Where To Buy

When it comes to where you can buy the new additions, there was no real release date. The items started popping up at the beginning of the year at various retailers. You should be able to find everything from most retailers that carry the brand. This includes Walmart, Amazon, wet n wild, and more.

perfectpout Lip Liner Stain

The ooo and ahhhh factor about these lip liners is the unique shape. When I try to line my lips with the long edge they stop working partway through the job as if they are drying out, but they are not. I never thought to even try lining with the tip until I read the claims! I usually line and fill with the flat side and that works for my lip shape.

If you have any other makeup on your lips such as a smudge of foundation they will not want to “write” over it very well. Make sure your lips are clean.

The finish is matte and they dry down fast. They might look streaky if you try to apply another layer before you let it dry. They do not dry out your lips. It drives me crazy that they dry down darker than how they swatch and they do not end up matching the packaging.

I tested these multiple ways. They wear off quickly without a staining benefit. When I layer them with any other lip product they hold up much better. However, that is my exact experience with every lip stain that I have tried thus far. They all work the best as insurance layered under other lip products.

I would like to see wet n wild release more shades!

Claims: This lip liner has a blade shaped applicator for defining the lips, a pointed tip for lining, and a flat side for filling. The transfer-proof formula should provide all day wear.

megastay Extreme Hold Brow Gel

This is one of those super firm and long wearing brow gels that is truly a brow glue! If you want that laminated and lifted look all day, this is it. The formula dries down without any flakes. The applicator is the perfect size for the brows. I have no issue pairing it with colored products to fill the brows.

Claims: This lightweight gel should have extreme staying power for 16 hours. The non-sticky formula should dry clear for a laminted brow look minus flakes. The small spoolie allows for precision lifting of brow hairs.

Powder Puff in Pink

I have to be honest and say that this puff works perfectly good but it is no different from any other puff! I do reach for it a lot only because it is one of my newer puffs. It adds nothing to the market but it is a good buy if you are in need. It cleans just like any other puff too.

Claims: This puff should pick up and blend both pressed and loose powders for a flawless look. The triangle shape is designed to fit around tight spaces like the eyes and nose for precision application. The elastic band gives you control, and you can also use both sides of the puff. The puff is reusable and washable. Hand wash it and let it dry.

primefocus Clingy Primer Serum

I am no stranger to gripping primer, but in my first round of tests I did not like this product. My observation is that the formula is thicker than other brands. Having a bit more water, if you will, would be a benefit. I wear sunscreen that is tinted with no coverage and I let it sit for about 15 minutes before I apply primer. Because of the tint I can see that this primer is actually pulling it up.

I tested this first with a foundation that does not wear well on me. It was very patchy on the nose and all of my foundation wore off which never happens. There was normal wear and tear elsewhere but it did not extend makeup wear time.

My second trial was with a mid-level foundation. It was still patchy in spots. It seems like the formula being thicker makes it too sticky. Still, normal wear and tear.

I wore it with more of an 8/9 out 10 star foundation and the results improved. With a 10/10 it just looked heavy. I ended up giving up on this primer for a time.

I learned the right way to apply it and it has changed my opinion! This is actually the proper way to wear any gripping primer, but, you cannot skip these steps with this one for sure. First, dispense some onto the back of your hand and let your skin warm it up. You can even swirl your finger in it a bit.

Next, dip the underside of your middle and or index finger in the product and use your bone to swipe it across the skin. Once you have all of your skin covered, pat it in.

Since I have adopted this method, I have no issues of patichess or heaviness! I now believe that it extends makeup wear time. It also makes the skin pretty dewy but that is normal with this type of primer. I have combo oily skin and it does not make me oily. Once I apply whatever foundation I am not so worried about the dew anymore.

It is not designed to fill pores, but (pro tip) gripping primers pair exceptionally well with pore filling/putty-like primers.

I would like to see WNW thin the formula just a bit and then it will be perfect.

Claims: This long lasting primer contains skin-loving ingredients to brighten and hydrate with a dewy finish. Apply a thin layer and allow it to set for a mintue to be locked in for 16 hours of wear.

Triple Feature 3-Piece Cushion Sponge Set

These sponges are made to use wet. They do expand and they are super soft and bouncy wet or dry. They leave you with a skin-like finish just like you get with any sponge. Ultimately, they do not give me results that are any different from wet n wild’s sponge, or another brand’s sponge, for that matter.

So far I have been able to get all makeup to fully wash out without staining or tearing up the sponge. I wonder how long that will be the case.

The elastic band gives you good contol.

Now, the sizes are a bit odd. The smallest size is excellent for getting into areas like the under eye and around the nose. I find the large size to be impractical. I simply do not know what I would use it for. The middle size is what I use for all cream and liquid makeup. However, the shape leaves lines in your makeup and you have to re-blend areas. They released a limited set in the wet n wild My Melody and Kuromi collection where they changed the middle size to a triangle. THAT is the perfect shape.

Claims: These sponges are made with a cushion-like material to be super soft yet blend with a streak-free and airbrushed finish. The stretchy ribbon gives you a secure grip. The included shapes are great for both liquids and powders.

photofocus Loose Setting Powder in Soft Pink

If you loved the pink powder from the wet n wild Hello Kitty collection, I am happy to report it is now in the permanent core line! WNW’s loose setting powder formula is one of the best. It is finely milled to smooth out your skin and give a slight blur. It will fully set your makeup down and lock it in for long wear, plus help with oil production.

Please note this is matte with no glitter or shimmer. You always get so much product for the price! It makes a lovely pairing with their puff.

What I love about pink setting powder on fair skin is the brightening effect. It is amazing for brigthening the under eye area. However, the shade is light enough that you can set the entire face if you so desire. I love when people set their under eyes with pink powder and connect it down to their blush. It looks so flattering!

Claims: This powder should be lightweight and silky while enhancing your natural glow. It should blend effortlessly into your skin to blur and smooth imperfections all day. It should minimize shine and is fine for all skin types.

Breakup Proof Wing Out Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black

The Breakup Proof line is the real deal. This is a formula that washes off when you are ready, but otherwise it will not budge, smudge, flake, melt, anything. I am a major fan of the original pen as well as the skinny.

This formula is matte black. When it comes to the brush tip, it works. However, it is not doing anything that I cannot get with any other liner. It does not enhance my life in any way, that is why I give it 4 stars. I love the formula but this is not really a new innovation.

Also, sometimes it does ok on one eye and when I move onto the next it acts like it is drying up. I do store it tip down and I do not have that issue with their other liners.

Claims: The angled brush tip should enable you to create sharp and steady lines. The formula should last up to 16 hours against sweat, hudmidity, and tears.

Mega Glitter Shimmer Liquid Lipstick

In a year of sheer and glossy lips, this product is such a curveball but I love it! This is a full coverage in one swipe matte liquid lipstick. Nothing is patchy. The formula is kind of heavy but not in a bad way. I do not feel them on the lips.

The new innovation is that when you allow it to fully dry then press your lips together and release you get a glitter reveal. The glitter is small in a flattering way and it does not transfer, nor does the lip color. It holds up pretty well with eating and drinking. If you do need to re-apply it does not gunk up.

The triangular applicator is easy to control and holds an appropriate amount of product. On occasion they dry out my inner lip slightly but it does not happen every time. That might be more of a personal problem.

We need more shades! We did get two limited edition colors for Halloween in the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Forsaken Forest collection but we still need more.

Claims: This formula starts matte but transfforms into a glitter look when you press your lips together. You should get vibrant color with a lightweight feel. It should apply smooth. The formula contains Vitamin E to nourish and condition the lips for a soft feel.
