These new balms are definitely easier to apply than the former, due to the slanted applicator and thredded cap. The tube design is easy to squeeze and to grip, which is great for those with arthritus or other conditions.
As already stated, the flavors are highly pleasing and do not strike me as artificial or over-the-top. The sheer wash of color is lovely on the lips, paired with a juicy shine that is a bit more glowy than your standard balm. They are thicker and feel like a lip mask, yet they stay lightwieght and comfortable. They are not sticky.
While the small tubes are great for travel, they each come 3/4 of the way filled. That means you will use these balms up faster than what you are used to, resulting in more frequent repurchases. The $4 price point is not bad in comparison.
