The final Play! box of 2019 is officially here. In this Play! by Sephora December 2019 review we are exploring the theme “Award Winning Beauty.” Sephora likes to do a best of the best, or award-worthy box at the end of the year. To me, this usually screams a box of repeats. I really cannot be mad about that, because it makes sense that past samples are cult-favorites that are working their way into a best of box. Hopefully, this box offers something new for me to discover. Time to start!
Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream
The first item in this Play! by Sephora December 2019 review is Living Proof’s No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream. It claims to nourish your hair while lightly conditioning for smooth, frizz free hair. You are to apply a generous amount from roots to ends onto clean, damp hair. Comb it through and you are good to go. This is a repeat from the June 2018 box.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Second is Urban Decay’s All Nighter Setting Spray. This is my holy grail and absolute favorite setting spray because it not only melts your makeup into your skin, but it actually makes your makeup last longer. It claims to have temperature adjusting technology which assists in keeping your makeup in place for 16 hour wear. I apply this stuff by completely drenching my face, but the amount that you use is up to you. This product appears in multiple past boxes.
Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream
Third is Sol de Janeiro’s Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Everyone seems to recognize the iconic scent of this cream, which really reminds me of the Physician’s Formula Butter line. It claims to smooth the skin. You are to apply it in circular motions to any part of your body. It is a light yellow cream. This is also a repeat from the June 2018 box.
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Drink H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer
Fourth is Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Drink H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer. This is a gel moisturizer that claims to soothe, refresh, plump, hydrate, and fight fine lines and free radicals. It has a fresh, clean scent and is translucent white in color. You should apply this all over the face and neck in the morning and at night.
Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink
Fifth is Bobbi Brown’s Long Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Golden Pink. This is a repeat from the March 2017 box that I have already used up, plus this is not the first time I am getting a rose gold shadow stick anyway. I know from experience that this stuff lasts all day with a creamy shine. While I only use it to highlight the brow bone and on the inner corner, I am sure that it would work well on the eyelid. Golden Pink, a rose gold hue, is perfect for daily wear.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel in Dark Brown
The last product in this Play! by Sephora December 2019 review is Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Dipbrow Gel in Dark Brown. It claims to hold your brows in place for 12 hours while providing tint and fuller-looking brows. Dark Brown looks like a good shade for me.
We are at the end of this Play! by Sephora December 2019 review. As to be expected, all but two of these products are repeats. The All Nighter Setting Spray is my jam, so I am not mad at it.
