I am now curious after receiving an email about the Walmart Award-Worthy Beauty Box release. When Walmart releases special, limited boxes, they always let you see the contents before purchase. In reading through the list, I think it is a very nice lineup for a box of free samples. This box is $5.00, which is the same price as the subscription boxes. The theme of this box is a collection of products that I would imagine are hot at the drugstore right now, or at least should be. Walmart and Brandshare are working with InStyle magazine to compile the box. This box definitely contains products that I am interested in trying. Without further ado, it is time to open the box.
Crest 3D White Whitening Therapy Toothpaste
The first product in the Walmart Award-Worthy Beauty Box is a whitening toothpaste. Whitening toothpastes get a bad rap for making your teeth and gums sensitive, and overall having harmful effects. This toothpaste claims to have enamel protection and also anti-cavity ingredients. When you actually squeeze the tube you can feel that you do not get much. We will see if I even notice any results. The toothpaste is white and somewhat minty, and it is my first official whitening toothpaste.
Pantene Foam Conditioner Sheer Volume
I am super pumped to try out a foam conditioner! The can really does not make any claims. I imagine “Sheer Volume” means I should end up with voluminous hair by using this product, which I doubt. The directions state to shake well and dispense a palm-sized amount into your hand. Apply and rinse just like normal conditioner. The formula is supposed to be lightweight.
Olay Microscrubbing Cleansing Infusion Hydrating Glow Body Wash in Crushed Ginger
This body wash smells really good! The ginger is totally there, but it also smells like there is something fruity in the background. It claims to be more than a basic body wash, with the statement that it improves your skin’s condition with each wash. The body wash itself is a light yellow color and looks creamy.
Found Coconut Sheet Mask
I am not the world’s biggest fan of sheet masks, but I will definitely give this one a try. This coconut mask makes plenty of claims. It is supposed to brighten your skin tone, provide radiance, hydrate, and soften. The directions state to use the mask after washing your face and to leave it on for 10-20 minutes. After removing the mask you are to massage the excess serum into your skin rather than washing it away.
Secret Clinical Strength Smooth Solid in Light and Fresh
Secret Clinical Strength is a pricy deodorant, and this is a great way for me to finally try it. As I get older I definitely struggle with stress sweat and overall sweating more than what I feel is normal. I think this deodorant is exactly what I need because it is supposed to help control sweat due to heat, activity, and stress. It has a powder scent that is fresh and clean.
Olay Regenerist Whip
The final product in the Walmart Award-Worthy Beauty is a facial moisturizer. Fun fact- the full size retails for $29.99 and it is a drugstore product! The whip claims to be lightweight which enables it to absorb quickly, yet still allow your skin to breathe. It goes beyond your typical moisturizer to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles, while drying to a matte finish. I feel like part of using moisturizer is to get that healthy, dewy glow look, so a matte finish is an odd choice. The product honestly smells like shampoo, or something with a light, fruity scent.
My final thought surrounding the Walmart Award-Worthy Beauty Box is that I think the products are not only worth the price, but worth testing out. I like that the box really covers all areas of bodily care- from face, hair, teeth, and odor. I do recommend giving this box a try. Will you be trying any of the products in this box or be picking up this box for yourself? Do not forget to let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
