Anastasia Brow Freeze and soap brows are two popular options for keeping eyebrows in place and maintaining their shape. Both options can provide a strong hold for the eyebrows, but they have different application methods, hold and longevity, and results. In this Anastasia Brow Freeze vs. soap comparison, we will look at the unique features and benefits of each product and help you decide which one is best for your needs.
Anastasia Brow Freeze Vs. Soap
Anastasia Brow Freeze Claims, Directions
Anastasia Brow Freeze is a clear wax that is designed to provide long-lasting, extreme hold to lock your brows in place for a lifted, feathered look. It is for taming your brows in a mess-free and non-flakey way. To apply the product, you are to pick it up with the spoolie, wipe the excess in the lid, then work the product back and forth into your brows as it dries.
Brow Soap Directions
Brow soaps typically provides long-wearing firm hold for lifted, tamed, and sculpted brows with a fluffy finish. You can use any clear soap that you want. I like Pears soap because you can get it in stores for under $2 and it will last you forever, and elf’s Soap Brow is travel friendly. No matter what soap you choose, you only need to spray it with water or makeup setting spray, roll a spoolie over it, then brush it upwards into your brows.

Soap Brows vs. Anastasia Brow Freeze Review
From what I can tell, all soaps dry down to a firm, hard finish that is matte. This will cause your brows to stay lifted and spiked all day, with that fluffy and full look. You can call this hold “extreme.”
ABH Brow Freeze also fully dries, with a matte finish that lasts all day. This product does make a fluffy claim. Once you go in to add tint, a powder, pencil, gel, etc., your brows do get a fluffy look. It does help to work the spoolie back and forth. You can use this product to get a flat, “laminated” effect if you so choose.
I like to apply a brow filling colored product after using one of these taming methods. The formulas interact the same with any fillers: pencils, gels, powders, etc.

In the side-by-side below of Brow Freeze vs. soap brows, the only difference is that my eyebrows are longer on the soap side. The pictures were shot in the same week, but I am using a serum that makes them grow quickly. Outside of the length, the results are virtually the same. Both products produce the same look and feeling, as they are means to the same end. When it comes to brow soap vs. Brow Freeze, you do want to keep in mind that soap is relatively inexpensive, while Anastasia Beverly Hills is $23. Also, soap is clearly not waterproof, where as ABH is. It comes down to personal preference and budget. I like both for what they are.
