Having a shorter month can make you feel off kilter, but I will not let that shadow my empties effort! My February 2023 empties review features 14 items, which are primarily skincare. I like to start the year off with items that naturally take longer to use up, before I reach one-time-use quick hits. This is also the time when I am deep in goodies from Christmas gift sets. I am going to review each individual item and let you know if they wow me enough to buy again.

Skincare

I am starting the February 2023 empties review with my roundup of skincare items.

  • Freeman Glacier Water + Pink Peony Hydrating Gel Cream Mask (2): I prefer to use this mask as a wash off instead of overnight. It does a good job of hydrating the skin, especially for dry skin types. I will say right now that I have no particular plans to repurchase any of these Freeman masks because I get them in gift sets.
  • Freeman Charcoal + Black Sugar Deep Cleansing Mud Mask: This is one of my all-time-favorite charcoal mud masks because the formula is the real deal, and it is good for dry skin. I would consider buying this if I ever used up all of my masks.
  • Freeman Watermelon + Aloe Soothing Gel Mask: This mask smells nice and provides some hydration. I really do not find that it soothes or calms the skin in any way.
  • Freeman Dead Sea Minerals Anti-Stress Clay Mask: I always enjoy the bright teal color of this mask, as well as the smell. Proving that a mask can be “anti-stress” is a stretch. It is more fun than anything.
  • C’est Moi Gentle Moisture Lotion: This is a lightweight moisturizer, and a little bit goes a long way. It does effectively hydrate the skin all day, but it does not control oil production for my combination skin. It layers well with other skincare and makeup, but I will not repurchase because I want oil to be controlled.
  • AXIS-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen: I really like this facial sunscreen because it lives up to its no-stress name, in the sense that it is easy to apply and layers will with skincare and makeup. It will leave a white cast on the skin that dissipates over time. This is not unusual for a physical sunscreen, and does not make me mad. It does not clog pores or make you oily. I would absolutely repurchase this, plus it lasts a while. You can get the full details in my AXIS-Y Complete No-Stress Physicial Sunscreen review.
  • Bliss Spa-to-Go Resurfacing 10-Minute Enzyme Facial: After using this tiny pot up, I am doubtful that I saw any effects, including “resurfacing.” The pumpkin formula smells nice. I am not impressed enough to try the full-size.
  • Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water: Garnier micellar water is a fan-favorite for a reason- because it works! It effectively cleanses the skin and removes makeup without residue or burning your eyes. The only reason I never repurchase it is that nothing stands up to my favorite Epielle micellar water that hydrates the skin.
  • elf Superclarify: I find this to be a basic face wash that gets the job done without being too foamy. I have no particular reason to buy it again.
  • Masque Bar Cranberry Cream Mask: As I discuss in my January 2023 empties review where I cover more Masque Bar masks, their cream formula is not a cream at all. It dries down like a mud mask. The cranberry smell and light pink color is nice, but I did not see any effects to cause me to buy it again.

Beauty

I am ending this February 2023 empties review with some beauty products.

  • wet n wild Little Twin Stars Sweet Dreams Lip Mask: I am all about this stick lip mask formula because it is so lightweight no matter how much you layer on, you might forget you are wearing it! This is nice to layer under a lip color as well. It is not tinted, nor does it drag or tug your lips. My lips always feel great when I use it. This is limited edition and cannot be repurchased, but they have re-released it in another collection. You can read more details in my wet n wild Little Twin Stars collection review.
  • Babe Original Babe Brow Amplifying Serum: I believe that this brow serum helps growth to an extent. My brows did not get fuller, but I felt that I needed to pluck more. The hairs did not get darker, but since they are already dark brown, perhaps that is not a possibility for me. This simply did not blow me away like their lash serum does, so I have decided not to buy more. I break this serum down fully in my Babe Original lash and brow serum review.
  • Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer: This eyeshadow primer checks every box that I look for. It provides a smooth base for eyeshadow application, and it prevents fading, creasing, and movement. The only reason I will not repurchase it is that you can find the same results with cheaper primers. For my entire list of favorites, you must read my roundup of long lasting eyeshadow primer.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this February 2023 empties review, I would like to work through double the amount that I did, but no month is a failure. In the next coming months, the results will be bigger because I have reached one-time-use masks that will pad my numbers. Besides those, I have several makeup items that are almost empty. I know this year I will knock out the mid-size body sprays that I am working on. I hold great faith that my stockpile will dwindle in 2023! Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Are there any products you are determined to use up this year?
