In this Ohora vs. Dashing Diva comparison and contrast article, I am dipping deep the strengths and weaknesses of each, helping you decide which one is best for you.
Where to Buy
Ohora can be found at Walmart, Amazon, Target, and their website. Dashing Diva can be found at most major drugstore retailers, as well as their website.
The brands offer a stunning assortment of colors and designs for any and all occasions.
Both brands claim to last up to 14 days of wear that is chip proof, and with lasting shine. Their formulas offer a dome effect, which means the gel is thicker in the center and thinner at the cuticle to give you a molded effect to your natural nail.
Application
The steps are virtually the same. You should always start with clean, dehydrated nails. Select the best size strip for each nail, and size down if you are in between sizes.
I like to start applying the strips on my pinkies and work up to my thumbs. You may use cuticle scissors, nail clippers, or fake nail clippers to remove the excess overhang. Both brands require an LED light to cure.
The one difference is that Dashing Diva tells you to cure, then file the tips, where as Ohora has this in reverse. I always cure then file because it is so much easier to file when they are hardened.
Removal
They are both the same. All you need to do is gently and slowly peel them off to avoid damaging your natural nails. You may use a drop of cuticle oil on each nail to aid the process.
Review
For starters, they both did a good job with sizing, especially for me as a small woman. I do not need to custom size any of the Ohora strips, and only had to do about two per each hand with Dashing Diva.
Both brands fully cure and harden with the LED light, but leave some flexibility for your natural nail. They effectively protect your nails from chips and cracking during wear.
I also love that they are easily to file with no lifting or peeling at the ends. This means no fuzzies get stuck on the tips, nor does your hair get stuck underneath.
No matter which brand you pick, you end up with a super shiny manicure that looks like fake nails, and the shine lasts for the full 14 days of wear. The strips themselves do not crack or chip. The only negative is that application takes some time, so I prefer to leave these for special occasions. All in all, both are virtually the same.
Below you can see the kits available to compare. I have a complete Dashing Diva Glaze review that covers the step-by-step application and the starter kit. I also have an Ohora Semi Cured Gel Nail Strips review that covers the same points. I use the Dashing Diva LED lamp with the Ohora strips.

Shop The Strips
This concept is simply genius! I am building up a collection of strips for every occasion. How often do you wear nail polish strips? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

So these go on soft but get hard under the light?
Yes! They do keep some flexibility to move with your nail. When you over cure them they can get brittle and end up cracking.
