I am very excited to share my Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2017 review with you, because this box feels like a winner! The box itself is thick, and has a lid like a shoe box. I can feel the heavy products moving around inside of the box. It is time to take the cellophane off and take a peek inside.
Schwarzkopf Gliss Ultra Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner
Here we have a shampoo and conditioner duo for dry, stressed hair. I am sure I can benefit by using it on my bleached hair! There are no directions on the packages, so I assume that general directions apply. They are both white and smell like they have a fruity undertone.
Rimmel Stay Matte Lightweight Liquid Mousse Foundation in 200 Beige
I tend to frown on foundation samples because they are never a shade match, I am not “beige” in anything. This foundation claims to be a lightweight mousse that blends into the skin easily for a natural look. It is also supposed to reduce the appearance of pores. I sure hope this packet contains enough for a one-time use!
Dove Advanced Care Cool Essentials
This deodorant should look familiar from the Fall 2016 box. I am not complaining though, because I really like it! It just has a fresh, clean scent that I enjoy while effectively controlling body odor.
Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Moisturizing Conditioner
According to the package, there is a matching shampoo for this product, but I do not have it. Either way, I am pumped to try the conditioner because my hair is naturally frizzy. This conditioner is supposed to replenish moisture and eliminate frizz by creating a barrier that locks in hydration. Standard conditioner directions apply. The product is translucent white and smells like your typical perfumed conditioner.
Biore Baking Soda Acne Scrub
I do have problems with acne, so I am always up for trying out a new product. Biore’s Baking Soda Acne Scrub is a salicylic acid acne treatment made with baking soda. To apply it you wet your face, massage the product all over, and rinse. I assume that it is safe for everyday use, as the package does not state otherwise. It is supposed to clear up and prevent acne. The product is white with orange flecks. It obviously smells like baking soda, but I also think it has a citrus thing going on. Maybe it’s just in my head from seeing the orange flecks.
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Lip Shine in Radiant Rose
This product has a rather large and flat doe-foot applicator, which makes it hard to remove and replace from the package. I really have to pull on it to get it out, and push it back in. The neutral pink color is very sheer. You should probably layer it over another lip color, or wear it alone for a more natural look. This product states that it will make your lips look and feel hydrated for 24 hours.
Colgate Optic White Radiant in Icy Mint
This is a whitening toothpaste with general anti-cavity protection. The box says that I may have some discomfort for a few days due to the whitening ingredients. I am interested to see if anything noticeable happens to my teeth. This toothpaste is white and smells incredibly minty.
This box definitely leans more toward the haircare side, which is ok, but I want to see more variety, especially dipping into nails and makeup. As usual, I appreciate the sizes of these samples, being as that they are free. Do you subscribe to this box? Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
