wet n wild Bretman Rock Jungle Rock Collection

Girl, you know that I love a good collection from wet n wild. I am pleased to present the wet n wild Bretman Rock Jungle Rock collection. This is a collaboration between wet n wild and beauty influencer Bretman Rock. Together they are creating a makeup line that provides all the summertime feels. I find it odd that it is being released in the winter, but anything that reminds me of summer right now is nice.

This collection features 11 products with a tropical design. You can purchase the products individually or as a full set. These products are available from wet n wild, Ulta, Amazon, and Walgreens.

I am reviewing this entire collection, complete with swatches, and showing how I wear these products. If you like seeing me do a full-face as part of my reviews, please let me know in the comments! wet n wild Bretman Rock Collection

Brushes

I am starting off the wet n wild Bretman Rock collection with the three brushes. Each feature an ombre gold to pink handle that say “Bretman Rock.” They come packaged in a plastic tube, just like the Rebel Rose brushes. The quality of these brushes matches their Pro Brush Line.

• Eyeshadow Precision Blending Brush: This brush is shaped like a crease brush. It features a fluffy, tapered tip that claims to create a soft, blown-out and blended look. It works just fine for its purpose, but it does not beat my favorite crease brush.
• Face Highlighting Brush: This highlighting brush works perfectly good for any type of highlighter. It is designed with a slender, tapered tip to provide a seamless highlight.
• Eyeshadow Placement Brush: This is the type of brush that I will use to apply eyeshadow to the eyelid. It has a dense, flat-head that is designed to pack eyeshadow on with precision.

Bretman Rock x wet n wild Bad Bitch Lift Mascara in Black

If you have been disappointed by wet n wild mascaras in the past, then you may be pleasantly surprised with Bad Bitch Lift Mascara. It works better than some of their other mascaras, but it will not be creeping into my list of favorite mascaras. The shape of the wand is unusual- it is curved like a caterpillar, but it actually does coat all of your lashes. wet n wild claims that it dramatically curls, lifts and defines your lashes for a full-fan effect. I do not fully agree with that claim. It also touts a pigment dispersion system that will not flake, but will provide even and buildable coverage. There is no way for me to really prove the ‘pigment dispersion system.’ Overall, it is ok.

Jungle Rock 3-in-1 Face Mist in Dew Me in the Jungle

You must shake the 3-in-1 Face Mist well before each use because it completely separates into a clear liquid with a white gold shimmer. I am loving the super fine mist that the sprayer provides! wet n wild, you need to re-vamp your other setting sprays with this sprayer! The spray smells just like a coconut tanning lotion that I had many moons ago. You can use this spray to prep, set, or to refresh your makeup. It provides a dewey finish by spraying a fine glitter onto the face, and it hydrates the skin.

Jungle Rock Lipglosses

Every time that I am about to talk about lipgloss I always state that I hate lipgloss in general because I like a lip that is long lasting and not sticky. However, if I were to wear or recommend any lipgloss, I will always pick wet n wild. Their formula is not sticky at all. These Jungle Rock lipglosses are very sheer and packed with lots of glitter. I recommend wearing them layered over another lip color, but you can rock them alone if you want. They have a slight coconut or tropical scent.

Freaky is is a pink purple, while Fearless is an orange pink, and Ferocity is gold.

Jungle Rock Loose Highlighting Duo in Liger

Next up in the wet n wild Bretman Rock collection is the loose highlighter duo. I love that each side has a protective lid so that the highlighters cannot mix. Other brands need to take note of this packaging for all loose products. I hate having to store loose products upright to avoid a mess when I go to use them!

The gold shade on the left is called Gold Lioness. It has a lot of glitter in it. The pink shade on the right is called Bronze Tigress, and it is almost all glitter. If you do not like a glittery highlights, this duo will be a pass for you. I will primarily use Gold Lioness because it works better on my skin tone than Bronze Tigress, and I am not really into the glitter look of Bronze Tigress.

You can also blend both of these shades together, which I have a swatch of. Blending them really dulls out both colors and you end up with light gold glitter.

Ultimately, these do provide a blinding highlight, which is exactly what I look for in a highlighter.

Jungle Rock Makeup Bag

The Jungle Rock Makeup Bag can actually fit the entire Jungle Rock collection, and with room to spare! I am pleased with the quality and branded design. The zipper pull features the Bretman Rock “BR” logo in gold.

Jungle Rock Shadow Palette

The last item in the wet n wild Bretman Rock collection is the product that you all have been waiting for- the Jungle Rock Shadow Palette! It features the large layout design that we first saw with The 40 Palette and The Metallic Palette.

Now, I am hearing a lot of things about this palette, including that the formula is new for wet n wild. I do not believe it is new necessarily, but the quality and pigmentation is on the level of The 40 Palette. All of these eyeshadows are buttery soft. The palette contains a mix of mattes, shimmers, glitters and satins. You can use these eyeshadows wet or dry.

The reds and Anaconduhh are the hardest to swatch and take many tries to build up the pigment. All of the other shades are crazy pigmented. Feline Myself is an impeccable purple, and purples are hard to get right! Venomous and Tou-can Play that Game had some fallout while swatching. Coconut Connoisseur is too close to my natural skin tone to see it. Really, these shadows apply even better to the eye with a brush versus swatching, which is what it is all about.

I do support the claims that these eyeshadows are seamless, soft, smooth, buttery, and not patchy. If you are into bright and bold eyeshadow, then I do recommend this palette.

Wearing the Collection

Below I am wearing a full face of wet n wild, including every product from the Bretman Rock collection. I am even using the brushes! There are so many looks that I can do with this palette, but I figure people want to see a bright and bold eyeshadow look as they consider making the purchase. I am doing an all-pink monochromatic look. Here is a list of the wet n wild products that I am wearing outside of Jungle Rock:

To create the eye look specifically, I start by setting the eye primer with Coconut Connoisseur. Next, I pack Flaminghoe into the crease. Then, I cut the crease with the liquid creme eyeshadow. I wet the Eyeshadow Placement Brush and apply Liar & a Cheetah over the creme eyeshadow. For the outer corner I blend in some Tou-can Play that Game. I am bringing both Flaminghoe and Tou-can Play that Game under my eye. I finish the eyeshadow look off with highlighting the inner corner and brow bone with Prowl. Coconut Connoisseur is also a nice shade to blend everything out with.

I cannot go without eyeliner, so I am making a micro-fine line with the Breakup Proof eyeliner. I am wearing the brow highlighter on my lower lash line. The Bad Bitch Lift Mascara is on my lashes.

Conclusion

We are at the end of my wet n wild Bretman Rock review. Overall, I am happy with this collection and I give it an A+. My favorite product is the eyeshadow palette, because I am an eyeshadow junkie! All of these products are of good quality, so it really comes down to a matter of personal preference when you go to make a purchase. You cannot go wrong with whatever you decide to buy.
