If you have ever used a plumping gloss before, then you know they have a characteristic smell. This line does as well, but it is not as strong as some others. Also, you can rest assured that these are not painful! I have worn some tough to tolerate lip plumpers in the past. This might give you the slightest tingle for a few minutes, but nothing more.
I have thin lips, especially my upper lip, but I have to admit that any plumping that I see is minimal. The glossy shine helps to create the illusion of fuller lips anyway, which is simply the status quo for glosses. Any affects are, of course, temporary, most likely ranging from 10-30 minutes.
In terms of the gloss itself, it is incredibly shiny and juicy looking! These are not heavy or sticky, and you should re-apply as often as desired. They do feel healthy on the lips. All of these are very sheer, so if you like that, yay!

Yes I’m always afraid of the sting! These really don’t even sting, more like a short-lived tingle. I had to throw my Too Faced sample away because it hurt so bad.
