I am sitting here in shock over how quickly May flew by! To consider the fact that the year is practically half over is not a concept that I can process yet. My May 2022 empties review features 16 items. This is a great example of how sheet masks can really pad an empties review. I am still having a great time working diligently away at so many products! Get ready for in-depth, detailed reviews on everything from May.

May 2022 Empties Review

Skincare

I am starting off this May 2022 empties review with nine skincare items.

  • Found Aloe After Sun Sheet Mask: Found masks always fit the face well, and this one does a good job of cooling the skin and hydrating it. I actually used this on my hot face after sitting under a blowdryer bonnet, and it works quite well. I can understand why you would want this for after sun. As of now I have no plans to buy again, unless I get a sunburn.
  • Abi Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Serum: This serum easily absorbs into the skin without leaving a residue behind, and it hydrates all day. It does not reduce my oil production. I prefer 100% hyaluronic acid, and this serum is a mixture of several ingredients. There is no reason to repurchase.
  • AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment: This serum gel does a good job on my acne blemishes, when included in my nighttime skincare routine. It is less expensive than what I normally use, which is the Balance Me Congested Skin Serum, but works just as well. They sent me this for free to do a Spot The Difference review, but yes I would buy this again.
  • Skin Proud Refresher Hydrating Face Mist: This lightweight, fine spray does a good job of hydrating the skin. Whether you use it as a part of your skincare routine, to refresh during the day, or over makeup, this is a nice one. I personally do not have much of a reason to buy again.
  • No 7 Restore & Renew Face & Neck Multi Action Serum: I do not see this serum doing anything, which is the story of my life with this brand. It does not layer well with other skincare or makeup, as you will get pilling. I will not buy again.
  • elf Holy Hydration Eye Cream: As mentioned in my elf Holy Hydration collection review, this eye cream meets its claim of hydrating the under eye area. It is not for brightening or anti-aging. While it works, it is unnecessary. Your moisturizer is good enough. I will not repurchase.
  • Ponds Purify & Refresh Makeup Remover Facial Wipes: These wipes are very thin and cheap, plus they are dry. I add micellar water to help them to work. I will not repurchase.
  • AXIS-Y Dark Spot Correcting Glow Serum: While I luckily only battle dark spots on rare occasions so I cannot speak to that, this serum is a nice part of an acne skincare routine. It provides a natural glow to the skin without shimmer that looks healthy, as it fights acne. This was sent to me for free to review, but I am not against buying it again.
  • Freeman Detoxifying Charcoal + Black Sugar Mud Mask: By now you should know this is one of my all-time-favorite charcoal mud masks, as it is helpful for acne. It dries in about 10 to 15 minutes and I would buy the full-size.

Makeup

Second is one makeup product.

  • tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Paaarty: I really do enjoy the Amazonian clay blush line because the formula lasts all day without fading, plus it is easy to apply and to build the color. Paaarty in particular is the perfect shade for daily wear with any look. While I am not repurchasing this, I do have several other clay blushes in my collection in this same mini-pan format.

Bodycare

Third is two body care products.

  • Soap & Glory Clean On Me Hydrating Body Wash: As I have reviewed this several times over, this body wash is creamy and moisturizing! The scent is great, and of course, it cleanses well. I still have more to use up, as I get it in gift sets.
  • Soap & Glory Heel Genius: I have used up another tube! This is my ride-or-die foot cream because it fixes even the worst feet, and keeps them soft and smooth. A true miracle product, I will always repurchase.

Haircare

Finally for this May 2022 empties review is four hair care items.

  • Herbal Essences Bio Renew Sheer Moisture Cucumber & Green Tea In-the-Shower Foam Conditioner: Foam conditioners have never impressed me, and this is the same. My hair does not get a good condition with them, as if nothing is happening. The scent here is nice and light. I will not repurchase, but I do have two more cans in different scents.
  • Hask Provence Rose Color Protect & Revitalize Deep Conditioner: I used this deep conditioner within the week after bleaching my hair, and it did take away that last bit of dryness. It is not strong enough for use right after bleach, and does nothing for frizz, but it at least makes your hair feel like you did a treatment. This is not astounding enough to buy again.
  • Dove Refresh + Care Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo: This dry shampoo does work. I only get white residue if I go too crazy with it, but it is easy to brush out. It does a decent enough job of removing oil. Most dry shampoos give me a few seconds of volume, then it goes flat when I brush. That is my hair type, so I am not mad at this. I actually repurchased the full-size because it works good enough for the price, and I cannot find my favorite Suave one anymore.
  • Garnier Fructis Wonder Mask + Amla Extract: Since the coconut oil version of this hair mask worked wonders for me, I wanted to try the Amla version. This one did not have the same effects as noted in my February 2022 empties review. Everyone’s hair is different, so you might like this one and not the coconut version. Yes, it does make my hair feel like it was deep conditioned, but it does not provide as much smoothing and frizz control as the other, plus the minimal effects do not last as long in between washes. I will not repurchase this one.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this May 2022 empties review, 16 is a lighter month for me, but that does not mean that I am not reaching my panning goals. I am still working on squeeze tube masks and making great progress there, and my final small bottle of body spray is almost gone. This post also contains my favorite foot cream, a foam conditioner that has taken ages to empty, and other stuff that I am blessed to share with you all. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Are there certain products that you are determined to use up this year?
