Over the years I have found Maybelline foundations to be very hit or miss. The majority of the ones that I have tried I have not liked how they look and wear on me at all. To stay on trend with lighter, more natural makeup looks, the brand is trying their version of a serum-like foundation. I am fully testing the Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint + Vitamin C to see if it is worth your cash.

Where To Buy Maybelline SuperStay 24 Hour Skin Tint

I want to start with where you can find the Maybelline skin tint. It is available from most retailers that carry the brand, including Ulta, Target, Amazon, and Walmart. The price is anywhere from $13.99 – $17.99 depending on where you buy it, which is quite pricey from the drugstore. It comes in 18 shades, and the one featured here is 102. They are packaged in a glass bottle with a dropper.

Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint Foundation Claims, Benefits, Directions

Second are the claims, directions, and key ingredients surrounding Maybelline SuperStay 24 Hour Skin Tint. This should be a light-to-medium coverage foundation that provides a skin-like look with a natural and radiant finish. It should be weightless for daily wear. It is sweat, humidity, and fade-proof for up to 24 hours of wear. The key ingredient is Vitamin C to brighten your complexion over time for a fresh look. This foundation is dermatologist tested, non-comedogenic, and safe for sensitive skin.

Below are my Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint swatches of shade 102:

To use Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint foundation, you are to shake the bottle well. Then, apply a few drops with your fingers or a sponge to blend in. You can layer the product to build it up to medium coverage. This may be worn alone or layered with makeup and/or skincare.

Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint Review

It is now time for my Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint review. This product is very similar to my L’Oreal True Match Hyaluronic Tinted Serum review, so I recommend that you open it in another tab for a quick comparison and contrast. I will say this is thicker than the L’Oreal, making it more like foundation and less like a serum. To start, I can definitely build the foundation up to medium coverage. One light layer is great for a no-makeup makeup look, and two layers is more glam, yet natural.

This foundation layers well with skincare and makeup, and it applies normally. It is lightweight and looks very smooth and almost skin-like. It feels hydrating to the skin, and the finish is dewy and fresh in a healthy way. You can apply it with any tool that you prefer, but I am a sponge girl. Over the day I do see normal wear and tear, but otherwise it holds up good and does not fade. It does allow oils through but they look natural.

This is a great option to wear un-powdered to layer your creams and liquids over, as well as to do a light or no-makeup look. On my combination skin where my t-zone gets oily, I find it is not the most flattering look with the level of dewiness that the foundation provides. I recommend targeted powdering if you are doing the no-powder look, but this is personal preference. L’Oreal does not make me feel this way. When you powder this foundation you will loose that dewy look, but it does like powder! It still looks skin-like, as well as soft and smooth. This is definitely a winner from Maybelline that I will continue to gladly use!

I was not a fan after my Maybelline SuperStay Powder Foundation review, but since this tint looks good both powdered and not, I am thinking they might make a good pair. That requires further testing to verify.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this review detailing the Maybelline SuperStay Skin Tint, this product meets its claims and looks wonderful on the skin. It lasts during the day very well! Of course, I do not wear my makeup for 24 hours to explore that claim, but the product is very soft and skin-like with a wow-worthy radiant finish.
