This May 2023 empties review contains 13 items that are mostly split between skincare and beauty. Things are still a bit slow in empties land, as they have not been my primary focus this year. I am still working on things that take a while, and I am out of quick, one-time-use masks. Despite the pace of life, I am glad that I get to discuss something with you all. Let’s get into the reviews!
Skincare
First in this May 2023 empties review is seven skincare items.
- Rael Beauty Hydration Refresh + Moisturize Facial Sheet Mask (3): These sheet masks fit the face very well and they stay on. They are also super hydrated with serum. I find that they do hydrate the skin. These are higher quality than some other sheet masks, which makes them great for some self-care time or a spa party. I have no plans to buy these again, but I loved each use.
- Rael Beauty Vitamin C Brighten + Glow Facial Sheet Mask (2): My review for these masks are the same as the one above, but of course the Vitamin C helps to give you a healthy, natural glow.
- Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser: This face wash successfully cleanses your skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. I always get this as a part of the Sunday Riley All About Acne Kit, so I never need to buy it individually.
- Freeman Clearing Sweet Tea + Lemon Peeling Clay Mask: This peel-off mask is slightly painful to remove, but I always liked it for helping with acne. Plus, the scent is pleasant. I have no plans to repurchase as I normally get this in sets.
Beauty
Second are three beauty products.
- elf Illuminating Mist & Set: This makeup setting spray sets your look down just fine, provides a light level of illumination, and slightly extends the wear time of makeup. You may want to try it out as a budget find from my elf setting spray review, but otherwise, I have too many sprays to use up so I will not be buying this again.
- Marc Jacobs Finish Line Perfecting Coconut Setting Powder in 34 Invisible: This setting powder does successfully set the face with a matte finish, and it bakes decently. However, it does not extend the wear time of makeup and it will let your natural oils through. This is out out of the ordinary enough to cause me to buy it again.
- wet n wild Lip Scrub in Cranberry Peppermint: This is a limited-edition flavor of their lip scrub that was only available as a stocking stuffer in-store at Walmart. While this cannot be repurchased, their formula does effectively, yet gently, scrub away dead skin from your lips. I will continue to use their flavors from the regular line.
Fragrance
Third are two fragrance products.
- Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter: This is a sweet and fruity fragrance with a punch of vanilla. I repurchased the full-size because my boyfriend likes the scent. Otherwise, I probably would have passed, but it is perfectly good.
- Body Fantasies Paradise Fantasy: This is a fruity body spray that embodies the smells of summer. The notes include mango, mandarin orange, and pina colada. It is entirely enjoyable to wear, but I have no special reason to buy it again.
Bodycare
I am ending this May 2023 empties review with one body care item in the form of lotion.
- Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter: This is a thick and luxurious body cream that successfully hydrates the skin all day. It features their Original Pink scent. I never buy it individually because I get it in gift sets, but I have used this product a million times over.
Conclusion
In summary of this May 2023 empties review, there are a lot of good brands here, even if I am not overflowing with used up products. You might be surprised by how long it takes to get through a makeup item, even when it is only a sample, or full-size bottles of shampoo and body wash. Nevertheless, I persist in getting my monies worth. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
