It is finally time for my e.l.f. haul 13 due to a massive 50% off sale! I am jumping on the opportunity to try out new products, as well as add on to my existing collections. This haul is definitely going to be colorful and swatch filled. I am going crazy with eye products, but they are honestly my favorite type of makeup. I think I am discovering some real winners in this haul, and I hope you stick around to find them with me! Let’s get started.
Tools
e.l.f. Mixing Palm Palette
My first item in my e.l.f. haul 13 is a super handy tool. It is difficult to find something that functions as a foundation mixing palette. This palette is perfect because it is easy to handle and is virtually hands-free. It has a velcro strap on the back so that you can securely wear the palette on your arm or around your hand. I will be retiring my unsafe glass candle dish and using this bad boy.
e.l.f. Pointed Powder Brush
This pointed powder brush has very good reviews, so I am giving it a try. Oddly shaped powder brushes tend to not work for me as they somehow take coverage away. The reviews say that this is one of those brushes that you start using and cannot stop, as it applies setting powder beautifully. I can say that it is luxuriously soft and has an appropriate amount of give. So far I am finding success with it, but I would like to experiment with other powders before I decide if this brush is a replacement for standard powder brushes.
e.l.f. Selfie Ready Detail Perfector
The detail perfector is definitely a different style of brush for this e.l.f. haul 13. e.l.f. claims that it blends as if you are using your finger. It is a densely packed, small domed brush. Based upon it’s size I think it is best suited for use around the eye area to blend out harsh lines in eyeshadow.
e.l.f. Small Smudge Brush
When you hear the words “smudge brush” you think of a brush that is used to smudge eyeliner for a smokey look. Getting to see this brush in person I must say that I am disappointed. It does not look any different than their $1 concealer brush, so I do not feel as though I just added a new brush to my collection. With this being said, I am sure it can smudge somewhat decently, but I do have a purple-handled Real Techniques smudge brush that works excellent already. This is probably a brush to skip.
Lips
e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator
The lip exfoliator is number five in my e.l.f. haul 13 and a tried-and-true, daily use product for me that I swear by. Before bed I rub the exfoliator all over my lips in a circular motion for about 30 seconds, then I wipe the excess away with a tissue and follow up with lip balm. The newer lip exfoliators are a no-go due to the ultra soft formula melting away in a few short weeks. While they are effective, they do not last me as long as the original, making the original more economical.
e.l.f. Liquid Matte Lipsticks
I am a huge fan of the e.l.f. matte lip color, so getting into the liquid matte lipsticks is an easy choice for me. I already have Praline in my collection because it is one of my all-time favorite lip shades. The liquid matte lipsticks provide full coverage in one swipe, and are highly pigmented. They dry down to be fully matte in a matter of minutes. If you do not enjoy the drying matte feeling on your lips, this formula may not be for you, but I can tolerate it. As far as staying power goes, I do not have any issues to report. Matte lip products tend to be long lasting anyway. The colors that I have in this e.l.f. haul 13 are so pretty and I cannot wait to dip into each one.
Tea Rose
Blushing Rose
Coffee
Smokey Taupe
Face
e.l.f. Daily Hydration Moisturizer
I am someone who jumps around from moisturizer to moisturizer, most due to subscription box samples. When I am out of samples I do need a daily moisturizer. Right now I am using Loreal’s Hydra Genius, but it is too expensive, forcing me to seek out a good moisturizer at a lower price point. This one in my e.l.f. haul 13 is half the price of Loreal’s, so fingers crossed!
e.l.f. Flawless Color Correcting Pen in Correct the Red
I may or may not have an obsession with trying out various green concealers, but redness is my biggest issue. Pen concealers typically have a bad reputation for having to click them 100 times before the product dispenses, but this pen in my e.l.f. haul 13 dispenses in less than 10 clicks. It is hard to judge a color corrector without using it on your face. The formula is thin and is somewhat sheer. The shade of green is light, which is probably good for my fair skin.
e.l.f. Baked Highlighter & Bronzer in Bronzed Glow
You may have noticed that I am not including a swatch of this product. You basically cannot swatch the e.l.f. baked products because you get no pigment from them. They all have a hard outer coating that needs to be scrapped off before use. This prevents the product from breaking during shipment. I honestly have so many of their baked products to scrape that just put this one on the back burner as well. I can tell by looking at the product that it will provide a light, summery bronzed glow with a highlighter that is on the whiter end of the spectrum, which I like. People always say the baked products are amazing once you scrape the top off.

e.l.f. Matte to Metal Eye Primer Transformer in Twinkling Taupe
I want to try one of the matte to metal primers as part of my e.l.f. haul 13 for the fun of it. I imagine that this primer will work similarly to Sin and Minor Sin Primer Potions from Urban Decay. The formula dries down completely, eliminating my doubts about creasing. The primer is applied with a skinny doe foot applicator. I can see myself applying it over regular primer and only onto the areas that I am looking for shimmer.
e.l.f. Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows
I already have some molten liquid eyeshadows in my collection, so I am simply adding on. I really like them because I can trust that they will not crease, and they have a stunning shine when dry. The pigmentation is almost full, but good enough for my needs. I apply them to specific areas and blend them out with my finger or a flat brush. They make for an awesome shimmery halo eye! They have a doe-foot applicator kind of like the ones you get in lip gloss.
Cool Steel
Mocha Metal
e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Smooth Matte Eyeshadows
The smooth matte eyeshadows are a new product for me. I have to say that I am really impressed with the swatches! They feel like super creamy concealers packed with pigment. You will see that I started to blend out the nude linen swatch with my finger to get a better idea of how they blend. They do diffuse very nicely. They dry down to be fully matte quickly, but not so fast that you do not have time to work with them. I am selecting these particular shades because I think they will act as nice bases or eyelid shades.
Nude Linen
Soft Beige
e.l.f. Mad for Matte Eyeshadow Palette in Jewel Pop
I am a fan of all of e.l.f.’s 10 pan eyeshadows and have collected each one. I am now adding jewel pop to my collection, and wow is it pretty! I am absolutely blown away by the swatches. Look at that pigmentation! The eyeshadows feel so smooth and creamy, and are fully matte as promised. If you like colorful eyeshadow, definitely consider adding this palette to your collection.
e.l.f. Sculpting Silk Eyeshadows
The sculpting silk eyeshadows are not showstoppers like the jewel pop palette, but they are decent for the price. I do consider them to be basic drugstore eyeshadows. I like them and I am not bashing them in any way. You do get what you pay for. They do not feel as smooth as jewel pop. I think beginners will really appreciate these mini palettes.
Fierce Blue
Smoke Showstopper
I want to make a special note about this palette. The first two shades are gorgeous and so unique, even for my huge collection! You can totally use them all over the lid as your only eyeshadow shades for a quick and easy makeup look.
Brown Beauties
Berry Please
e.l.f. Best Friend Eyeshadow Duos
I am ending this e.l.f. haul 13 with more best friend eyeshadow duos for my collection. The same thoughts that I have about the sculpting silk eyeshadows apply to these duos. I am not someone who wears only two eyeshadows at a time, but I can appreciate the concept. They are perfect for those five-minute light makeup days. For me, I supplement them with other shadows.
Soul Mate
Pink Pal
Tea for Two
What do you think of my e.l.f. haul 13? Will you be trying any of these products after reading this post? Tell me your thoughts in the comments. I think that I am most pumped about the jewel pop palette, the liquid lipsticks, and the smooth matte eyeshadows. I do feel as though I have a fair value for my money and that most of these products are winners. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope to see you again for my next e.l.f. haul! Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
