I have the full wet n wild Disney Villains collection and I am doing reviews, swatches, star ratings, and four makeup looks with it. By the end you will know what you want to buy and what to pass on. As always, I am not saying go out and buy all of this stuff. I take one for the team to guide your purchase decisions.

Details

There was no official release date for this collection. As seems to be the norm, the products start appearing in stores well before the brand acknowledges their existence. They popped up in Walmart stores first, then on their website. At this point, Walmart is pretty well decimated in store.

In terms of where to buy, you can still find the products in stock on Walmart’s website. They are also available from wet n wild, Ulta, Amazon, and both online and in stores at Walgreens. For access to the full collection, Walmart is your place. The other retailers have a scattered offering.

This is technically a 50 piece collection where three items are nearly impossbile to obtain. I have those details at the end of the product review portion.

Most of the products have a sweet berry-like flavor!

PR Box

A PR box is available from Amazon, wet n wild, and Ulta. It does not contain the full collection, rather, a susbet at $85. The box looks like a book that opens to reveal the product. Here is what you get inside:

Extreme Evil Jelly Blush

First and foremost, a pro tip that applies to both the Jelly Blush and Highlighter. Always keep the inner lids and apply them tightly after each use, even if the packaging does not tell you to do so. This will prevent them from drying out!

It seems like many of the blushers coming out on the market are BAM pigment right away and hard to control, but not these. This formula is like applying a cream blush stick, not a jelly, and I like that! When you swipe it on you get lovely pigment that might look scary, but, it blends out beautifully and sheers out. You get total control over building the color to your desired intensity. They do not remove coverage underneath. You can blend them with a brush or a sponge.

They do not fully dry down as there is a hint of tackiness left. Many blushes fade to a degree but these truly hold up well all day! I tend to wear my makeup for an average of 12 hours and I definiely can still see it.

Claims: This jelly blush should have a weightless and bouncy formula that you can build as desired. It should glide on smoothly to give you bold, lasting color. You can apply it with any tools or your fingers. If you need a touch-up on the go it is also easy to re-apply.

Bad Rep Jelly Highlighter

This highlighter has a lot of glitter, but the pigment and effect is sheer and buildable. It definitely gives you a wet sheen and healthy glow. You do need to like the look of glitter. It does not fully dry down so there is some taciness. It lasts all day and does not remove coverage underneath. My preference is to blend with my fingers. I would not call it a cooling effect necessarily but it feels cool and wet to the touch.

Claims: This highlighter should be hyper-reflective with multidimensional sparkle plus a cooling effect. It should be weightless and bouncy. It makes touch-ups easy.

We Won’t Bite Cream Blush

These are another innovation for the brand! It is giving me Merit vibes. I like to apply these straight onto the skin but you can go in with a brush or a sponge. They do look intimidating in the pan, but the formula is very buildable and creamy. I usually end up wearing three layers to get the look that I like, but I have been liking that blush blindness look lately.

These also have a bit of tackiness so they do not fully dry down and the finish is natural. Sea Witch is the most beautiful, wearable purple! Much like the Jelly Blush they do not fade or remove coverage underneath, and the pigment is controllable.

Do not miss the fifth shade that they released in the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Forsaken Forest collection! It is a great add on to the four here.

Claims: This is a cream-to-powder formula that provides a soft, natural-looking matte finish. It should be creamy yet lightweight to easily melt into the skin and give you a seamless look.

Sinfully Sweet Finishing Mist

This is a setting mist that you need to shake well as it contains fine glitters and a metal ball. It effectively sets your look and melts it together. I have looked close at my skin and I really cannot see the fine glitters, but, it will be all over your shirt. If you do not want that, you will need to wear a robe or some sort of cover up.

The mister is fine and enjoyable. The finish is natural. Whatever finish your makeup already has it will be preserved. It does not extend or harm wear time.

Claims: This mist should set your makeup in place and enhance your complexion with subtle shimmer. A few spritzes is all that you need. The lightweight spray features niacinamide and glycerin.

Break Rules Dual-Ended Contour Stick

We have seen these contour sticks in the core line, but these are new shades. In the pictures below you can see that I compared the two limited edition sticks to the two from the core line and the shades are indeed different. It is the same great formula though! Their formula is very creamy and blends easily.

The shades are spot on for a matte highlight and a cool toned contour. These shades are not the most friendly for dark skin tones but do work for fair to medium. More Power, Please is best for fair skin, and Not Sorry is best for medium skin. The highlight in Not Sorry already broke for me and is no longer attached at the base.

Claims: This stick is versatile to sculpt and to highlight. The packaging is travel friendly. The formula should be velvety and creamy for a natural apperance.

Fiery Femmes Eye & Face Palette

I will start with Beautiful Destroyer. The purple shades are awesome! They are so pigmented and they last. Also, that green is amazing.

I was really surprised by shade two in Unleashed. I swatched it like normal and so much came off on my finger and made a mess.

Both of these palettes have good pigmentation. Nothing is patchy and everything is blendable and buildable. This is a good lineup from wet n wild in their customary eyeshadow formula. You get a mix of 16 mattes, metallics, satins, shimmers, and glitters in each palette. They are soft and smooth.

There is not fallout, but the metlallic shimmers are fallout city. They dust my nose. I recommend applying your eyeshadow before doing the rest of your face. The kickup comes from the matte shades. Otherwise, the experience between the shades is consistent.

The shade names are on the back. Below I have tables of the shade names. The * denotes not for use on the eye area.

*I somehow did not swatch the last shade in Unleashed. I will get a separate picture for you in a future update!

Claims: These palettes feature 16 super pigmented shades that should glide on smoothly and blend easily. You get mattes, shimmers, satins, sparkles, and self-adhering multi-dimensional glitters. Feel free to mix and match the two palettes.

Beautiful Destroyer

Baddies Liquid Eyeliner

As we have seen with their metallic glitter liquid eyeliners in the past, the pigment is a bit more sheer and does not build well. It really depends on the shade. It is really 50/50 on impactfullness.

Lovely Mess is a bit hard to see on the eye if you layer it over eyeshadow, but it is a pretty sparkly purple. Both Queen of Mean and Speed Demon are impactful like wearing a black eyeliner, except they are dark navy blue and red. The intensity is there. Ant-Social is more impactful than Lovely Mess, but not as bold as the navy.

However, the brush is easy to control and they last all day. You could even paint them over your eyelid for a glitter effect. In the past, when building, I encountered the formula ‘erasing’ itself but that did not happen with these.

Claims: These liquid eyeliners should have intense color with metallic shimmers. They should glide on smoothly for a precise line.

Bad Example Colored Mascara

I find that each mascara gives an inconsistent experience, but all of the formulas are on the dryer side. I was really hoping for bright, bold color like we got with the wet n wild x SpongeBob collection mascaras which are the same except for being waterproof. Let me break this down for you.

Black Hearted has the most wet formula, and I say that in a positive way because you want the pigment to coat the lashes. You can see the green with only a bit of your natural lash color peeking through.

All Sass ranks two because it gives partial color where you can see your natural lashes peeking through, but you see the color as you close your eyes. It is almost as wet as Black Hearted.

Road Rage is perfectly good and decently wet.

Jealous Type is very dry and you end up with the slightest touch of blue. It barely looks like you are wearing any mascara, not just in terms of color, but for getting any length of volume. Total dud.

Outside of that, the wet ones will give you some length and volume, but they do leave something to be desired. The wand does grab all of your lashes and separates them pretty well without clumping. It does hold a curl despite it not being labeled as waterproof! The formula is ready to go right away.

The color lasts all day without flaking and smuding. They wash off normally. The wand does pretty good on the lower lashes and it is flexible silicone.

Claims: These mascaras should coat your lashes in bold color for impact and drama. They gently dissolve with warm water.

Power Hungry Brow Blade

This formula has the right amount malleability so that it is not too waxy and stiff, but not too creamy that you have no control. The shape of the blade, which is new and innovative for the brand, makes it easy to get hair-like strokes. The pigment is light enough to also mimick brow hairs. I like that the packaging slides up, similar to a box cutter, and a spoolie is included. We need more shades!

Claims: The uniquely shaped tip should give you sharp and controlled application for defined brows. The blade creates hair-like strokes and clean lines. This is good for soft and bold looks.

Pick Your Vice Plumping Lip Gloss

I was really pumped to see the lip oil packaging plus the charms, but disappointed to see that these are glosses! Plumpers are fairly new for the brand. These lip glosses look cool in the tube, but they are more sheer in application. You do need to love a glitter lip to love these. Per wet n wild’s typical formula, they are not heavy or sticky and you can re-apply them as desired without your lips getting gunked up. The plumping works! They are not painful, but the sensation is present. It feels warming and zesty on the lips like cinnamon. The feeling lasts for about 30 minutes and is gone after 45. Feel free to wear these alone or paired with your favorite lip products.

Claims: Each lip gloss has mirror like shine that is not sticky or greasy. The tingly sensation should leave your lips feeling plump yet conditioned.

Devious Dual-Ended Lip Mask and Scrub

We have seen this format of lip scrub way back in the Sesame Street collection. The exfoliator comes smooth and you have to break through the surface to actually reach the exfoliant. I acheive this by literally exfoliating the exfoliant! No joke, I scrub the top with a Dollar Tree lip exfoliator tool to get it going. After that it does a perfect job of exfoliating your lips while being safe and gentle.

The lip balm is clear and does not even have shine so there is nothing to swatch. I really layer that bad boy up to feel it on my lips. I think it is ok. You should already know my obsession with their lip oils and their last two limited edition potted lip masks. Nothing beats them and I did not expect this product to.

Claims: The exfoliator should be gentle while the lip mask gives you softer lips. Great for travel.

2-in-1 Makeup Sponge

We last saw this sponge in the wet n wild Pampered collection years ago. I am surprised that they brought it back given that silicone blenders are totally cancelled. The silicone is best used to distribute the product around your face, then the sponge for blending. When I am trying to use the back side of the sponge at the tip for detailed blending, the silicone makes it stiffer and harder to flex.

As for the sponge this is their typical formula that I love! It really is hydrophillic to asborb as little product as possible. The sponge expands when wet to become soft and bouncy. It also cleans easily. So, the silicone part is completely an unncessary complication. Let’s stick to ordinary sponges.

Claims: This sponge has a silicone side for a streak-free finish, plus a soft side for seamless blending. It can be used anywhere, from wide areas to detailed spots.

Individual Face Gems

You already know that I buy the adhesives to show you to be complete in covering the collection, but, I keep them as collectibles. I am not a theatrical makeup person. I think the colors are spot on and great for those that want to play.

Claims: These charms bring instant sparkle to your look. They are peel and stick but can be reused when adhered with lash or cosmetic glue.

Gem Face Mask

Same thoughts for the Gem Face Masks as those on the individual gems. They are awesome for a themed look and especially for costuming. Over all these years I have been wanting someone to comment letting me know how the masks and gems adhere and last over top of a full face of makeup. Someone come through!

Makeup Bag

First and foremost I want to say that releasing five makeup bags at nearly $20 a piece is a total money grab and unncessary. My soul was crying buying these. Please do not buy all of them. I only do that to give you a complete review. Pick the one or two that you love the most. They are all made with your typical plastic materials that are easy to clean. The fabric insides have different designs and sayings related to the characters. Every bag feels sturdy. I always test if the bags can fit the full collection, and both styles definitely do.

Claims: This bag is perfectly sized for on the go. It is constructed with sturdy stitching and high-quality materials.

Vanity Mirror

In the past their mirrors felt more like display pieces than something functional. This one is made to stand up open on your vanity and I love that! It looks great and is functional.

Claims: This mirror can lay flat or be upright/angled on any surface. It is travel friendly.

This is another functional mirror! The handle makes it easy to hold when doing detailed makeup. Another good staple for your vanity.

Be Wicked Color Changing Lip Balm

On Walmart’s website we are able to see three color changing lip balms. I have had the pleasure of visiting four stores, plus being sent photos of several others. In all cases the spot on the display that was supposed to contain the lip balms is empty with no shelf label. They are on the website but if you ordered them it got cancelled. Now they say out of stock.

So far they have appeared on the Walgreens in-store displays. They are offering Dark Curses and Electrifying. The problem is that the displays can only hold two to three balms, ahd the availability across Walgreens stores is bleak. Not Impressed is only in the PR box.

wet n wild did not show them in any of their Reels and promos for this collection. If I can find them I will share them with you.

Claims: This lip balm has cat-eye pearls to leave a lasting impression. The formula reacts to your pH level for a custom shade. The formula should glide on smoothly to leave behind a sheer tint.

For this collection I have created four full face of wet n wild makeup looks, even using only their tools. I based them on each villain and their associated set of products. I tested everything with both brushes and sponges. They are very much so fall looks! I also love how real they are. My laundry basket and bag of more makeup to test right behind me. This is life!

Look #1: Ursula

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Voice Theft to the inner half of the eyelid and crease. Next, apply Thorns to the outer half of the eyelid and the crease. Then, apply Curse on the outer corner of the eyelid and sweep it into the crease to add depth. Be sure to blend the edges carefully. Now, apply Sea Witch all over the eyelid with your finger. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with the Bad Rep Jelly Highlighter in Infamous and the Baddies Liquid Eyeliner in Lovely Mess.

Look #2: Evil Queen

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Cruelty high in the crease. Next, to deepen the crease, apply Cloak lower in the crease and along the inner half of the eyelid. Now, apply Cauldron to the outer-v to add depth. Then, apply Disguise on the outer corner to deepen Cauldron even more. Take Obesession with your finger and apply it on the inner half of the eyelid. It is time to work on the lower lash line. Start with Cloak on the inner half, then Cauldron on the outer half. Then apply Disguise to the outer corner, connecting it up to the upper lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the inner corner and brow bone with Fur and the Baddies Liquid Eyeliner in Queen of Mean.

Look #3: Maleficient

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Sorcery to the inner half of the eyelid and crease. Next, apply Tentacles to the outer half of the eyelid and crease. Then, apply Flotsam to the outer corner and bring it up into the crease to add definition. Now, using your finger, pat Deep Sea on the center of the eyelid. Finish the look by highlighting the inner corner and brow bone with the Bad Rep Jelly Highlighter in Cast Spell and the Baddies Liquid Eyeliner in Anti-Social. I did a typical wing, then an extra line under the wing, as well as a partial line above the inner half of the crease.

Look #4: Cruella

To recreate the eye look, start by applying fairest in the crease. Then, apply Apple just above Fairest. Next, above Apple, apply Runway but only from the inner part of the eyelid halfway across. Use concealer to cover the eyelid for a cut crease effect. Highlight the brow bone and inner corner with Fur, and even just a touch on the eyelid. Finish the look with Baddies Liquid Eyeliner in Speed Demon to make a bold wing and a graphic line.
