This July 2022 empties review marks a big milestone in my use it up journey! For the past few years I have been doing one mask a day, and I have finally used them all up. The only masks that I have are two full-size tube Freeman masks that I want around for my skin concerns. Now, I will do masks when I need to, and not on a daily basis. Of course, I will still find masks to try and I will feature them in empties posts. But, you should expect these posts to be significantly shorter from here on out. Masks have always padded my numbers because they are fast to use. I am super excited about this milestone, and I have 15 products to share.

July 2022 Empties Review

Skincare

First in this July 2022 empties review is 13 skincare items.

  • elf Jelly Pop Watermelon Glitter Face Mask: This mask is metallic pink with a fine glitter that completely washes off of the skin. It has a texture that seems like a peel-off, but it is not. There is some watermelon scent, but it is not bad. I did not see this mask doing anything for my skin, so I will not buy again.
  • Freeman Hydrating Glacier Water + Pink Peony Gel Cream Mask: I have reviewed this mask many times over. I prefer to use it as a wash off instead of overnight, and it does hydrate the skin. The scent tends to irritate my eyes. I have no plans to buy again.
  • Freeman Sweet Tea + Lemon Peel Off Clay Mask: I have used this mask several times over, but I did not think it was as painful to remove as it sometimes is. I never see this doing much of anything to cause me to buy it again on its own.
  • C’est Moi Gentle Makeup Remover Cleansing Wipes: These are now my number one favorite wipes, putting Neutrogena in the number two spot. These are the first wipes that I do not have to add micellar water too! When you pull a wipe out you can see how wet it is, almost with bubbles, and they are just perfect. Besides that, they have a textured side, they do not irritate my eyes, and the size and quality is great. These get the job done and they are totally worth the repurchase and the higher price.
  • Pick Up & Go Fruity Facial Mask in Nourishing Mango: This mask has awkwardly sized holes for the eyes and mouth, but I have experienced worse. Like I say for almost all sheet masks, my skin feels hydrated but I see no special effects. I will not repurchase.
  • Pick Up & Go Fruity Facial Mask in Orange Moisturizing: My thoughts are the same as those on the above mask.
  • Freeman Anti-Stress Clay Mask: I have used this mask many times and I enjoy the color and the smell. It dries in a decent amount of time. This mask never gives me any effects, as I cannot prove it reduces stress. I have no plans to buy again.
  • Freeman Hydrating Aloe + Seaberry Sheet Mask: Freeman sheet masks are a bit big with extra fabric around the jaw area, and the slits are cut in odd places. Otherwise, all sheet masks give me hydrated and dewy skin temporarily, as does this one. I would rather hear from a dry skin person if this mask makes a difference in their life. Again, no plans to repurchase.
  • Freeman Detoxifying Charcoal + Sea Salt Sheet Mask: My thoughts on this mask are the same as those above. Plus, I cannot prove the anti-pollution benefits. I have no plans to buy this again.
  • Freeman Rose Gold Sheet Mask: These masks cover half of the face, doing the forehead down to the tops of the cheeks. They stay on well, and the foil does retain heat which causes your skin to absorb the serum well! My skin does not feel sopping wet after the treatment like it does with a traditional mask. I cannot prove that soothes stressed skin, but I used this first thing in the morning for a nice pick me up before makeup. I have no particular plans to repurchase. You can find the silver and gold versions in my January 2022 empties review.
  • Physicians Formula Hydrating Skin Booster Vitamin Shot: This serum does a good job of providing lightweight moisture into your routine that can also help to control oil production. This can be added to your oil control skincare routine! It absorbs into your skin easily, and layers well with other skincare and makeup. Also, the bottle is pretty! I am trying to use up several serums right now, so I have no direct plans to repurchase.
  • Hanhoo Blemish Moisturizer: This gel formula is a good one for oily or combo skin, as it will help with oil production. It is lightweight for all day moisturization and it layers will with other skincare and makeup. This does nothing for acne or blemishes. I will not buy again because I have a lot of moisturizers and others that work like this one, but it is nice. You can see the full Hanhoo blemish set in my after Christmas 2021 haul.
  • Spalife Soothing Antioxidant Me & You Masks: This is a two pack of sheet masks, a pink one for her with strawberry, and a blue one for him with blueberry. The paper is heavy and thick, plus it is oversized. So, they do not stay on the face well. The eye holes are not fully cut out, they are more so slits like they do for nose area. I do not see these masks doing anything, and I do not like the quality of Spalife sheet masks. I will not buy again.

Makeup

Second is one makeup product.

  • Hard Candy Sheer Envy Mattifying Face Primer: I do like the smooth formula of this primer and how it absorbs right into the skin and layers nice with everything. The funny part is, it gives me a healthy glow and hydrates the skin! I see zero matte finish, yet it makes a great base for makeup application. It does not extend makeup wear time, but everything applies and wears normally over top. I have no plans to repurchase as I own way too much primer.

Body Care

Last in this July 2022 empties review is one body care item.

  • Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub: I am very familiar with this body scrub! It effectively washes away dry skin without being too rough. This is not a body wash, but it makes a great addition to your routine. Plus, it features the Original Pink scent. I never repurchase this because I get it in gift sets.

Conclusion

In summary of this July 2022 empties review, it is monumental to finish my mask stash! While these posts will shrink over time, my stockpile is still bursting with items that I am working hard on each day. It seems as if I will never get through face wash, body wash, and moisturizer. Those are the real items bogging me down. But, progress is made every day and I appreciate your support. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
