This August 2023 empties review is another short one with five items. However, it shows a good accomplishment. I have finally used up all shampoos and conditioners, so now I can use the ones that I want in my permanent rotation. I was able to knock out another face wash and body spray, which is getting me closer to my goal of finishing those. The road is still long! I hope you will join me as I discuss each product in detail.

Skincare

First in this August 2023 empties review is two skincare items.

  • CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser: This face wash gently foams to effectively clean, while providing a light level of hydration. I like that it does not contain fragrance or dyes. Even though it is for dry skin, it works just fine for combination too. I want something that is designed for acne, so I will not buy this again.
  • elf Pure Skin Toner: This toner makes your skin feel super soft! If you are in the market for that effect, it is perfect. I have full details in my elf Pure Skin review. Ultimately, this toner is not necessary in my skincare routine to cause me to buy it again.

Haircare

Next are two hair care items.

  • Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo: This shampoo (and conditioner) was a repurchase after trying the sample. Besides cleansing the hair, it does a good job of hydrating. It helps with some of my frizz, but not totally. You can feel the softness. I will say, I struggle with a dry scalp, and these products definitely made it worse. However, I really like the duo. I am not buying them again only because I want to have a small, focused group of shampoo and conditioners. Plus, it is pricey.
  • Moroccanoil Hydrating Conditioner: The above review covers my thoughts. I will add that this is a nice conditioner. It is rather lightweight in formula compared to a “normal” conditioner.

Fragrance

The last item in this August 2023 empties review is Body Fantasies Kissing in the Rain. This is a fruity floral fragrance with notes of spring rain accord, juicy orange, and sweet honeysuckle. I find it to be quite enjoyable for every day wear. Since I am currently working to use up my entire collection of body spray, I am not repurchasing anything. I have been on a no buy for years.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this August 2023 empties review, a small month can still be a big gain! I really did enjoy each of these products. Often, I do not repurchase because I want to focus on reducing my stock pile. I can highly recommend these products to you if they fit your needs. I am no longer trying to empty shampoo and conditioner, which feels amazing. Sometimes using up body wash, moisturizer, and fragrance feels hopeless, and I often consider donating everything and starting a new. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Does emptying your stock pile often seem discouraging?
