wet n wild has surprised us with a small collection out of the blue! This new collection was dropped on September 16 on their website called wet n wild Mood. It is unusual for them to launch two collections in tandem, as Fantasy Makers is also rolling out. Before any announcement was made, I found nearly everything “secretly” on Amazon for sale, namely the lippies and sponges. This 10 piece collection features cannabis sativa infused eyeshadow, lip gloss and pencil liner lip kits, lip oils, blush, and sponges. Before we begin, I do want to note that the Monday Feels products are coffee scented/flavored, while the Zero F’s Given products are cinnamon. They are not overbearing and fade away in a few minutes.

Monday Feels Color-Changing Makeup Sponge

First in the wet n wild Mood collection is the Monday Feels Color-Changing Makeup Sponge. We first got a color changing sponge from the wet n wild Care Bears collection, and this is no different. This is their normal sponge shape, and it goes from an unusual gray/white tone to a pale peach. Their color changing sponges are heat activated, so warm or hot water will immediately do the trick. But, they quickly fade back to their normal color. I will always stand by their sponges because they absorb very little product, expand when wet, and have the right amount of softness and bounce for a great blend.

Claims: This sponge provides seamless coverage and can be used anywhere. The tip helps you to work in detailed areas. It features hydrophilic material to minimize waste. You should be able to apply your favorite products with ease.

Monday Feels Lip Kit

Second in wet n wild Mood makeup is the Monday Feels Lip Kit. We have seen lip gloss and pencil lip liner kits in wet n wild Wild Crush and Saved By The Bell. In these kits you get a classic, wood pencil to sharpen, plus a matching lip gloss. wet n wild’s lip gloss formula is great because it is not heavy or sticky, rather, it feels moisturizing on the lips. This combo is prefect for the “your lips but better” look with the sheerness of the gloss, and the subtle mauve hue that you can wear daily. The pencil glides on easily without skipping or tugging, with a soft matte finish. Do note, the pencil is not scented.

Claims: The lip gloss should provide instant color and shine. The formula contains cannabis oil to soothe and condition the lips for a firmer look and feel.

Monday Feels Lip Oil

Third is the Monday Feels Lip Oil. We first saw lip oils in the form of a lipgloss/oil hybrid in the wet n wild Stitch collection. This is their first pure lip oil, and it is 100% clear and is the perfect product to give your lips a natural shine. You may prefer to layer it over another lip color. Their formula is not heavy, greasy, or oily. It definitely feels moisturizing and lightweight on the lips. Get ready to bring this into your no-makeup-makeup routine!

Claims: This is a soothing lip oil that feels like a serum on the lips to avoid a greasy or sticky feeling. It leaves your lips looking and feeling softer instantly.

Monday Feels Pigment Palette

Fourth is the Monday Feels Pigment Palette. This palette conforms to the style of the Wild Crush palettes. It does not have shade names, but they are numbered one through nine on the back of the palette. Shades four and five are not for use around the eye area. These produce a bunch of kick up in the pan, but the eyeshadows are velvety soft. You can easily build up the pigment and blend everything. Everything is well pigmented and lasts all day. The shimmers and satins are great looking dry! I have been not as impressed by wet n wild eyeshadow this year, but this is good.

Claims: This eyeshadow palette features nine hyper-pigmented shades in matte, shimmer, and satin finishes.

Monday Feels Complexion Enhancer

Fifth for wet n wild Mood is the Monday Feels Complexion Enhancer, which is a matte blush. This shade of light mauve pink is so natural and flattering on the cheeks, making it an easy choice for every day. The formula is soft and buildable to your desired intensity. I like that I can see the pigment and it lasts all day without fading. All of the Monday Feels products compliment each other well.

Claims: This blush should have a velvety finish to provide you with a natural glow. It is buildable from a transparent sheen to a bold pop of color.

Zero F’s Given Lip Kit

Next is the Zero F’s Given Lip Kit. My review, details, and thoughts on this lip kit are basically the same as the Monday Feels one above. However, I have one big note! wet n wild does not state this in the claims, but this gloss is a stain. It leaves behind an intense level of pigment that is wonderful. I had a hard time washing the swatch off of my hand, which never happens with gloss. This hue is not a true blue red, but more of a pink toned red, sort of like eating a cherry popsicle. This gloss is also full-coverage, which wet n wild does very well with glosses from time to time.

Claims: The lip gloss should provide instant color and shine. The formula contains cannabis oil to soothe and condition the lips for a firmer look and feel.

Zero F’s Given Lip Oil

Here is the Zero F’s Given Lip Oil. My thoughts and review on this oil is the same as those on the Monday Feels version above. I will say the red tint does not really show in the swatch or on the lips. It pretty much wears clear.

Zero F’s Given Color-Changing Makeup Sponge

Continuing on is the wet n wild Mood Zero F’s Given Color-Changing Makeup Sponge. My thoughts and review on this sponge is the same as the Monday Feels version from above. The only difference to note is that the color changes from periwinkle to lavender.

Zero F’s Given Pigment Palette

Next is the Zero F’s Given Pigment Palette. This palette also has numbered shades one through nine on the back. However, I do not find the quality of this is consistent with the Monday Feels version. Shades four and five basically look the same on the eye, and I cannot make shade five swatch for anything. These shades have less or lighter pigmentation. The purples do not pop as well, and shade eight looks more black on the skin versus purple in the pan. I can see that the intensity of the eye look fades a bit during the day. I recommend sticking with the Monday Feels palette. Shades two, three, six, and seven are not for use in the eye area.

Zero F’s Given Complexion Enhancer

Last for the wet n wild Mood Collection is the Zero F’s Given Complexion Enhancer. Much like I said for the Monday Feels blush, this is a buildable matte color that is super soft. If you like a nice red blush, which is really a staple, then you will love this!

Claims: This blush should have a velvety finish to provide you with a natural glow. It is buildable from a transparent sheen to a bold pop of color.

I am ending with two full face of wet n wild makeup looks to show you the collection. I am breaking the looks down by Monday Feels and Zero F’s Given.

Monday Feels

Here are all of the products that I used to create my Monday Feels makeup look:

To recreate the eye look, start by setting the eyelid with shade 6. Next, apply shade 7 to the crease, and bring it down along the entire lower lash line. Now, deepen the crease with shade 2. Then, apply shade 1 to the eyelid. Apply shade 4 to the outer corner, and connect it to the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with shade 1.

Zero F’s Given

For my Zero F’s Given look, I definitely wanted something that looked moody and edgy. Here are the products that I used:

To recreate the eye look, start by setting the eyelid with shade one. Next, apply shade five to the crease, and shade two along the lower lash line. Also use shade two to deepen the crease. Now, apply shade four to the eyelid. Then, apply shade nine to the outer corner and connect it to the lower lash line. Since this palette has no suitable highlight shades, I finished the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with the megaglo Highlighting Powder.

Conclusion

In summary of wet n wild Mood, this small collection is pretty darn good. You can always trust wet n wild sponges. The entire Monday Feels side of the collection has impeccable quality, plush natural shades that you will want to use all the time. The Zero F’s Given palette leaves something to be desired, but the lip stain gloss will blow you away. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
