Finally it is time for my Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review. Brandshare has the boxes an entire season behind at this point, which explains the delay of this post. I am honestly not sure if this is happening to everyone, or it is just me. I almost feel like unsubscribing and resubscribing fresh to see if that corrects the problem. Forget reaching out to customer service, you only get the runaround. Anyway, I am excited that my box is here so that I can unbox it with all of you. It has some weight and I can hear products rattling around inside. Time to begin!
Soo AE Purifying Brightening Peeling Gel
The first product in this Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review is a peeling gel. You actually massage it into your moist skin using circular motions after cleansing. Then, rinse with warm water. I imagine this product causes your skin to peel, but it does not actually state on the package. Peel products make me sort of nervous, but it does say this product is safe for sensitive skin. I am not sure if you are to use the entire package in one application. This product makes a ridiculous number of claims, so you better take a seat for this one.
- Clarifies
- Refines
- Exfoliates
- Brightens
- Unclogs pores
- Allows for skin to quickly absorb other products after use
Ecotools Color Perfecting Minis
I am highly excited to see the Color Perfecting Minis in the box because this is a full-sized pack! I use a mini sponge in my daily routine, so now I will not have to buy any for a while. These appear to be minis of Ecotools’ full-sized sponge, which I have heard only good things about. Color correcting sponges allow you to match your concealer to the sponge. This is to help you keep from mixing colors as you work with different concealers. While I have a rainbow assortment of color correctors in my collection, I tend to use the same sponge without issue. I will probably use these individually, but I appreciate the idea.
Dove Refresh + Care Volume & Fullness Dry Shampoo
Third in my Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review is a dry shampoo from Dove. It claims to instantly absorb oils to refresh hair. The directions state to shake the can well, then spray onto lifted sections about eight to 12 inches away from the roots. I have never heard of massaging the product into your roots, but it says to do that next. I think every woman should have dry shampoo in their arsenal. I am not one of the dry shampoo obsessed women, rather, I use them sparingly.
Aquaphor Ointment Body Spray
Ointment Body Spray is my first spray on lotion and the idea intrigues me. This lotion claims to relieve dry, rough skin while soothing and providing a healthy glow. The directions state to shake the can well and spray the product evenly over the skin while holding the can three to five inches away from the body. It is slightly concerning that the can warns against breathing any of it in. Spray-on lotions are always marketed as being time savers, and I can definitely handle knocking some time off of my routine.
Biore Baking Soda Acne Scrub
Next in my Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review is the Biore Baking Soda scrub, which is a repeat. But, my acne is acting up again, so this product is arriving just in time. It is a face wash that contains salicylic acid as an acne treatment. It claims to clear, control, and prevent acne, which I agree with for the most part. You are to apply it to a wet face, massage, and rinse. It does gently exfoliate while providing a mild cooling sensation as you wash to make you feel fresh and clean. It is light orange in color and smells like baking soda.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
I find the various Aveeno lotions from Walmart boxes to be pretty basic. I tend to use them as hand cream. This one claims to absorb fast and leave a powder like feel for 24 hours. It is a white lotion with no distinguishable scent.
RoC Multi Correxion 5 in 1 Chest, Neck, & Face Cream
The name of this cream only lets me know that I should put it on my face, neck, and chest, but I have no idea for what purpose. The back of the bottle only mentions that it contains sunscreen and how often it should be applied during sun exposure. I have to go on RoC’s website to find out what this product is supposed to accomplish. The website talks more about the chest and neck than the face, so I will probably skip face application. This product claims to visibly smooth fine lines in four weeks, while boosting radiance, hydrating, and restoring elasticity and firmness. It has a nice perfumed scent that is not overbearing.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Yogurt Body Wash
The final product in this Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review is a body wash. It contains vanilla and oatmeal, and has a delicious vanilla scent. It claims to cleanse, nourish, and moisturize while being safe for daily use and for shaving. The color of the body wash matches the color of the bottle.
My closing thoughts on this Walmart Beauty Box Winter 2018 review are that I am pleased and I think the box is a good value. I have eight products total and they are all full-sized or deluxe/travel sized samples. The value of the box definitely trumps the $5 spent on shipping. I can see, for the most part, how these products are helpful in the winter. My favorite product is the pack of Ecotools sponges. My only complaint, which is really an ongoing issue is that the box should include a sheet that mentions the benefits of each product. Other than that, get your act together Brandshare with the timeline. Are you getting this box? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
