TIRTIR Cushion Comparison On Combo Skin: Red Vs. Silver Vs. Pink

You do not need to buy every TirTir foundation, especially as they keep pumping out more formulas! I am doing a detailed TirTir cushion comparison of their core foundations on combination skin. My swatches and wear tests will help you to find your correct formula.

Details & Claims

No matter which formula you will go with, the shopping options are the same. The foundations are available from Amazon, YesStyle, and TirTir. Amazon does frequent sales, but YesStyle normally has a lower price because it ships from the source. This foundation is not sold in stores.

TirTir Red comes in a full size and a mini, as does TirTir Pink. TirTir Silver does not yet come in a mini. You can also purchase a color sample set of Red.

Red comes in 40 shades because it was the first formulation that went viral and broke the internet. Pink and Silver come in 20 shades, but I expect that to increase over time. All of the foundations are 0.63 fl oz for $25. The application puff and a mirror is included.

The most notable difference between each Mask Fit foundation is the claims and skin type. Red claims to provide buildable coverage and even conceal redness, blemishes, and under eye bags.

Silver claims an innovative plant-derived Eco Net Film that allows your skin to breathe and retain moisture to prevent a dull complexion. The fresh complexion is mentioned again with a high gloss film former, and the foundation should stay skin tight.

Pink claims a high-coverage finish that stays soft and skin-like. Similar to Silver, Pink speaks of a double shield technology which is a film coating that aides in better adhesion and longer wear.

Red calls out hibiscus and red propolis as the key ingredients (to improve elasticity), with Silver calling out hyaluronic acid, birch sap, and white hyaluronate (to deeply hydrate). Pink makes no callouts.

All of the foundations promise long-wear up to 72 hours without fading, cracking, creasing, or transferring. All of them should be lightweight and never cakey.

The finish of Red should be glassy or radiant, with Pink being velvety matte, and Silver being a subtle glow that is luminous, dewy, and healthy.

Red claims to be for all skin types, while Silver is best for dry and combination skin, and Pink is best for oily and combination skin.

The application instructions are the same for all of the foundations. Insert two fingers (or three if it feels loose) under the band of the puff. Firmly press the puff into the foundation once, then tap it on the underside of the lid to remove excess product. Then, bounce and blend it over your skin. The puff claims to give you preicison application, even in those tricky areas of the face.

To clean the puff, use warm water and brush cleaning liquid soap or dish soap. Hand wash at the sink, then air dry.

Swatches & Shades

I wear shade 17C Porcelain in all of their foundations. Many people say that while the shade names are the same, the actual color varies between each formula.

Below you can see labeled TirTir cushion comparison swatches of the shade across the three formulas. You can clearly see the shade difference. Silver is the most fair and closest match to me. Red and Pink are highly similar, with more yellow than Silver. Red is somehow… brighter…. than Pink. Once they are buffed into my skin and all complexion products are applied I do not notice much variation on my face. These are all compliment-worthy foundations on me.

Also, I do not experience any notable oxidation with any formula. People swear these oxidize terribly. I have my skincare and priming on lock, so maybe that is user error. I am really not sure.

Review

For this TirTir cushion comparison review I tested each foundation on its own through three trials, which I have individual reviews published on, and I have continued to use them in my day-to-day life. I have combination skin that is prone to acne, and I get only in the t-zone, especially on the forehead and the nose. Over the years I have tested hundreds of complexion products.

I will start with the similarities in my TirTir comparison. All of them layer well with makeup and skincare. The included puff works amazing well, even in those tight areas of the face. It absorbs very little product and is easy to clean. You can also use a damp sponge. Either way, the results are the same. All of these foundations are skin-like and lightweight and dry down about 98%.

Now the TirTir cushion diffrence review – get ready! Red goes a long way! One tap into the product is enough to cover half of your face, including down to the neck. It is buildable, but it goes to full coverage in a hurry, so building it is not really needed. It does have a bit of a smoothing or blurring effect on the skin. Silver goes a long way too, but I have to dip in a few more times. You end up with a subtle dewy finish that is natural, all with buildable high-medium coverage. Pink also has that combo thing going on of needing to dip in a few times, but it still goes a long way. The finish is a true satin or semi-matte, but lightweight. Again, no blurring or smoothing. Below you can see me wearing each foundation. They are worn over basic primer and not set with powder.

With foundation I always need to be careful of keeping a light hand, especially on my upper lip and chin, or else I get a heavy look that breaks down easier by the end of the day. I find that I cannot mess up Pink, but Red and Silver often get that heavy look. If you apply too much of Red or Silver, your look will go downhill fast.

At the end of the day, all of these foundations look pretty good! They face minor wear and tear, but nothing breaks down, cakes, flakes, and whatever else the claims said. They allow the slightest amount of oil to peak through, primarily on the forehead.

Pink is strikingly different in terms of wear. There is virtually no wear and tear, and this is the only product that has ever not sunk into my smile lines! It has spoiled all of my other foundations for me.

I do not like Red or Silver set with powder. They get more of a heavy look, and this will alter the finish. Silver has a unique way of bringing that subtle dew back after a few hours of wearing powder, which I have not seen with another foundation. It is not oil either. Pink looks amazing powdered or not! If you want it to be fully matte, go for the powder. Leave Red and Silver for cream makeup looks only.

With all of this being said, Red and Pink are definitely full glam foundations, maybe too much for daily wear, but great for a special occasion. Silver is more like your skin but better and is a better go-to for an everyday look.

There are a few more nitty gritty apects to this TirTir cushion foundation comparison. K-Beauty cushion foundations are notorious for having a poor shade range. The fact that these come in 20-40 is spectacular! I love that both Red and Silver have skin-loving ingredients that will give you benefits over time, namely boosted hydration and improved elasticity. I do wish that Pink would have that same super power.

All of these can be used as concealer as well for a 2-in-1 that saves you time and money. Other brands do not talk about “films” that lead to long wear. All of this is why TirTir stands out from the competition.
