Continuing the quest of finding the ideal formula, I present this TIRTIR Mask Fit All Cover Pink Cushion Foundation review. I am doing three wear tests and swatches to give you the most details in your shopping journey.

Details & Claims

TIRTIR Mask Fit All Cover Pink Cushion Foundation review

I will start with where you can buy this pink beauty. It is available from Amazon, YesStyle, and TirTir’s website. This brand is not yet sold in stores. Amazon puts it on sale often, however, you can normally get a lower price from YesStyle as it ships direct. The shipping will take longer.

As of now, there are 20 shades. I expect more shades in the future. It is $25 and you get 0.63 fl oz. A standard foundation is normally 1 fl oz. This is also available in a mini for $15, which is good for travel and exploring the shade range and formula.

This foundation claims to provide a high-coverage finish that stays soft and skin-like. It should have a velvety matte texture for long-lasting wear. I am confused by the claim that says “experience a smooth, velvety matte finish with a large volume of cover powder” there is nothing powdery about the foundation. I believe what they mean is that it contains powder in the formula, but it should never smudge or get cakey.

They tout a “double shield technology” with a film coating that makes the foundation adhere better to the skin. This should make the foundation last longer.

While it is perfectly fine for all skin types, TirTir recommends this foundation for oily and combination skin.

To apply, place two fingers in the application (or three if it feels loose). Press the applicator onto the cushion, then tap it on the back of the lid to remove the excess product. Pat the product over your skin.

SUMMARY
The pink foundation from TirTir is available on Amazon, YesStyle, and TirTir’s website, with YesStyle often offering lower prices. It comes in 20 shades, offers high coverage with a velvety matte finish, and is recommended for oily and combination skin, featuring “double shield technology” for better adherence and longevity.

Swatches & Shades

The swatche below are of shade 17C Porcelain, which I believe is my perfect match. I did one press of the puff onto the cushion, then pressed it onto my skin in the first picture. In the second picture I use the puff to blend it out. The swatches look very matte but I promise on the skin that satin glow is immeditely there.

Review

For this review I have done three wear test trials. I have been working my way through this brand’s cushion foundations. Over the years I have tested hundreds of complexion products. My skin type is combination where I get oily in the t-zone and prone to breakouts.

I wear the same shade in all of their foundations, and I am not noticing color variation or oxidation. I always pair my foundation with primer, over top of my skincare. When I test foundation I pair it with nothing new, tried and true products that will not interfere with the longevity or finish.

Starting with general points, I find the TirTir pink cushion applies normally over top of skincare and primer. The finish is buildable, and you get to a high-meidium almost darn near full coverage finish very quickly. It is full glam! The formula dries down well to about 98% in terms of tackiness. To me, all foundation transfers to a degree and never fully dries down. This is pretty good.

I was expecting this to be super matte and even dry. I had this foundation for months, afraid to wear it! As soon as I started my first application, it was apparant that the claims are not true. This foundation has a hint of shine that makes it a true satin, or semi-matte. It is never heavy or cakey and really looks skin-like. There is no smoothing. You may even use this foundation as a concealer for a 2-in-1 effect.

A little goes a long way. One tap can do just about half of your face.

As I keep saying, the puff does a perfectly good job of applying and getting into detailed areas of the face. You are welcome to use a sponge, too. I see no difference. The applicator does not soak up much product and is easy to clean with warm water and brush cleaning soap.

I have a tricky time with foundations looking heavy and cakey on my upper lip and chin, especially if I go heavy-handed. For my three wear tests, I was very careful.

In my first trial I used a basic hydrating primer and setting spray. I applied with their applicator, and I did not set the look with powder. I followed-up with a few bounces of a damp sponge. I have to say that I am blown away! Only a hint of oils came through, just on the forehead. I wore this foundation for 12 hours and it looks just as beautiful at the end of the day as it does at application!

I always end a foundation review saying normal wear and tear. The thing is, ALL makeup settles into lines. This is a fact of life. My smile lines really bother me. As I am getting older, my forehead lines are becoming more pronounced. I have stopped bringing foundation and concealer up to my under eye lines. I need to say there is virtually no wear and tear with this foundation. My smile lines look amazing. This is unheard of. I also got a compliment on my makeup!

For the second wear test I used a makeup extending primer, basic setting spray, a sponge, and I still did not set with powder. There is no change from the first trial. You do not need to use makeup extending products or techniques with this foundation. It is long-wearing all on its own.

For my final trial I did hydrating primer, basic setting spray, set with powder, and used their applicator. Thus far, this is the only TirTir foundation that you can set with powder and still have it look pretty! You cannot make it look heavy and cakey. If you want to take the formula from satin to matte, setting with powder is the way to go.

This might be dramatic, but, this foundation has ruined all other foundations for me. It is absolutely approved for special occasion, bullet-proof looks. The differentiating factor between this foundation and all of my other favorites is how it does not sink into lines, especially smile lines. This is absolutely the TirTir formula for me! It is definitely full glam and not something that you need on the daily.

If you do not want full coverage and, rather, a subtle dewy look, I have a TirTir Mask Fit Aura Silver Cushion review.

This Asian cushion foundation is very different from the competition in terms of the shade range and finish. Cushion foundations generally avoid deep skin tones, and they normally do not come in high-coverage satin or matte finishes. TirTir is also unique with their film-coating ingredients that contribute to the long wear.

This foundation is best for oily and combination skin types. Those with dry skin may find this foundation too dry. Normal skin can probably get away with it. If you want full coverage with more of a dewy look, I recommend my TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion review. That is the original, but pink is really the best variation for me.

These are the quantitative measurements:

  • Lightweight Feel: 10/10
The formula is incredibly light weight to give full coverage.
  • Matte Finish: 8/10
Delivers a true satin or semi-matte finish.
  • Precision Application: 9/10
The puff applies the foundation well and gets into the crevices of the face.
  • Ease of Cleaning Puff: 10/10
The puff does not absorb much product so it is easy to clean.

“It also feels very ‘makeup’-y on the skin with not much of a refined finish to it – a powdery finish that only ‘melted’ into my skin an hour after application due to my oils seeping through. So maybe if you’re going to go somewhere that you know you’ll be taking lots of photos or looking for a photogenic foundation for your wedding day, it might be better for that. For everyday makeup, it’s a bit much for me personally.”
