So far in 2017 e.l.f. cosmetics is not having many sales. I always do hauls from their sales because of the amazing prices. This e.l.f. haul 9 is actually pretty old now, dating back closer to Christmas. However, I think it is still relevant to share my reviews, swatches, and first impressions, because you may be interested in these products. While not all of them are still available, some are. Besides that, looking at and talking about makeup is fun! In this haul I am able to to try some products I have been waiting a long time to get, as well as being able to get more shades of products I enjoy. I hope you will stick around for the reviews and swatches!
e.l.f. Exfoliating Scrub
The first item in my e.l.f. haul 9 I am getting by by redeeming some Beauty Squad points. It is a rather thick exfoliating scrub for the face. It says you should only use it about twice a week.
e.l.f. Illuminating Eye Cream
The Illuminating Eye Cream is a surprise sample! I am all for free samples. I do not use any eye cream, so what the heck, I will give this a try.
e.l.f. Mineral Booster in Corrective Yellow
I have to be honest and say I have no idea what e.l.f. expects you to use this Mineral Booster for. The name “Corrective Yellow” leads me to believe it is for color correcting, yet it is a loose powder. Maybe it can be used under the eye area as a “banana” powder. The powder seems a little bit chalky, but not terrible. If you have a good idea for how to use this product, tell me in the comments.
e.l.f. Eyebrow Treat & Tame in Clear/Dark
I already have Eyebrow Treat and Tame in a darker shade. If you take a good look at the product, you will notice something weird- there is shimmer in it! Why on earth does an eyebrow mascara need shimmer? I hope it does not really show up in your brows. Besides that, I like this product. It almost appears to be like a fiber mascara. These kinds of products do not swatch well, but I am pleased with the color.
e.l.f. Loose Eyeshadow in Honey
I do not have any other eyeshadows like elf’s Loose Eyeshadow. All of the product is down in the cap, and you press the sponge-tip applicator into it. It takes a few dips into the powder to get the swatch. I definitely think you can build it up and make a pretty look with it. This is probably an item I will not reach for often.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Lightweight Concealer Stick in Fair/Light
I have been waiting to try the Beautifully Bare Concealer for a while. Fair/Light is the lightest shade, and it is alright. I prefer super light concealers for under eye brightening, and this could be lighter. I am pleased by how creamy it is and how easily it blends.
e.l.f. Mineral Lipstick in Runway Pink
As you already know, I am all about e.l.f.’s Mineral Lipsticks. I love this neutral pink shade. Of course, it is creamy and buildable. These lipsticks are great for those of all skill levels.
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Liquid Highlighter in Illuminating
The Beautifully Bare Liquid Highlighter is another product that I am dying to try because liquid highlighters are growing in popularity. My first note is that the product dispenses super fast. Definitely be careful while dispensing this. I like the golden champagne shade. It blends nicely, however, it feels very oily. Also, the swatch never sets, meaning it stays oily and gross. I have other liquid highlighters that I prefer over this one, because they set and do not feel disgusting.
e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Eyeshadow in Sailing Escapes
This is a basic eyeshadow, but the pigmentation is impressive! I do not use blue a lot, but it is nice to have around.
e.l.f. Sunkissed Glow Bronzer in Warm Tan
This Sunkissed Glow Bronzer is more of a cheap e.l.f. bronzer, but I am surprised by the pigmentation! It is totally not for use on lighter makeup days. It is a nice golden brown shade, yes, with some shimmer. Shimmery bronzers really do not bother me, but I know a lot of people dislike them. The shimmer is not too intense.
e.l.f. Lip Kiss Balm
Yay, I finally have more lip kiss balm shades! They are perfect for no-makeup makeup looks. They are tinted lip balms that provide just the right amount of pigmentation, without being lipsticks. I enjoy the minty fresh taste.
Flirty & Perky Pink
Berry Sweet
XO Red
e.l.f. All Over Color Sticks
These All over Color Sticks have an impressive creamy formula. You can blend them so easily with your fingers, and they make for a good cream highlight. Depending on the shade you might even get away with using them as a blush, but they are very shimmery.
Golden Peach
Spotlight
Lilac Petal
Persimmon
e.l.f. Day to Night Smoky Kit
I am forever a fan of the eyeshadow duos, and this is a great chance to get some more. The pigmentation is decent. I think the provided colors are perfect for creating a variety of smoky eye looks.
e.l.f. Lash Love Kit
The final item in this e.l.f. haul 9 is a neat little kit! The eye makeup remover pads are new to me, but I like the idea. I always have a hard time getting every bit of eye makeup off, so these will come in handy. I already own the Waterproof Eyeliner Pen, and I love it! I will definitely put this one away for later. Also included is the Natural Lash Kit and Lengthening & Defining Mascara. I have never been impressed by their mascaras in the past, so I will pass this one along. The lashes are alright. I do not find e.l.f.’s to look very natural, and I prefer a transparent band.
This concludes my e.l.f. haul 9! Do you use any of these products? Which ones are your favorites? Also, do you have a use for the mineral booster powder? Let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
