I can confidently tell you that I have tried everything from wet n wild, which is not a statement that I can make about any other brand! You cannot beat their prices when it comes to what you get. Honestly, this brand can do little wrong. I have put together a list of the best wet n wild products of all time. My focus is on items from their permanent line. Although, a lot of my all-time-favorites are actually limited edition items.
High On Lash Eyelash Curler
When it comes to discussing tools, I do want to say that I love all of their brushes! That would make this review a mile long, so I am focusing smaller. This is the eyelash curler that I use daily because it does an exceptional job of grabbing each lash with total comfort. It has replaced all of my other curlers!
megaclear Lash & Brow Mascara
I keep two of them – the cloudy one is what I layer with colored makeup, and the other I use for clear application only. The versatility of this product is great, as I adore it for the brows. It can hold your brows in place all day without a crunchy look or feel. I usually reach for these on light makeup days or for no-makeup makeup looks.
megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick
As far as matte liquid lipstick goes, these are top notch! They hold up super well during the day, and only a minor touch-up may be needed for extended wear. I trust this formula for special occasions. I graduated college in Rebel Rose, and my best friend got married in that shade. It layers well for re-application, and you get full coverage in one swipe. It does not get crumbly on the lips, but it might feel a tad bit drying.
Fast Dry AF Nail Color
Their top coat is hits all of my criteria for the best top coat, and it is a solid replacement for their discontinued Hard As Ice top coat. It dries fast enough that I can do my nails before bed without getting creases from the sheets, it provides an amazing shine, the formula can correct imperfections in your nail color, and it does extend wear time. For more, see my wet n wild Fast Dry AF Nail Color review.
perfectpout Gel Lip Liner
This gel formula glides on like a dream with no skipping or tugging! With a twist-up package you do not have to worry about a sharpener. The matte formula lasts well and packs on bright, full-coverage pigment. I reach for these the most out of my entire collection, and it is such a shame that they discontinued most of the colors.
Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse
The key with these is to apply a light layer for the best results! This product smells like marshmallows and is lightweight. You can build it up to a low-medium coverage easily, but it is not full coverage. A lip liner can help you get a defined line, if you so desire. The formula is so unique in that you can clearly see it is matte right off the bat, but it also has a bit of a glossy shine. As time goes on, whether you eat or drink, or do not, that slight shine goes away to be fully matte, and the product will gracefully fade until it looks more like a stain on the lips. With that being said, it does not dry fully down, so it will transfer, but it is also comfortable.
megaglo Contouring Palette
This is such a classic! The colors are not cool enough to really scream ‘contour palette,’ but people fell in love with this because the powder formula is silky smooth and blendable. The yellow shade makes a great banana setting powder, plus the contour shade can double as a bronzer. You get so much product here for little money!
Take Your Vitamins Super Nutrient Face Mist
I really do not feel that wet n wild makes any non-limited edition setting sprays that extend makeup wear time, but they all do a great job of setting your look and I keep them around. I reach for this one the most because it gives a healthy glow to the skin, which is especially great for light makeup days! I also like the amazing ingredients and how this doubles as skincare.
photofocus Translucent Loose Setting Powder
This is one of the best loose setting powders that I own! The formula is so finely milled that it looks soft and blurring on the skin. Plus, it bakes like a dream. You know I have this on backup!
primefocus Primer Serums
Below is a picture of every single primer serum that wet n wild has released at the time of this writing! Much like their setting sprays, I really do not think any of their primers extend wear time. But, they make an amazing base. What I adore about these is how the serum sinks into the skin and leaves you feeling so hydrated and fresh looking. No matter your skin type, these can work for you and make an amazing base for application. When I am looking to do no-fuss makeup, I always grab one of these. They layer so well with any makeup or skincare, and everything looks great over top.
megaglo Highlighting Powder
These are the highlighters that broke the internet. Back in the day, wet n wild released two shades in a limited edition collection. Customers blew up their Instagram comments daily that they wanted the highlighters back. So, they released them again in another limited edition collection, and the demand was so big that their website went down. Needless to say, wet n wild listened to us just like McDonalds all day breakfast. Give the people what they want!
Over the years I have collected all of the shades to provide a megaglo Highlighting Powders review, but this formula is amazing. You get a buildable glow that goes all the way up to beaming, but without a glitter look. These are super metallic and even wet looking. They broke the internet for a good reason.
Fantasy Makers Glitter Gel
I know these are a limited time thing when they come around, but I love them with a passion. Besides the fact that they are like body glitter for adults, you can use them anywhere for all-day, long-lasting wear. They are easy to apply, fully dry down, and always pack a punch. Once dry, the glitter is not going anywhere! My favorite uses are to accent the eyes for a graphic look, and to apply on the cheekbones.
photofocus Stick Foundation
wet n wild kills it with foundation, and this stick does not get enough hype. I have tried my fair share of stick foundations in the past, and they are always awful. This one is everything the others are not. It blends out well with a brush or a sponge to look like normal foundation. The formula is completely buildable to a high medium coverage, while it is not heavy on the skin. It has a satin finish. The only thing is that it is not as long wearing as their liquids, but there are days when this is a great option.
photofocus Dewy Foundation
This has a lightweight formula that can be built from medium to nearly full coverage, but it never looks heavy, and you do not need to work in sections like you do with the matte version. The amount of dew is gentle, and will mostly go away if you powder your entire face like me. It looks beautiful on the skin, and really skin-like.
By the end of the day it holds up fabulously, and it does not make me look greasy! As the dew and your natural oils come back, it makes your skin look fresh and healthy. I consider this to be the ‘perfected’ version of its matte sister, correcting all of the ‘problems’ with the matte formulation. If they discontinued the matte one, I would not be all that mad. This also looks great mixed with the matte version! I wear this for special occasion makeup looks.
photofocus Foundation (matte)
I love this foundation so much because it looks great on the skin and wears beautifully all day as another special occasion choice. The only issue with it is the need for balance. It is very easy to apply too much of it, which causes it to look heavy on the skin. To this day I struggle with applying just the right amount. I should throw in here how quickly it dries, meaning you need to apply the foundation in sections. Some people cannot get over the paint-like smell, but it does not bother me.
photofocus Concealer
For a basic drugstore creamy concealer, you need this! It looks fresh on the skin with a normal finish, and you can build it up to your desired level of coverage. I can reach for this any time that I need a trusted, no-fuss concealer that works with everything.
megalast Incognito All Day Full Coverage Concealer
In all honesty, I could never see much difference between this and the photofocus version. My review here is the same, and I reach for both interchageably.
coloricon Bronzers
For basic drugstore bronzers that come in matte and shimmer versions, wet n wild has it all here in four options. The pans are so huge for the price! You can easily apply these to your body. They are not muddy or orange, and blend well. Ticket To Brazil is a drugstore classic and one of my favorite bronzer shades.
coloricon Blush in Mellow Wine
wet n wild blush used to be the bomb dot com, but after their repackage and reformulation into these round black pans, they changed for the worst. I have a hard time getting the shades to show up on the skin. Mellow Wine is the best blush that they offer in the permanent line because it shows up on the skin with soft, buildable color. All skin tones can really rock this one. It has a matte finish.
coloricon Eyeshadow Single in Brulee
This eyeshadow is best used as a neutral base to set your eyelid primer and to prepare for eyeshadow application. You would be surprised how many palettes do not contain a base shade like Brulee, so it makes the perfect companion. It is sheer enough for anyone to use, while also giving you a base that is buttery soft and ready to have your colors pop.
coloricon 5-Pan Palettes
wet n wild makes some of the best eyeshadow at the drugstore. It is so good that you might think you are using high-end! You can always trust these. They deliver pigmentation that builds quickly and is easy to blend. Everything is buttery soft, smooth, and not powdery or chalky.
coloricon 10-Pan Palettes
My review for these is the same as the 5-pans – you can always trust these. P.S. sometimes wet n wild knocks off famous palettes with these and they honestly rival-high end so well that you cannot tell the difference on the eye.
megalast Breakup-Proof Retractable Eyeliners
These glide on smoothly without tugging or skipping. I can apply these to the waterline without my eyes getting irritated, and they hold up really well! I never touch these up during the day.
Brow-Sessive Brow Pencil
Now, I love ALL wet n wild eyebrow products. In order to keep my list tame as possible, I am choosing this pencil because I reach for it the most. The reason is that it is a basic drugstore pencil to sharpen with a spoolie on the end. It glides softly and quickly into the brows, while the tip is a good size to get the job done fast, but with precision. I do urge you to check out all of their brow offerings.
Brow-Sessive Brow Shaping Gel
They discontinued their other tinted gel, but this one works just fine. The spoolie is a great size to get the job done. Your brows will be held in place all day without crunch, and the tint adds some depth.
Makeup Sponge
Their sponge formula is one of the best! It expands when wet and is super bouncy and soft. They absorb little makeup, and are as easy to clean as most other sponges. I love the blend that these provide.
photofocus Eyeshadow Primer
I have always said that this stuff is a dupe for Urban Decay’s Primer Potion, and I stand by that! This primer will lock your eyeshadow in place all day for zero creasing or fading. This is the real deal.
barefocus Tinted Hydrator
This is another foundation that I have been using for a lot of special occasion/bullet-proof makeup looks. It is lightweight like a BB or a CC cream. However, you can build the coverage up to high-medium. It looks incredibly fresh and skin-like. This is a statement I really have not ever been able to make, but it actually looks even more beautiful when set with powder! This foundation holds up well all day for long-lasting wear.

One Response
I love this! I have some questions! Does the primer come out in a solid colour or is it just clear? The L.A. Girl stick was my fav but no one seems to have it in stores anymore and I’m not going to pay $6 shipping for a $3 items, ha. Also, did Wet n Wild discontinue the eyebrow highlighter stick? I think it was called High Brow or Push up, and it was a creamy fair pink. I just loved it.
