About Me
I began my writing journey in 2011, but I never had a space to call my own. Fast-forward to early in my college career where I felt a strong pull to begin a website dedicated to beauty and style. When I put some thought into it, I came to realize that my lifestyle is easy to share. It was not until the start of my junior year in July 2015 that the concept became a reality. I figured that there has to be others in the world that have similar interests as mine, and that I could connect with them by writing. Over the years I have had the pleasure to test many products. I have been mentioned in publications such as BestLife and Bustle. I have also worked with brands such as CurrentBody and AXIS-Y Skincare.
MISSION AND PHILOSOPHY
Here at The Aesthetic Edge my goal or purpose comes down to one word- inspiration. This website should inspire you to create new outfits while educating you on what clothing you should buy to get the best bang for you buck. I want to help you discover new makeup, beauty, and skin care products and figure out which to buy and which to pass on. Finally, let’s not forget about my passion for nails and wanting to assist you with nail art. These goals are accomplished by me sharing what I buy, swatching and reviewing products, and making outfits for all occasions. If you like and support what I do, or you are reading this and I remind you of yourself, then join me.

Style
While I believe that anyone can learn about fashion and the art of creating outfits, I also think that there are people that are blessed with the ability, or talent, to do so naturally. I am one of those people. Be it in my own closet or out and about shopping, I cannot stop my brain from pairing up pieces to construct full outfits. Back when I worked in retail with clothing, I even made outfits on the sales floor. Fun fact- I have been called a fashionista in real life. I do not wear designer or high-end clothing or tout fancy logos, labels, brand names. The clothing that I wear comes from local and discount stores. This is what I do, and I could not be happier.
Thoughts on
Beauty
For me, wearing makeup is not about looking good for other people. It is about showing off who I am and being proud of the skin I was born in. Makeup is a form of self-expression. I enjoy buying it, touching it, and admiring it’s various colors, textures, and finishes. I yearn to experiment with new products and application methods. Some may say that I buy and own too much makeup, but it is my passion, and for that you can never have too much.
