It is not every day that you casually stroll into the drugstore and stumble upon a large format eyeshadow palette that will run you upwards of $20. You will definitely want to read this wet n wild Wild Heart Artistry Palette review before you spend your money. I have swatches of all 32 shades, three looks, plus the most details that you will find anywhere.
Details & Claims
I am starting with where to buy the palette. It is available from wet n wild, Ulta, Walgreens, and Walmart. Depending on the retailer that you select, you will either pay $14.99 or $19.99.

It claims to feature soft neutral mattes and bold shimmers. All of the pigments should be vibrant and highly blendable. You can apply them wet or dry. Additionally, the pigments should be long-wearing and smudge-resistant all day.
The shades do not have names, rather, they are numbered one through 32 in a chart on the back of the palette. No shade descriptions are provided from the brand.
All wet n wild products are cruelty-free. This palette is packaged in a sturdy plastic case with a clear lid and no mirror. It is rather large in a way that could be difficult to store or to travel with.
Please note that shades 28 and 29 are not intended for use in the eye area. They are actually labeled as “face pigments.”
Swatches & Shades
I have several notes on these shades. Many shades do not swatch particularly well. I have to continuously dig my finger into them several times, and they feel chalky both to the touch and when a brush is used. This includes shades nine, 10, 14, 19, 20, 22, and 28. Ultimately, it comes down to how they work on the eye.
Shade 31 looks gray in the pan, but it swatches more like a lavender.
Otherwise, the rest of the shades feel velvety smooth and they swatch well. These notes do indicate that the formulation across the palette is rather inconsistent. Below are all of the swatches.
Review
Despite the so-so notes I am providing on the swatches, I am pleased to say that the shades apply well to the eye! The application process and pigmentation is what you expect from the wet n wild brand that is well known for their eyeshadow. Some shades more so than others need to be built up and worked with, but it is nothing bad at all.
There is little to no kick up with the palette. I see nothing out of the ordinary. Also, nothing applies patchy or chalky. I do not have issues with fading or movement, but I always properly prime and set the eye before applying any eyeshadow. You can use these pigments wet or dry.
When I think about the color story of this palette, I cannot help but think it is not very unique for those that own several palettes. Heck, I do not think these shades are that unique from other wet n wild palettes! If these colors appeal to you, then go for it.
Eye Looks
I am ending with three eyeshadow looks. The goal of each look is to do something completely different color-wise to showcase the versatility of the color story while also inspiring you. You can clearly see with these looks that the pigmentation is easily built to be stunning. All shades are applied dry.
Look #1
To recreate this eye look, start by setting the eyelid with shade two. Next, apply shade 14 to the crease, and bring it down about halfway below the eye. Then, apply shade 15 to the eyelid. Shade 15 is also applied along the lower lash line. Now, apply shade 22 to the outer-v, and connect it down to the lower lash line. Since shade 22 does not pack enough punch on the outer-v, you can feel free to deepen it up with a touch of shade 16, which can also be lightly used to connect down to the lower lash line. Finish this look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with a blend of shades nine and 20.
Look #2
To recreate this eye look, start by setting the eyelid with shade one. Next, apply shade 23 to the crease, and bring it down about halfway below the eye. Then, apply shade 26 onto the outer and inner corner of the eyelid, leaving a blank space in the center to create a halo eye. I like to connect that same shade across the crease, kind of like making a bridge, but you still have that blank space. Now, tap your brush ever so gently into shade 32 and use that black pigment to slightly darken the outer-v and the inner corner. Next, apply shade 26 to the lower lash line, and just a hint of shade 32 close to the lower lash line to connect it to the outer-v. For the halo effect, apply shade 18 to the center of the eyelid. Finish this look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with shade 12.
Look #3
To recreate this eye look, start by setting the eyelid with shade two. Next, apply shade eight to the crease, and bring it down about halfway below the eye. Then, apply shade 23 to the entire eyelid, and blend it into the crease, as well as outward toward the outer-v. Now, apply shade 24 onto the eyelid, from the lash line to about halfway up. This shade should also be blended toward the outer-v. Then, apply shade 15 along the lower lash line. Use shade 24 to connect the outer-v to the lower lash line by staying close to the lashes. Next, use shade 32 as eyeliner, winging out, if desired. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with shade 10.
Shop The Palette
While there are some inconsistencies with the formula, the eyeshadows are workable on the eye. For the most part, wet n wild’s classic eyeshadow formulation is present, but it does leave a bit on the table. They can totally amp this palette up if they want to. Additionally, the color scheme is nothing new or exciting, especially if you have a large collection. This palette is a solid four out of five stars in my book. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
