The year is half over which means we are due for a Walmart Beauty Box Summer 2023 review. This box is arriving right on time and without a single hiccup in payment or shipping. I will cover each product in detail as we determine if the subscription is still worth it.

Salon Perfect Mani to Go Reusable Nail Set

While I cannot find a shade name on the package, this mauve hue is 100% up my alley as one of my favorite colors! Slam dunk, Walmart! Each set features 30 coffin-shaped nails with a double-sided file and glue. A mesh carrying bag is included. The idea is that you can press-on the nails for a manicure anytime, anywhere. The kit should be quick to apply, comfortable to wear, and easy to use.

The claims of reusable and easy to remove do make me nervous. I would imagine the glue is purposely not long-wearing, so keep that in mind. All glue on nails are technically reusable, but the glue residue on the back of the nail will cause it to not adhere properly on reuse. You will have to clean the glue off to the best of your ability, which normally requires acetone. Acetone breaks down fake nails, so caution is necessary.

As a small woman, fake nails are never sized right for me. I always have to custom make a pair by sizing with scissors and a nail file. I find that the sizes are pretty darn good here, which is impressive! Also, this is the full-size package that retails for $4.94.

No 7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum

This is the full-size 30mL tube that Walmart sells for $26.17! They also offer a 50mL option. I have tried their serums in the past in sample sizes, and normally they do not layer the best with skincare or makeup. This serum claims to dramatically slow the signs of aging and to be fast-absorbing. It is made to target dark spots, wrinkles, and lack of firmness. It should leave your skin feeling firmer, lifted, and visibly brighter over time. All you need to do is to apply an even layer over your face and neck in the morning and at night.

Sally Hansen Salon Pro Brush Kit

This kit sells for $10.30, and I have always wanted to try their brushes. In the kit you get three brushes: a glitter/gradient, fan, and cleanup.

Maybelline Falsies Surreal Mascara in Very Black

It claims to provide 36% more length and 10x the volume. The formula contains hybrid fiber technology, which is a mix of different sized fibers up to three millimeter. The extended helix brush should load your lashes from root to tip. It should be clump, flake, smudge, and smear resistant for up to 24 hours of wear.

Nyx Smooth Whip Matte Lip Cream in Cherry Creme

It claims to provide 24 hour wear with high impact color. It should glide on smoothly with a creamy formula and intense color that is full coverage in one swipe. Your lips should be left with a smooth sensation for comfortable wear.

The name, applicator, and formula reminds me exactly of the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream line, but the swatch is different. It did not dry down, which means the color transfers and maintains some shine. Perhaps it will wear differently on the lips. I find that the color is buildable to full coverage.

I received three full-sized products that sell for $42 total, not even counting the deluxe samples. All of the brands are the cream of the crop from the drugstore, and nothing here is a repeat.
