December 2022 Empties Review

The year is over, and I am in disbelief as usual! We are rounding things out with this December 2022 empties review. I ended with 12 items, which is admittedly low. Sometimes the holiday distracts me from the products that I am working on, but it is ok! I have a great lineup ready for the new year to empty with all of you. Time to dive into this last batch of reviews.

December 2022 Empties Review

Skincare

First in this December 2022 empties review is eight skincare items.

• Yes To Grapefruit Brightening Peel-off Mask: This mask is not painful to remove, but is rather on the thin side when it comes to gripping it to peel. I did not see any effects and will not buy it again.
• Yes To Coconut Ultra Hydrating Energizing Coffee Peel-off Mask: This mask is like the one above, and it does have an interesting coffee scent with a hint of something else, such as coconut. Again, I do not see a reason to repurchase.
• Yes To Avocado Fragrance-free Hydrating Cream Mask: While this is called a cream mask, it acts a bit more like a clay. I do find that it hydrates the skin, which makes it a nice mask. I still do not see myself buying it again.
• Yes To Cucumbers Calming Bubbling Paper Mask: This mask does bubble, but not as much as others that I have tried. The fit is strange, as it seems to be made for an oval head shape. Otherwise, it acts as any other paper mask and I have no plans to buy again.
• Moodmask Get Dewy With It Mega Moisture Sheet Mask: This is a great mask for hydration and moisture, plus it stays on the face well. I would not be against using it again, but I have no express plans to buy it.
• Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Vitamin C: I love this micellar water because it provides an immediate brightening effect to the skin that looks healthy and natural. Besides that, Garnier is great because it gets the job done effectively without burning your eyes. I will definitely buy this again.
• elf Holy Hydration Keep Your Balance Toner: This toner does supply a light level of hydration to the skin. I do not have plans to buy it again, as toner is not something I find completely necessary in my routine. You can read more in my elf Holy Hydration collection review.
• wet n wild Fantasy Makers Lip Scrub in Pumpkin Spice: This lip scrub is effective! I will say that the potted nature is messy. The orange color with the black beads blend together to make a pukey color. This is limited edition and cannot be repurchased.

Haircare

Next is one haircare item.

• Suave Up The Volume Shampoo and Conditioner: I am usually not impressed with shampoo and conditioner samples, but I really did see an effect here! My hair does not do volume, and it is not something that I saw at the roots. It seemed like my hair got more body and bounce, as it laid a particular way. I am considering buying the duo.

Makeup

Third in this December 2022 empties review is two makeup products.

• Loreal Voluminous Mascara in Burgundy: In terms of formula, I have an unpopular opinion that this mascara leaves something to be desired in terms of length and volume. I bought this for the color, which can be super flattering on many. The burgundy of mine was pretty dark, and it looked more black to me as the day progressed, but it was not wearing off by any means. I will not repurchase any color.
• elf Matte Magic Mist & Set: This setting spray does a good job of setting your makeup with a matte finish. I do believe that it extends wear time, to an extent. My goal is now to use up all of the setting sprays that I bought in order to create my elf Setting Spray review, so I do not really have a reason to buy it again.

Fragrance

Last is one body spray.

• Body Fantasies Californian Lemon Verbena Body Spray: As a lemon fan I can tell you that this body spray is perfectly fine. There is no reason to phone home about it, but it suits the need if you are in the market. I am still on a body spray no buy, so I am not repurchasing.

Conclusion

In summary of this December 2022 empties review, this year was alright. I killed masks and makeup wipes. However, my stockpile of moisturizer, face wash, hand cream, and body wash is like a beast that will not die. The holidays always get me restocked for the new year, and that means more masks to pad the numbers for several months. I am now back on track and better than ever.
