I love the beginning of the year because that means wet n wild will be adding onto their core line! This is the time when they do a big drop, outside of their limited edition releases that occur during the year. I am doing a full review of the wet n wild 2023 new products, which includes swatches, details, star ratings, and a look. This collection is a bit bigger than 2022, and we have plenty of new lip color to explore!
Where to Buy the 2023 New Products
As of the time of this writing, you can get all of the products from Amazon. Ulta only carries a selection, and it continues to dwindle. The wet n wild 2023 new products release date has already passed in January 2023. We can only hope to find these items at more retailers as the year progresses. Please note, the Cherry Syrup shade of Rose Comforting Lip Color is not yet available.
wet n wild 2023 New Products Coming Out
coloricon Blush
First in the wet n wild 2023 new products are the two new coloricon Blush shades. Back in the wet n wild 2020 new products they discontinued several blush shades, and repackaged and reformulated them into this round format. This upset me because two of the shades work great, and the other two lack pigmentation big time. I am happy to report that these two new shades work great! They are soft, blendable, and buildable to last all day.
Claims: This blush claims to provide a natural glow and a splash of color with seamless blending. It should be velvety-soft for a natural flush of color and soft pigment. This should have buildable tint and up to 16 hour wear.

Shadow Silk Liquid Eyeshadow
Second for the wet n wild 2023 new products release are the Shadow Silk Liquid Eyeshadows. These are like a fresh take on the megalast Liquid Catsuit Liquid Eyeshadows. These do not fade, crease, crack, or transfer. At the end of the day, they look as great as they did upon initial application. The metallics are super shiny! My only negative is that they dry rather fast, so your time to work with them is minimal. The doe foot applicator is easy to use.
Claims: You should be able to layer the formula as much or as little as you like because it has intense pigmentation that dries fast. The applicator makes precision easy.

megalast Lock ‘n’ Shine Lip Color + Gloss
Third for the wet n wild 2023 new products coming out are the megalast Lock ‘n’ Shine Lip Color + Glosses. I first tested these on their own without the gloss. You can easily build them up to be full coverage, and they are not streaky as my swatches might suggest. The formula dries down to be fully matte, but it never gets dry or flakey. These really feel like Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink, in the sense that they feel like they coat and hug the lips, and the formula is super sticky. You can alleviate the stickiness by applying some powder over top (such as the new 5-in-1 Essence Primer + Finish Powder), otherwise they will stay tacky until you eat a meal. There is virtually no transfer as they hold up extremely well.
If you are a fan of a super juicy lip, then you will love the gloss. It is extra glossy, but it is on the heavy side. The gloss will cause the lip color to wear off.
Claims: This product should have 12 hour wear (without the gloss) that you can build up to full coverage. It will leave your lips looking and feeling radiant. The gloss adds mirror-like shine.

Ta-Da! Eraser Silicone-Free Waterproof Eye and Lip Makeup Remover
Fourth is the Ta-Da! Eraser Silicone-Free Waterproof Eye and Lip Makeup Remover. This is the type of remover that has oil, so you need to shake it before use. It burned my eyes slightly, but not enough to complain about. I find that it is effective in removing any makeup, including waterproof, without leaving residue.
Claims: This makeup remover can be used on the eye and lip area for almost instant removal. It does not contain silicone as to leave the skin with a clean feeling while not clogging pores. It is for all skin types.

megalast Eyeshadow Primer
Fifth for the wet n wild 2023 new products is the megalast Eyeshadow Primer. I compared the ingredients in this new version to the old, and they are completely different. With that being said, I cannot find a difference in the formula, application, or wear. This has always been one of my holy-grail eyeshadow primers, and it still will hold that spot in this new formula. It absolutely is a dupe for Urban Decay Primer Potion, as it extends wear and prevents fading, creasing, and movement. Claims: This eye primer will extend the wear of any eyeshadow for up to 16 hours, while even adhering loose or glitter pigments with ease.

Breakup Proof Waterproof Retractable Gel Eyeliner
Next are two new shades of Breakup Proof Waterproof Retractable Gel Eyeliner. I am happy to see them adding new colors to this line! These glide on smoothly without tugging or skipping, and they last all day, even on the waterline. We need some crazy colors next!
Claims: This eyeliner should apply boldly with a smooth glide for up to 16 hours of wear.

Breakup Proof Skinny Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black
Here is the Breakup Proof Skinny Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black. This reminds me of the Kat Von D liner, which is one of my all-time-favorites when you are talking a brush tip. However, this is the most skinny and precise liquid eyeliner that I have ever used! I highly recommend this for beginners. All you do is shake it and apply for bold, matte black pigment. It lasts well.
I have a special comparison below for you! I am currently testing the new Physicians Formula Eye Booster Super Slim Liquid Eyeliner in Ultra Black, and I cannot find a difference between it and the wet n wild! They visually look the same, and have the same directions. Beyond that, they apply the same. Please do yourself a favor and do not pay for the PF name! Go with the wet n wild! They do have different ingredients.
Claims: This eyeliner has a tapered brush tip that is less than 0.1mm for ultimate precision. It is formulated with the blackest of black pigments and rated for up to 16 hours of wear.

Rose Comforting Lip Color
Continuing on, we have the Rose Comforting Lip Color. These are lip balm like products that provide a sheer wash of color and shine to the lips. You will need to reapply them as desired. I can feel the oil in the formula, but I am not mad about it. Below I am wearing Taffy Daddy.
Claims: These lip colors provide a subtle wash of color in one swipe for a natural, soft, and glossy look. They will leave your lips feeling and looking radiant.

5-in-1 Essence Primer Liquid
Here is the 5-in-1 Essence Primer Liquid. I like that the cap dispenses the product in drops so there is no runny mess. It leaves your skin with a natural glow, along with hydration and a lightweight feel. There is a bit of tackiness. Makeup applies smoothly over top, but it does nothing for pores. There is normal wear and tear at the end of the day, so I will not say that it extends wear time. However, I will note that I had grease run down my chin when I was testing this primer and you could not tell! I really like pairing this with their new primer powder – they are a nice match.
Claims: This product is part primer and part skincare as it preps your skin for makeup application while also smoothing and conditioning. It has a subtle, glowy finish.

ultimatebrow Brow Maximizer Powder + Gel Duo in Medium Brown
Next for the wet n wild 2023 new products is the ultimatebrow Brow Maximizer Powder + Gel Duo in Medium Brown. I love when wet n wild tries some innovation! This dual-ended product features a brow powder with a silicone tip on one end, and a gel on the other. The powder has a bit of fallout, so I recommend tapping the tip over the tube. But, it fills the brows well. The spoolie holds so much gel, and I hope that you can see that in the picture below! One dip is enough for both brows. It absolutely locks the hairs in place all day, but the hold is firm and hard. That does not bother me.
Claims: This is a double-ended brow gel and powder duo. It is designed to fill and tame your brows to help you to achieve a dramatic full and fluffy look without weighing the hairs down.

megaglo Vitamin E Makeup Stick
Here are three new shades of megaglo Vitamin E Makeup Sticks. You might recall that the first makeup sticks (bronzer, blush, concealer, and highlighter) were released in the wet n wild 2017 new products, sans the Vitamin E part of the name. I am surprised they were not discontinued after this period of time! TikTok and Reels have caused these sticks to become popular again, so the brand is giving us two modern shades to enjoy. You can apply these with a sponge, a brush, or your fingers. They are easy to blend and to build without picking up coverage underneath, and you can control the pigment.
Claims: These sticks have a cream-to-powder formula that glide on seamlessly and blend into the skin easily with a satin finish. You can also use them on the eyes and lips.

Seeing Green Makeup Sponge
This is the Seeing Green Makeup Sponge. You already know that I love their sponges because they are soft, bouncy, and blend beautifully. This sponge is new because it is biodegradable, but still great.
Claims: This sponge is designed to be used anywhere for cream, liquid, and powder makeup. It can be used wet or dry. It features ingredients that degrade an average of 52.2% in 90 days.

5-in-1 Essence Primer + Finish Powder
Pressing on, we have the 5-in-1 Essence Primer + Finish Powder. Another innovation from the brand, they state that you can use this powder BEFORE or AFTER makeup application. It is not a cream to powder formula either. I admit, I have not tried it under makeup yet because I am afraid it will be a disaster. I know that I have to try it for science and report back. For now, here is my experience using it as a setting powder.
It sets the skin well and mattifies while never looking heavy or cakey. The formula is definitely soft and finely milled. It will allow some oil through on the t-zone, but otherwise, normal wear and tear is present. I cannot say that it extends wear time. Where this product really gets me excited is for setting the under eyes. I have under eye lines, and there is no powder, concealer, foundation, or primer that helps. I always have to bake with loose powder. This powder actually sets my lines perfectly! All I do is dip my sponge in and give a quick bounce.
A pro-tip: the barefocus Tinted Hydrator is one of those rare products that looks even better when powdered. If you wear it with the new liquid primer underneath, and set with this powder, all three work together so well! You need to try it.
Claims: This product is part makeup primer and part finishing powder, plus skincare. It can prep the skin for makeup application by smoothing and conditioning. It can also be used to set your makeup for extended wear. The powder should reduce the appearance of redness, imperfections, and shine with a touch of yellow pigment.

Breakup Proof Waterproof Boosting Mascara
Here is the Breakup Proof Waterproof Boosting Mascara. It has a bit of a dryer formula. That, paired with the wand, makes it so that I do not feel the product is gliding through my lashes from root to tip. I do see some lengthening and volume, but I would like to see more. It washes off easier than you would expect for waterproof mascara, which can be both a negative and a positive. You can pair this with their new makeup remover.
Claims: This mascara should make your lashes look fuller and longer in one swipe, with a unique wand that hugs each lash from root to tip. It is rated for 24 hour wear.

Power Trio 3-Piece Makeup Sponge Set
Last for the wet n wild 2023 new products is the Power Trio 3-Piece Makeup Sponge Set. I hate to sound like a broken record, but their sponges are worth it! I am so happy to have three sizes to enjoy, especially for under eye concealer and around the nose application. You can never have too many of their sponges!
Claims: This sponge set includes a small, medium, and large sponge that can be used just about anywhere, with the typical hydrophilic material that minimizes makeup absorption and waste.

wet n wild 2023 New Products Release Makeup Look
I am ending this wet n wild 2023 new products review with a full-face of the brand makeup look, using as many of the new products as possible. The eye look is super simple! I apply the liquid eyeshadow to the eyelid, and blend it out with a flat eyeshadow brush. I finish the look by applying bronzer in the crease. Here are all of the products that I used:
