I review new products all the time, which hardly leaves me space to talk about the products that mean the most to me. For this post I am focusing on my holy grail products in the realm of beauty. These are the products that I use almost daily or for special occasions, that stand the test of time, and are beauty game changers. Each of the products mentioned below I support 100% and I promise that they will not let you down. By the end of this post I am confident that you will be increasing your personal list of holy grails.
Suave Smoothing Lotion
First in my holy grail products is Suave’s Smoothing Lotion. I used to apply whatever lotion I had on hand and I thought my skin was just fine and had no room for improvement. After using this lotion for a few weeks, my skin was noticeably smoother and softer to the touch, and since then I have not gone back. If Suave ever discontinues this lotion, we are going to have problems. Yes, that is a threat.
Mane ‘n Tail Detangler
Second I have Mane ‘n Tails Detangler. This may sound too good to be true, but it loosens knots and tangles in a few minutes to the point that you can easily brush or comb your hair! I spray it liberally onto trouble areas, allow it to sit for a few minutes, and then brush. Out of all of the detanglers that I have tried, this is the only one that works in my opinion.
Drybar Triple Sec
Third in my holy grail products is Triple Sec by Drybar. It is a three-in-one because it acts as a texturizer, a light dry shampoo, and a volumizer. Any time I do curly or wavy hair I spray this all over instead of hair spray and my look lasts all day. It also extends my style, giving me waves for days! The best part is that it leaves your hair movable and touchably soft. I hate when sprays make your hair crunchy, sticky, and tangly. With Triple Sec you get your own hair, but with lasting style.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
Fourth is the cult-favorite All Nighter Spray from Urban Decay. Anyone that is in the makeup game uses this spray or at least wants to. I firmly believe that it holds up to it’s claims and raving reviews. All Nighter extends the wear time of your makeup while melting your look together. I pull it out for special occasions where I need to be on point all day. All I can say is, you need this setting spray.
Ouai
Rose Hair & Body Oil
Fifth in my holy grail products is an item that I talk about so much you are probably sick of it. Ouai’s Rose Hair & Body Oil is the only product that tames and controls 100% of my frizz. To apply it I separate my hair into two sections and work on each section separately. I apply some oil to the palm of my hand, rub my hands together, then I run my hands through my hair starting at the bottom and working up the shaft. My only caution is to be careful with the amount that you apply. It takes some trial and error to discover how much oil your hair needs. You will inevitably apply too much in your first few go arounds, and this stuff is strong and will make your hair look oily in a bad way. I promise that once you get it right, you will be in love. So far I have not found a dupe at a lower price.
Wave Spray
Sixth is another Ouai product- the Wave Spray. The point of this spray is to provide natural, beachy waves, similar to a sea salt spray or by scrunching with mousse. Wave Spray provides awesome beachy waves without making my hair a dry, sticky, tangled mess. It is the only beach spray that I have used does not wreak havoc with my locks. To make it work it’s best I first dampen my hair with a water spray bottle, then I generously spray my hair with Wave Spray, and liberally spray on more water. Wave Spray seems to work better with plenty of water, but your hair does not need to be fresh from the shower wet. I scrunch my hair with my hands and then let it air dry and I do not mess with it at all.
Soap & Glory Heel Genius
Next I have Heel Genius from Soap & Glory. This is a foot cream that you liberally apply at night before bed while wearing cotton socks. It works it’s magic overnight to soften the skin. My feet suffer from dry skin, especially in the winter. To get ready for sandal season I break out all of the battery operated tools that grind away dead skin. Inevitably I end up with spots that are over buffed and sting for days. With Heel Genius I can throw all of those tools away! This stuff softens my skin after one use, and works better with continued use. It softens dry, dead skin that I could only ever fix with an abrasive tool. I swear by this product.
elf Makeup Remover Pen
Continuing on with my holy grail products I have elf’s Makeup Remover Pen. A staple in my collection for countless years, it instantly fixes makeup mistakes. I primarily use it to correct eyeliner. The remover is potent and will remove layers of your makeup, but I simply pat my finger over the area or tap it with a brush and you will never know that I used the pen. After use you are to wipe the tip on a clean cloth.
wet n wild photofocus Eyeshadow Primer vs Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
Pushing on I have two eyeshadow primers- one is drugstore and the other is high end, and they are the only primers that I keep in my collection. The photofocus Eyeshadow Primer and Eyeshadow Primer Potion have a similar looking and feeling formulas, to the point that I can wear one primer on each eye and get the same results. Honestly, there is no reason to spend the big bucks on Primer Potion if you already have wet n wild’s. Both prevent your eyeshadow from creasing, fading, or moving throughout the day. I never apply eyeshadow without one of these primers.
elf Lock on Liner and Brow Cream in Medium Brown
In my list of holy grail products I have elf’s Lock on Liner and Brow Cream. This creamy pomade-like product reminds me of brownie batter (in a good way) and it has not yet dried out in the pot. I typically use it for special occasions and apply it with a small, slanted brow brush. This brow cream perfectly and easily fills my eyebrows with precision and pigment, while actually holding them in place. My brows are never crunchy, shiny, or stiff with this brow cream. For these reasons, it is my favorite brow product in my collection and a holy grail.
Loreal Elvive Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm
The final hair product that I have is Loreal’s Damage Erasing Balm. I have only used this product one time in a foil packet sample from a Walmart Favorite Box. That one use is enough to make me a firm believer. I highlight my hair with bleach every few months, and when I wash out the bleach I always use a deep conditioner. No matter what conditioner I have used, my hair always ends up feeling dry like straw for a few days. Damage Erasing Balm not only prevents the straw feeling, it leaves my hair feeling better than before the highlights. It is as if it removes years of damage and gives me new hair. Please, if your hair needs repairing, I urge you to try this balm out.
wet n wild perfectpout Gel Lip Liners
The last set of items in my list of holy grail products are wet n wild’s perfectpout Gel Lip Liners. First, the shade range offered pairs well with almost any lip color that you will apply over top. Second, the gel formula glides on silky smooth without any tugging and makes precision application easy. Third, these are fully pigmented and can be worn alone as lip color. Fourth, these liners prevent my lip color from bleeding. At the price point you will be replacing all of your lip liners with these.
In conclusion of my holy grail products, these bad boys do what they claim to do, and even go beyond expectations! Most of these products I use daily, or at least very often, and I always have back ups. For one reason or another, these products actually level up my beauty routine, and I cannot recommend them more to you. Which products are your holy grails? Are any of my products in your list? Let me know in the comments, and until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
