After a fabulous January, you might be disappointed to hear that I have 19 empties in this February 2021 empties review. Everything seemed to go at once in January, so I am left working on new items. Also, I have a few items that are ALMOST empty, such as one makeup wipe left in the package. We know that will be the first empty of March! As promised, the Pantene shampoo is the first empty in this post. Facial masks are slowing down because I am working on tube masks that take longer to use up. As I always do, I have full reviews of everything, and I mention if I will repurchase.

Haircare

I am starting the February 2021 empties review off with four haircare products.

  • Pantene Pro V Blends Micellar Shampoo: The conditioner was my last empty of January 2021, and the shampoo, as promised, is my first empty of February 2021. This shampoo does its job. When paired with the conditioner, the duo does not weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. In fact, they do not even leave build-up on the hair. They appear to be discontinued.
  • Head and Shoulders Supreme Nourishing Scalp & Hair Mask: This conditioning mask is designed to be used on your entire head, from roots to ends. I have suffered from a dry scalp and dandruff for as long as I can remember, and this product is effective. Dandruff products normally work well for me. However, my hair does not feel like I used a conditioner mask or a deep conditioner treatment. It makes my hair feel like a normal conditioner was used. This is not special enough to buy again. Every once in a while I do a wash with generic dandruff shampoo when I start to suffer an itchy scalp, and that takes care of it for a while.
  • Dessange Paris Purifying Clay Balancing System Pre-Shampoo Mask: Much like a clay mask for the face, this is one that you apply to your roots before showering. It comes with a brush and you paint it on like hair dye. I roughly section my hair to do this, then I rinse it out before applying shampoo. This product adds extra time to my routine, but I see no changes with my hair. I wash every other day and it is just as greasy. This Dollar Tree find is not worth the time, so I will not repurchase.
  • Playa Every Day Shampoo and Conditioner: I am counting this duo as one empty because they came together. What can I say, they shampoo and condition my hair. There is not much to review with single-use hair care. I need a bigger sample to determine the long-term effects. There is no reason to buy the full-size.

Skincare

Next in this February 2021 empties review is nine skincare products.

  • Soap and Glory Puffy Eye Attack Under-Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches (3): These hydrogel under eye patches do a great job of brightening and hydrating! Luckily, I really do not suffer from puffiness, so I cannot speak to that. I have no actual plans to repurchase.
  • elf Active Workout Ready Hydration Stick: This stick feels cool on the skin and almost wet. It absorbs easily for a boost of hydration. I apply it before my moisturizer as a serum in place of the Olay serum sticks that I used up a while ago. But, I would not use it in place of moisturizer. This product performs as it should, but I have no real reason to repurchase currently.
  • elf Keep Your Balance Toner: This toner has a hydrating and soothing formula that is easy to work into the skin. Sometimes toners leave my skin feeling extra smooth, but this one does not leave behind any feeling. This toner is pretty basic beyond the benefits described. I have no reason to repurchase.
  • Embrace Your Face Hydrating Rose Glitter Peel-off Mask: This mask is from a Christmas gift set and cannot be repurchased on its own. The metallic mask is fun, but it hurts to remove, and does absolutely nothing for the skin. My skin does not feel hydrated in any way.
  • Embrace Your Face Firming 24k Gold Glitter Peel-Off Mask: Just like the above mask, this hurts to remove and does not do anything for my skin besides the metallic gold being fun.
  • Freeman Hydrating Vanilla Latte Sheet Mask: This mask fits on the skin very well, and the mild vanilla scent is pleasant. It does effectively hydrate the skin. This was a special Christmas stocking stuffer mask, so it cannot be repurchased.
  • No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream: I have used this product several times and I always enjoy how it easily absorbs into the skin and makes my skin feel soft. Otherwise, I do not see this product doing anything, not even anti-aging. I never have a reason to repurchase, but it does pop up in Christmas gift sets.
  • Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser: I use this face wash in the shower, and it does effectively cleanse the skin and remove any makeup residue. This is a white cream that runs out of the tube quickly, so use caution when opening this product. At the end of the day, a face wash is what it is. I have never tried one that does not work. If you are looking for a high-end face wash option, this one is just fine. I have one more tube to use, and I can see myself buying more in the future through the All About Acne Kit.

Body Care

There are four pieces of body care trash in my February 2021 empties review.

  • Vital Proteins Lavender Lemon Beauty Collagen: These packets are from my Walmart Beauty Boxes. Since this product does not state what temperature your water should be, I mixed it into the water that dispenses from the refrigerator. I had to stir this for much longer than normal, and some chunks congealed and got stuck on the spoon, so I got rid of them. The flavor is mild, but I still do not care for it. It does not have a chalky texture, but somehow tastes chalky, with some grit right at the end. I believe you would have to use this product regularly to see results. Since I have two packets, I am going for once a week use.
  • Vital Proteins Strawberry Lemon Beauty Collagen: I accidentally threw this packet away, so I am sorry that I do not have it for the photos. This time I mixed it into warm water from the sink, and it fully dissolved faster without grit at the bottom. I let it cool, then added plenty of ice cubes, as strawberry lemon is best enjoyed cold (at least to me). Otherwise, my review is the same when it comes to mild flavor that I do not care for, and a chalky taste, but not texture. I do not see any effects, nor do I feel compelled to buy the full-size canister.
  • Soap & Glory Call of Fruity Summer Scrubbin’ Cooling Body Scrub: This body scrub has the right amount of grit to be effective, yet gentle for regular exfoliation. It is thick enough enough that you can work with it. I love how it mildly foams up, so you are getting a cleanse and a scrub. The summer inspired scent is also nice. I have no plans to repurchase as I have a lot of scrubs to work through, but I do approve.
  • Global Beauty Care Exfoliating Foot Mask: I have heard people say these foot masks actually makes their dead skin peel off, and the package said that would happen in four to seven days. Well, nothing happened to my feet at all when I used the green package that I reviewed in December. This green package though is totally making my feet peel! The mask packaging is great. The wet part is contained in a plastic sock that you put your feet into. I then put my actual socks on over the masks, to help keep the plastic closed. These are completely mess free, and my socks never got wet. I would buy this one again, especially for prepping the feet for sandal season.

Fragrance

I have one fragrance empty.

  • Physicians Formula Rose All Day Eau de Parfum: This perfume is only sold in the Rose All Day x Exeriorglam Collection and cannot be purchased separately. I am horrible at describing scents, but it is, of course, a floral rose fragrance that is simply delicious. This is not some expensive perfume, so the lasting power is not that great, as to be expected. But, I would totally repurchase it if I could. You will notice there is liquid in the bottle as I refilled it from a rollerball fragrance that I am trying to empty.

Conclusion

We are at the end of this February 2021 empties review. I wish that February would have produced one empty for each day of the month, but I know this year is going to be quite a challenge. I continue to work diligently each day to ensure that I have a successful year, and I am confident that March is going to be excellent. As far as February goes, these products are mainly middle of the road, with not even a handful of stand outs. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

    1. I’m so glad I finally made it through all my various hydration sticks haha! But, they are good for an added boost when paired with moisturizer!
