So many big name brands are getting into pride products, and wet n wild is no different. The tiny wet n wild Pride collection features three limited edition items to take note of, plus four items from the permanent line. I am reviewing those items, which includes swatches, detailed reviews, and a makeup look. Please note that wet n wild is donating $10,000 to Glaad to support their work of inclusive representation in media channels!
As a part of my wet n wild 2020 new products post, I shared the metallic palette with you. You might recall that they released a “pride” version of it, which was simply a rainbow cover with the exact same shades. This is the brand’s first actual collection.
Where To Buy The wet n wild Pride Collection
I will start with where you can buy the wet n wild Pride limited edition collection. It is now available in Walgreens stores, but I would not expect to see it on their website. The products are also on Amazon.
wet n wild Pride Collection Review
Pride Palette For Eye and Face
The first item in this wet n wild Pride collection review is the Pride Palette for Eye and Face. The shades are numbered one through 12 on the back in lieu of shade names. Shades two, four, five, six, eight, 10, and 12 are not for use in the eye area.
As you can see with the swatches, the shimmers and satins pick up well on the finger, but the mattes do not. However, everything applies well with a brush, which is what counts! I am impressed by how well the yellow shows up on my pale skin, and the purple works well considering that is a tough shade to manufacture. This palette definitely has the usual wet n wild formula and quality that I feel has gone missing over the past year.
Claims: This palette features 12 hyper-pigmented shades that can be used wet or dry. They should glide on like silk and blend seamlessly for long-lasting wear. You get a mix of mattes, shimmers, and satins.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Pride Makeup Brush Set
Second in the wet n wild Pride collection is the Pride Makeup Brush Set. These brushes look highly familiar to several others from past collections. We have seen the liquid confetti filled handles multiple times. If you are planning on getting these, do know that the brand makes excellent brushes that are of high quality, and they are sturdy and long-lasting. I will always promote them! P.S. the “eyeshadow” brush is definitely for the crease.
Claims: This set of powder and eyeshadow brushes have synthetic fibers to pick up the right amount of product and to blend to perfection.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Pride Makeup Sponge Set
Third is the Pride Makeup Sponge Set. The two included shapes can be found in their permanent line, but the swirl design is new for the brand. wet n wild releases a bunch of limited edition sponges, but I suppose that you can never have too many. They expand when wet and are super soft. Plus, I can tell that they do not absorb a lot of product. I will forever be a fan!
Claims: The different shapes included in this sponge set are great for all-over application. You will get smooth, streak-free coverage. The hydrophilic material expands to twice its size and will not absorb product.

Rating: 5 out of 5.The Other Items
The collection features four other makeup items that are available in the permanent, everyday line, but they have been put in Pride packaging. You do not need to purchase those if you already own these items. I personally did not repurchase, but I will speak to them now:
- Mega Volume Mascara: wet n wild mascara is not the best, and Mega Volume is no different. I see no volume with it, but some lengthening.
- Mega Length Mascara: This is a cult-favorite mascara for the bottom lashes. I would not recommend it otherwise. I am sorry that I forgot to put this in the picture, so I included it separately!
- Breakup Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner: This is an excellent, basic eyeliner pen from the drugstore that is easy to use.
- Breakup Proof Retractible Eyeliner: This is my favorite retractable pencil eyeliner! It lasts on the waterline all day, with minor fading at the inner and outer corner. It does not irritate my eyes, plus the pencil glides smoothly over the skin without skipping or tugging.
wet n wild Pride Limited Edition Collection Look
I am ending with a wet n wild Pride makeup look. This is a great example of how you can create an “illusion” with makeup! The eye with the lighter colors looks more open and awake, versus the eye with the darker colors. Here are the products that I used:
- primefocus Pore Minimizing Primer Serum
- photofocus Eyeshadow Primer
- barefocus Tinted Hydrator Tinted Skin Veil in Fair
- megalast Incognito All-Day Full-Coverage Concealer in Fair Beige
- barefocus Clarifying Finishing Powder in Translucent
- photofocus Translucent Loose Setting Powder
- coloricon Bronzer in Ticket To Brazil
- coloricon Blush in Mellow Wine
- megaglo Highlighting Powder in Precious Petals
- Brow-Sessive Brow Pencil in Dark Brown
- megaclear Brow & Lash Mascara
- Take Your Vitamins Super Nutrient Face Mist
- Pride Palette For Eye and Face
- Breakup Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black
- Mega Volume Mascara in Very Black
- Saved By The Bell Lip Liner in Jessie
- Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse in Girl, You’re Whipped
For the eyeshadow look I work one eye at a time. To reduce the number of brushes used, it is super handy to own a color switcher! To achieve the rainbow effect I apply a shade to the inner third of the eyelid, the next shade to the middle, and the final shade to the outer third, using an eyeshadow brush. Then, I use a crease brush and follow the same process to get each shade into the crease. Finally, I connect the shade in the outer third down to the lower lash line, and work across to get all three shades applied to match the eyelid. Be sure to blend really well to avoid harsh lines.
I am using shades 9, 6, and 2 on one eye, and shades 8, 12, and 11 on the other.

Conclusion
In conclusion of the wet n wild Pride collection, the number one must-have is the eyeshadow palette, based on the quality. I appreciate that they went with a different range of rainbow hues, because rainbow palettes are highly overdone. The rest of the items we have seen over and over from previous collections. You might consider grabbing them if you are a serious wet n wild collector, like myself. Otherwise, there are four items that are not limited edition. I am giving five out of five stars to the main items of focus, because the quality is there. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
