This November 2021 empties review features 18 products. I admit that the number could have been higher, but I got distracted away from my normal routine twice during the month. Once for moving into a new house, and again to test a new skincare product for a review. Ultimately, I am pleased to pull out 18 items considering all of the distractions. As usual, skincare is coming in heavy, and we have a few makeup and body care items. I am providing my full review and will state if I will buy again.

November 2021 Empties Review

I am starting this November 2021 empties review with 12 skincare items.

Skincare

  • Freeman Hydrating Glacier Water + Pink Peony Gel Cream Mask: I have reviewed this mask many times, and I prefer to use it as a normal mask instead of overnight. As far as I can tell, it does hydrate the skin. It is nothing special to go out and repurchase, but it always comes in sets.
  • Freeman Hydrating Cactus + Cloudberry Water Gel Mask: This is a mask that you leave on overnight or for 10 minutes. If you are going for overnight, it is best to apply this mask in small amounts so that it absorbs into the skin without mess, but it does leave a bit of a tacky feel. By morning my face is more oily than usual, but it is a bit moisturizing. It does irritate my eyes somewhat, and overall I do not notice enough benefits to repurchase. I prefer to use it as a standard mask.
  • Freeman Polishing Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask + Scrub: I have used this mask plenty of times, so I am highly familiar. The black gel is tricky to evenly distribute over the face due to the sugar crystals, but I try my best. As you wash it off you get a gentle, yet effective scrub. I am more of a clay mask girl by preference, but this is not bad if you like a scrub. I never plan to buy again.
  • elf Loving Facial Oil Mist: I have used this mist up as a skincare product before applying moisturizer. On its own, I really do not think I am getting any skincare or mood benefits. While I have no reason to repurchase, I do have a review of the entire Facial Oil Mist collection for you to explore.
  •  Bliss Jelly Glow Peel Daily Exfoliator: It claims to uniquely exfoliate with soft fibers that capture and roll away dirt and flaky skin. It should leave behind skin that is smooth, soft, and fresh. I can confirm it does ball up and leaves the skin squeaky to the touch clean. Honestly, I find this product to be highly effective and better for the skin than the products that I currently use. I will consider repurchasing it once I finish my current products.
  • elf Hello Hydration Face Cream: This is a cream-based moisturizer that effectively hydrates all day. You can use it in the morning and at night, and it layers well with other skincare, and with makeup. Cream formulas never fully control oil on my combination skin, otherwise it is just fine. I will not repurchase as it is not the best for my skin type.
  • Freeman Rejuvenating Cucumber + Pink Salt Clay Mask: This mask does provide a light exfoliation, but I never see much happening to my skin. While I never purchase it directly, it does come up in gift sets.
  • Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes Singles: These are my favorite makeup remover wipes for several reasons! First, they are decently wet. Second, they are thick enough that you cannot easily tear them. Third, they remove makeup well without pushing product around. Finally, they do not irritate my eyes. I like the singles for travel purposes and I will always repurchase.
  • Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinoid Serum: This product noticeably helps to reduce my acne, and I have been using it every other night in my routine for a long time. I will always repurchase this, and samples are welcome!
  • Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser: I use this face wash in the shower, and it does effectively cleanse the skin and remove any makeup residue. This is a white cream that runs out of the tube quickly, so use caution when opening this product. At the end of the day, a face wash is what it is. While I have no plans to buy it again, it does come in my favorite All About Acne Kit.
  • Freeman Deep Clearing Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask and Cleanser: This mask is helpful for my acne and blemishes. I will probably buy it again at some point, even if it is just a packet in a gift set.
  • Freeman Detoxifying Charcoal + Black Sugar Mud Mask: This is probably my favorite charcoal mud mask. I find this type of mask is helpful to keep blemishes at bay. I will definitely buy the full-size tube at some point, but I have several smaller tubes still on hand.

Makeup

Second in this November 2021 empties review is four makeup items.

  • wet n wild photofocus Foundation in Nude Ivory: You have seen me review this foundation so many times, as it is one of my favorites, even for special occasions. I got this sample free with purchase, so naturally I want to use it up. This is the original matte version, and I always recommend applying it in sections, as it dries quickly. This foundation can look heavy if you go overboard, so aim for light layers until you learn how much you need for your skin. It holds up very well all day and maintains its matte finish. I will always repurchase and recommend this foundation.
  • Dior Addict Sampler: This sampler contains Dior Addict Stellar Shine in Pink Meteor, Dior Addict Stellar Halo Shine in Pink Star, and Dior Addict Stellar Gloss in Mirrored. Each of the shades have sheer to medium coverage that compliment the natural color of your own lips. Everything is lightweight and not sticky. These lippies wear off easily with eating and drinking. I would not personally purchase any of these because I prefer a long-lasting lip, but these are nice in their own way.
  • Joyce Bonelli Cosmetiques Makeup Setting Spray with SPF 15 in Come Thru Flawless: It does provide a luminous glow to the skin. It does successfully set your makeup, but it will not extend wear time. Your makeup will wear the same as it always does. This product is nothing impressive over any other setting spray. I will not repurchase.
  • Marc Jacobs Perfecting Coconut Face Primer: This primer makes my face super oily and shiny during the day. My mom literally asked me why my face was so shiny one day! I cannot recommend this for combination skin. When I use plenty of mattifying products it is easier to get the shine under control, but I do not like this primer. The only good thing that I can say is that it is moisturizing. I will not buy again.

Bodycare

I am ending this November 2021 empties review with two body care items.

  • Soap & Glory Clean On Me: I am no stranger to Clean On Me. It is absolutely a creamy body wash that is moisturizing on the skin and gets the job done. The Original Pink scent is one that will grow on you, but be mindful that it is strong for those sensitive to fragrance. It has some lasting power. At this time I have no plans to repurchase, but I seem to get a bottle every year in a gift set, and I love it.
  • Listerine Ready Tabs in Clean Mint: I like these for travel, or for times when mouthwash is not available. These are even good to quickly freshen your breath. It took me so long to use this packet up since the Walmart Summer 2021 box because I personally do not enjoy the strong mint flavor and feel. I have no plans to buy again.

Conclusion

To summarize my November 2021 empties review, this could have been a bigger month, but I did what I can. Many of the skincare items are products that I enjoy over and over again! Looking forward to December I expect to hit a lot of one-time-use sheet masks, which will drive the number of empties up. However, I got so many face washes and masks from Christmas 2020 and also at the start of 2021 that I am going to be defeated in using them all before the end of the year! Wow! Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

How are your empties skincare goals looking in this final quarter of the year?
