I still find it hard to believe that this year went by in a flash. It is already time to see what I got for Christmas 2018. I enjoy doing this series year after year because it gives me a chance to share, review, and swatch new products and old favorites. It is never my intention to show off or boast with these types of post. Remember that you do not need to read the post if you find this content to be offensive. However, I am pleased to present a variety of makeup, skin care, fashion, and more for review. If you want to see what I got, please stick around!
What I Got For Christmas 2018
Beauty Tools
Finishing Touch Flawless 2 pack replacement heads
The first gift that is part of what I got for Christmas 2018 is replacement heads to the Finishing Touch Flawless that I got last year. I know that at some point I will need to replace the head, making this a good gift to ask Santa for. Changing the heads are super easy as well.
Simple Pleasures pom pom compact mirror
The next gift in what I got for Christmas 2018 is a really fun compact mirror with a huge pom pom. I will say that the size of the pom pom defeats the purpose of the mirror being compact for your purse, but it can at least be put on display on your vanity.
Ecotools Travel Perfecting Blender
I asked for this Ecotools set to get the travel case. I really like their blending sponge, and I have the Real Techniques case. While I do not travel much, it is still good to have a case on hand.
Real Techniques 2 Miracle Remedy Sponges
These Miracle Remedy Sponges are designed to be carried in your purse for touching up your makeup throughout the day. Purple is for the eyes, and pink is for the lips and face. The handles can be removed and used as caps to protect the sponges. The sponges are to be used dry on the go.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge & Travel Case
I mentioned already that I have the Real Techniques sponge travel case, but I guess the more the merrier! It never hurts to have another Miracle Complexion sponge, either.
Real Techniques Sculpting brush
My ginormous brush collection already features the sculpting brush. But, you can never go wrong with the quality and performance of Real Techniques brushes when gifting!
Equate Beauty Gel Nail Polish Remover
I have one nail item in my what I got for Christmas 2018 collection. I am intrigued by this gel nail polish remover device not just for gel polish, but for any hard to remove manicure. This is a device that heats up liquid acetone and turn it into steam, and you stick five fingers into the holes for 10 minutes to remove the polish. It also comes with a basic nail file, but an awesome cuticle pusher! I have my own metal pusher that I got from Sally’s, but this one features ends different from mine. It will be useful in my weekly manicures, and I cannot wait to try this baby out!
Modern Expressions Beauty Station
This beauty station is from Walgreens and is excellent for the top of your vanity. It features a variety of compartments to hold an assortment of beauty essentials. It even features spaces for your phone and tablet. I would personally use those spaces for other items as I would find a way to get makeup on my electronics. I filled my station up with products as an example of how to use it, sans electronics.
iHome Vanity Speaker
I have a light up mirror that I love to death and use on the daily, but this one by iHome is tech savvy. It has a speaker in its base and can connect to your phone to play music or talk on speakerphone. The base also has a few different buttons to help control your music and phone call experience.
Makeup
Profusion Ultra Warm palette
Proceeding on with what I got for Christmas 2018 with some makeup! This Profusion palette is so easy on the eyes! Having 35 colors in this range makes me feel like a true makeup artist. I have an affection for warm eyeshadows over cool tones, and this palette speaks to me. I swatched a few stand-out colors to get a feel for the quality and pigmentation, as Profusion is sometimes hit or miss. With confidence I can say that this palette is a hit!
Profusion Blush palette
This basic blush palette features matte and shimmer shades, but mostly shimmer. I like the variety of hues. The swatches are so-so.
Profusion Sculpt palette
The sculpt palette contains highlight and contour shades. Once again the swatches are so-so, but not any worse or better than my other Profusion face palettes.
Skin Care
Danielle Acne Fighting Cleansing Cloths
Moving into skincare I have a generously sized pack of cleansing cloths from Danielle. They contain salicylic acid that will help with my minor acne issues. They claim to remove makeup, refresh, soothe inflammation, and cleanse excess oil and dirt.
No 7 Protect and Perfect Intense Advanced Duo
This duo contains a serum that is to applied to the face and neck as a first step, then a day cream. As a team they are supposed to visibly improve the appearance of deep lines and wrinkles.

Freeman The Gift of Glow Mask Kit
I must start by saying how awesome this mask gift set is! It is for sure a stand-out in what I got for Christmas 2018. Freeman so generously provided many masks in this set and in a variety of types- from clay, to peel off, to gel, you get it all. 2019 is going to be the year of face masks for sure for me. I am going to share the claims and benefits for each mask. Looking over the directions for these masks they all say to use them no more than two times per week. You may just find a new mask to try for your particular skin troubles!
Freeman Hydrating Cactus and Cloudberry Water Gel Mask
You may remember this mask from a Walmart Beauty Box unboxing, but it is an overnight leave-on mask (or you can wash it off after 10 minutes if you prefer). It claims to refresh, brighten, nourish, and hydrate.
Freeman Hydrating Glacier Water and Pink Peony Gel Cream Mask
This mask helps block out pollution while hydrating, soothing, and replenishing the skin. You are to leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse.
Freeman Brightening Green Tea and Orange Blossom Peel-Off Gel Mask
This mask claims to refine pores and improve dark spots. You are to apply an even layer, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then peel off and rinse your skin.
Freeman Revitalizing Pomegranate Peel-Off Gel Mask
This mask claims to purify, refine pores, and purge dirt and excess oils. You are to apply an even layer, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then peel off and rinse your skin.
Freeman Purifying Avocado and Oatmeal Clay Mask
I have the full-size tube of this mask and it helps a lot with my minor acne. It claims to deep clean, nourish, moisturize, and purge dirt and oils. I believe it stands up to these claims. You are to leave it on for seven to 10 minutes, but I like to wait longer until the clay fully dries. Then, rinse your skin.
Freeman Detoxifying Charcoal and Black Sugar Mud Mask
This mask claims to nourish, remove oils and toxins, moisturize, remineralize, and soften. Leave it on for seven to 10 minutes or until dry, then rinse.
Freeman Renewing Cucumber Peel-Off Gel Mask
This mask claims to refresh, clarify, rejuvenate, cool, moisturize, and smooth. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, peel, then rinse.
Freeman Clearing Sweet Tea and Lemon Peel-Off Clay Mask
This mask claims to remove impurities, tone, and add radiance. Once again, leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, peel, then rinse.
Freeman Deep Clearing Manuka Honey and Tea Tree Oil Clay Mask and Cleanser
This mask sounds like the most serious of all, and I am excited to see what it will do for my acne. It claims to deep clean, absorb oil, nourish, and purify. It can be used as a face mask or a face wash. For use as a mask, leave it on for three to five minutes, but no more than 10, then rinse. Or, simply wash your face with it.
Freeman Rejuvenating Cucumber and Pink Salt Clay Mask
This mask claims to detox, clear pores, and renew. Leave it on for seven to 10 minutes. Next, massage your face with warm water to exfoliate, then rinse the mask off.
Freeman Polishing Charcoal and Black Sugar Gel Mask and Scrub
This mask claims to detox and exfoliate. Leave it on for five to seven minutes, massage with warm water, then rinse.
Freeman Anti-Stress Dead Sea Minerals Clay Mask
The last mask in the set claims to clear pores, balance, and add radiance. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse.

Soap and Glory Make Your Smooth set
The next gift set that is part of what I got for Christmas 2018 contains two deluxe samples. The Righteous Butter is a rich body butter, or lotion for the whole body. It features Soap and Glory’s original pink scent. I have used it before and I like the way that it makes my skin feel. It definitely softens and soothes.
The Righteous Butter
Flake Away
Flake Away is a body polish, which you use in the shower to exfoliate your whole body in addition to body wash. I have used a Dove body polish sample in the past, so I have some experience here. You are to take a glob into your hands and rub the product all over your body, then rinse.
Soap and Glory Showered in Glory set
The Showered in Glory set contains four mini shower gels. I have tried three out of the four, with Foam Call being new to me. Sugar Crush is my absolute favorite because of the sweet lime scent. Clean On Me is creamy and softening for the skin, and features the original pink scent.

Soap and Glory Pamperama set
The Pamperama set is the big mama of the bunch. It contains a full-size Clean On Me. I got one last year and I remember hating the pump because it does not dispense a lot of product. I am hoping this one is better. The set also includes a full-size tub of The Righteous Butter, a glittery bath bomb, and a toweling headband which is a repeat from last year’s set. Below I will share the benefits of the masks.

The Righteous Butter
Hand Food
Original Pink Fizz-a-Ball Bath Bomb
Fluffy Toweling Headband
Bright and Beautiful Party Recovery Radiance Boosting Mask
This sheet mask claims to brighten your skin. You are to leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, then massage in the excess serum.
Puffy Eye Attack Super Hydrating Under Eye Brightening Hydrogel Patches
I have one last “mask” as part of what I got for Christmas 2018 before we move on to other topics. These under-eye patches are designed to hydrate, reduce puffiness, and brighten. The directions are a bit odd. You are to open the foil and remove the thin film. Next, place the patches on the under-eye area, then remove the second film. Finally, pat down and leave them on for 20 to 30 minutes. You are to massage the excess serum into your skin and the directions specifically mention not to rinse.
Jewelry
Time and Tru A layered necklace
It would not be a what I got for Christmas 2018 post without some accessories! This dainty layered “A” necklace is the perfect way to add some accessories to your look without going overboard. It can be paired with a t-shirt and jeans, or a more formal outfit alike.
Napier changeable necklace
Next I have a unique necklace from Napier where you can change the bejeweled ball, or mix and match.
Fashion
Wishful Park
Sheer black blouse with pearl studded shoulders
I am ending what I got for Christmas 2018 with a little bit of fashion. Upon first glance you may think this is a basic sheer black blouse, but it has pearls studded on the shoulders. These are serious studs, too. They are metal and go through the shirt securely. I do not think they will fall off. I will have fun styling this unique specimen.
Burgundy blouse with sheer knit panel
I love my burgundy, and this blouse is no exception. The sheer panel at the top features a pretty knit design, unlike one that I have seen before.
My Michelle burgundy crochet bell sleeve dress
This layered bell sleeve dress has a keyhole back and an interestingly knit fabric, almost like a lace or crochet. It’s light burgundy hue works well for the fall.
Rebecca Malone floral crochet red blouse
Next on this list is a blouse from Rebecca Malone. It can be easily dressed up or down with it’s floral crochet pattern.
No Boundaries choker neck chenille sweater
The final gift that is part of what I got for Christmas 2018 is a chenille No Boundaries sweater. It has plenty of details, including a choker neck and lace-up sleeves. Talk about warm, comfy, and stylish!
In summary, my showcase of what I got for Christmas 2018 contains a variety of top-notch products. Overall I can say that I like each item that I got and I cannot wait to dig in. I am also glad that I got to share so many new products with you all from skin care, body, makeup, and more. I hope that you found something new to try, or to at least to ask for next year! Be sure to let me know if you got any of the same gifts. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
If you enjoyed what I got for Christmas 2018, then you may like some others from previous years!
