Is it just me or did January go by really slow, but February was super fast?! Here in this February 2020 empties review I am going over 23 products out of a 29 day month. These results are much better than January as I continue to work on products that take more time to use up. Most of these products are skincare related, as I have not been wearing much makeup to have any real beauty empties. I will let you know what is worth it, and what is not. Let us dive right in.

Body

I am starting the February 2020 empties review off with three body products.

  • Cutex All-in-one Hand & Cuticle Cream: I use hand cream every night before bed, and I can usually tell in the morning wether or not my hand cream is working based upon how dry my hands feel once I get up and going. This cream does work. I am not a fan of the chemically produced grapefruit scent. The formula quickly absorbs without a greasy residue, which is what I look for. This is a Dollar Tree find that I have no plans to repurchase.
  • Soap & Glory Flake Away: Flake Away is my second favorite body polish. It gets the job done without being too abrasive, and I recommend it. I never go out and buy it on its own, as I typically get it from gift sets.
  • Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter: You already know that I love this thick, luxurious body butter or cream. I have no dry skin in sight, and I think it is particularly good to use in the winter. Just as above, I recommend it but I usually get it in gift sets, not alone.

Hair

Second are a handful of haircare products.

  • Love Beauty and Planet Coconut Water and Mimosa Flower Shampoo: Last month I emptied the conditioner, but I promised the shampoo was coming! I like that it cleans my hair without weighing it down or leaving residue. Other than that- it is shampoo and I have nothing else to say. I have no plans to repurchase.
  • Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color Nourishing Anti-Brass Treatment: This is an extremely light pastel purple conditioner. While my hair feels conditioned, I do not see a reduction in brassiness. I cannot be mad about that because I bought it before I found out that I need to be using blue, not purple products. Maybe if you are a natural blonde you might want to give this product a go, but I cannot repurchase since it is not right for my hair type.
  • wet n wild Pump It’s My Cheat Day Refreshing Hair Mist: This is a hair mist that you are supposed to spray on after working out. The scent is light and does not persist throughout the day, but it does add shine to the hair. I will not repurchase as this product is not a necessity for me.
  • Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Shampoo: This shampoo is super dark purple, reminiscent of Shimmer Lights. I do see some results, but not as much as when I use blue shampoo. Again, I am not mad. A natural blonde should really give this stuff a go.
  • Drybar Blonde Ale Brightening Conditioner: I am used to purple conditioners being light pastel purple, but this is the darkest one I have ever used. Once again, blue is best for my hair type. So, if you are a natural blonde, then give this one a try as well.

Skincare

Third, I have a ton of skincare empties.

  • Loreal Hydra Genius for Oily Skin: A good moisturizer, to me, not only moisturizes, but actually controls the production of oils on my face. This is not a bad moisturizer, but it does not fully control oil like some others do. It is a pass for me.
  • wet n wild megaglo Facial Toner: This toner has a slight herbal scent to it, which is nice. It provides a slight, natural glow to the skin. I cannot repurchase because it has been discontinued.
  • elf+ Matte Oil-Control Mask: This is a good clay mask from the drugstore. I will not sit here and tell you that it controls 100% of my oils, but it is good for what it is worth. I will not repurchase, but you may want to try it.
  • Bioderma Sensibio Micellar Water: This micellar water does the job without leaving any residue, and it does not burn my eyes. I will consider a repurchase in the future.
  • Sunday Riley C.E.O. Vitamin C Rapid Flash Brightening Serum: I always want to really like Sunday Riley products, but I cannot say that this serum makes my skin any brighter than all of the other products that I am slathering on my face daily. For what it is worth, it at least absorbs into the skin quickly. I will not repurchase.
  • No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Serum: This serum somewhat absorbs into the skin ok, but I do not like the greasy feeling that it leaves behind. I honestly do not think I get any results from it and I will not repurchase.
  • Glamglow Supermud Clearing Treatment: This is a great clay mask! It dries super fast on me, anywhere from five to 10 minutes. You can tell that it is dry because it goes from a dark gray to a light gray. This mask tingles, so I would not use it more than a few times per week. The only reason I will not repurchase is that I will not spend the money on high-end masks.
  • Almay Clear Complexion Blemish Armor: This acne spot treatment does effectively dry out acne spots, not to the point that they are flaky and gross. If you have larger areas of acne or severe spots, then this will not do much. I never wear it under makeup because the area that you apply it stays tacky and weird feeling. This is not impressive enough to repurchase.
  • No 7 Lift & Luminate Triple Action Serum: This serum is a lot better than the Protect and Perfect because it is not greasy, yet it still absorbs into the skin well. I do not see it doing anything so I will not repurchase.
  • Spacriptions Bedazzled Firming Glitter Peel-off Facial Mask: What can I say, this mask is fun to wear, and it peels off. It is slightly painful but not that bad. I do not see results from it, so I will not repurchase.
  • Spascriptions Bedazzled Pore Refining Glitter Peel-off Facial Mask: My thoughts are the same as those on the above mask.
  • elf Supermask: This mask is like a sheer white cream that you slather all over the face. Surprisingly, it is kind of greasy. I am now moving onto the full-size tub. So far, I am not seeing any results. This is more of a pamper yourself, calm down kind of mask.

Beauty, Fragrance, and Nails

The last February 2020 empties review are a fragrance, a top coat, and a lip scrub.

  • Physicians Formula Butter Paradise: This fragrance is the iconic Butter collection scent in a bottle. It is characteristic of a ‘cheap’ perfume because the scent fades quickly and it is not that strong to begin with. I will not repurchase, but, you cannot buy it on its own anyway. You have to buy it as part of a set.
  • Orly In a Snap Quick Dry Topcoat: A good top coat has to meet a handful of criteria for me. It has to deliver crazy shine, dry fast enough that I can go straight to bed without getting bed sheet creases in my nail polish, and it needs to be thick enough to correct nail polish mistakes. This one does it all, and I love it! I have already repurchased.
  • wet n wild perfectpout Rebel Rose Lip Scrub: I am still working through all of my perfectpout lip scrubs. As I have said, these do work and I like them. I thought that using a rose flavored product on the lips would not be appealing, but this is not bad at all. Onto my last lip scrub!

Conclusion

In summary of my February 2020 empties review, I have a lot more than I did last month. Some of these products have taken a while to empty. It is always hard to impress me to the point where I absolutely have to repurchase something, since I blast through so many products as a blogger. But, there are a few definite must-haves in this group, and a bunch that I can at least recommend depending on your personal needs. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

What is one empty that you are committed to trying from this group?
