The best way that I can describe Physicians Formula Rosé All Day Petal Glow is that it is not your average highlighter. Here I am going to explore the full shade range, which includes swatches, a review, and color descriptions. By the end you will know if these products work, how to best use them, and what colors you want to purchase.
Details & Claims
If you want access to the full, four shade range, you need to check out Physicians Formula’s website, Rite Aid, or Amazon. Otherwise, Walmart and Target carry two shades. The prices do differ between all of the retailers.

These are brightening and illuminating powders that are designed to deliver an all-over-glow. The finish is pearl-luminous. You can use these as highlighter, blush, or eyeshadow. Below is the brand’s video on how to use these products:
The key ingredients in Physicians Formula rose highlighter are kakadu plum, rose water, and goji. They promote hydrated, soft skin that is also luminous.
Swatches & Shades
While all of the shades are sold separately, you will see that I have not purchased Freshly Picked in a single compact. The reason is that it exists in both the All Star-Face Palette and the Exteriorglam set, and I own those already. Below are the shade names with color descriptions:
- Soft Petal – pearly pink
- Freshly Picked – champagne
- Petal Pink – soft pink
- Shimmering Rose – rose gold
You can easily see the gentle luminance in the swatches, which translates to a healthy glow on the skin.

Review
If you have tried anything from the rose collection, you know that it has a distinctive, yet pretty, rose scent. The same scent is evident with these powders, but it is not overbearing, nor does it last on the skin.
Also, these powders feel luxuriously creamy. They glide right over the skin and practically blend themselves, which the brand always does a great job of doing with their formulations. You can absolutely build these up to your desired level of color and shimmer.
In terms of wearing these as a powder highlight, these are not the best options in terms of highlighter for fair skin. On me, Soft Petal works the best, and I can just get by with Freshly Picked. The other two shades are way too dark on my skin. We do have to bear in mind that these are a hybrid product that can be used all over the face for different purposes.
Depending on your skin tone, you may want to use these as blush, or as a blush topper, aka “blushlighter.” These will provide a lovely fresh and healthy glow to the skin. You can also use these as eyeshadow, and possibly all over the face as a luminous finishing powder. All in all they work and are of high quality, but you might have to experiment to see where they best work in your makeup routine.

These are not your ordinary highlighters by any means. Really, these are a multi-functional makeup item targeted to give you a fresh glow. They work as gorgeously as they look in the pan, but they take some experimentation to figure out where to use them on your face. How do you feel about these powders? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
