In celebration of wet n wild’s 40th anniversary, they are releasing a limited edition eyeshadow palette. The wet n wild The 40 Palette features, you guessed it, 40 eyeshadow shades in three different types of finishes- matte, shimmer, and satin. For the drugstore, this is the first large eyeshadow palette that I can think of. This palette is only available on wet n wild’s website and Amazon. I am swatching the entire palette row-by-row. You will notice that the design on the box and the palette itself is the same. The main difference is that the box contains a picture of the eyeshadows on the back, while the palette just has the design on the back. There are no shade names for the eyeshadows.

The wet n wild The 40 Palette features a rainbow color story, which you can use to create any look imaginable. With this shade range you can do:
- A smokey eye
- A nude eye
- A rainbow look
- A cool-tone look
- A warm-tone look
The quality and pigmentation of wet n wild’s eyeshadows is always awesome for the drugstore. But, I must say that this palette is the best quality that wet n wild has ever released. These shades are so soft and extremely pigmented, with consistent quality shade to shade! Before writing this post I admit to using this palette, and I nearly made a mess with the blue shades in row five because I went in with my brush treating these like standard wet n wild eyeshadows. You should treat these like high-end, as a little goes a long way! These shadows truly pick up better on a brush than your finger. You can wet your brush with the shimmers and they will pack a bigger punch.
In summary of the wet n wild The 40 Palette, I highly recommend this palette! This is the most pigmented and best quality palette to date by wet n wild, and its drugstore price tag cannot be beat.
