Haus Labs Review, Swatches, Looks

If you have not caught on based upon the banner of this blog, I am a huge Lady Gaga fan! As a busy beauty blogger, I simply cannot try every brand, even Lady Gaga makeup. They finally had a sale that was too good to pass up, so I decided to do a haul. This Haus Labs review covers a wide range of items so that you can make an informed purchase decision. I am swatching everything with complete details, plus I have four makeup looks focusing on these items. Here I am aiming for shades that will work best on my fair skin, this way I can use the products daily and really get my monies worth.

Haus Labs Review, Products, Swatches

My order came with the below star face stickers for free!

Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon in Exotica

First in this Haus Labs review is the Le Monster Matte Lip Crayon in Exotica. This has full-coverage, high impact color in one swipe. The formula is creamy and glides on easily. You will get an instant matte finish, but this is not the type of product that dries down. So, there will be minimal transfer. I often times find orange shades to be temperamental, and this one does get dry looking on the lips rather fast. I do want to try other shades before I completely count this product out, but so far, I have tried better matte lip crayons.

Heat Spell Bronzer + Highlighter Duo in Savannah/Sun

Second for Haus makeup is the Heat Spell Bronzer + Highlighter Duo in Savannah/Sun. The bronzer is the perfect everyday tone for fair skin, and you have complete control over building it up and the intensity. Likewise with the highlighter, you can really glow with it! You can feel how velvety smooth and soft the powders are. This duo is an A+ from me.

Head Rush Blush + Highlighter Duo in Bouquet/Ribbon

Third from Haus beauty is the Head Rush Blush + Highlighter Duo in Bouquet/Ribbon. The quality of this is just like the bronzer/highlighter duo, so pardon the repeat. You can build both the blush and highlighter up, and get striking results. Again, the powders are like velvet. Another win!

Glam Room Palette No. 1: Fame

Fourth from Lady Gaga cosmetics is the Glam Room Palette No. 1: Fame. It features 10 shades with the names on the back of the palette, in mattes, shimmers, and metallics. This definitely has the quality of a high-end palette. You can easily blend and build the shades. This palette includes suitable base and crease shades. Plus, this color range really hits daytime and nighttime looks, with an interesting range that can be appreciated daily.

Haus Labs Glam Room Palette No. 1: Fame Shades
Cake Applause Curtain Call Contort Scotch
Spotlight Cameo Shimmy Slipper Room Top Hat

Four-Way Shadow Palette in 4 Sunset

Fifth in this Haus Labs review is the Four-Way Shadow Palette in 4 Sunset. The quality of this mini palette does not compare to that of the full-size above. The two shimmer shades are difficult to pick up with your brush and to work with, while the mattes are much better. I have not tried the other quads, so I am not sure if the other formulas are inconsistent. Also, there is not much variance between the shades, which is critical when you only have four options to make a complete look. Some of the other quads have more variance, and some do not. I recommend sticking to the large format palettes.

Eye-Definity Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Aura

Next in the Lady Gaga makeup line is the Eye-Definity Gel Pencil Eyeliner in Aura. I have an attraction to white liners, and usually they are lackluster. The most common problem is a lack of pigment that is patchy. You can see that this liner is full-coverage white in a flash. The formula is creamy and it glides right on without tugging or pulling. This is the only item I have not yet tested on the face, but the swatch results are super promising.

The Edge Precision Brow Pencil in Dark Brown

Here is The Edge Precision Brow Pencil in Dark Brown. This micro brow pencil creates realistic, hair-like strokes easily. I appreciate that the formula is not stiff or waxy, so it glides right on. To be honest, every brand has their own micro pencil, and so many can be found at the drugstore from $5 or less. That is why I do not spring for a high-end pencil. Is this good? Yes. Can you get the same results anywhere else? Yes.

Casa Gaga La Collezione

Tutti Gel-Powder All Over Rouge in Spritz

Pressing on with the Haus Labortories review is the entire Casa Gaga La Collezione. It comes with a zipper train case that starts with the Tutti Gel-Powder All Over Rouge in Spritz. This has a cream to powder formula that you can apply with your fingers or a brush. You can easily build the pigment, plus it gives a nice glow. This formula is super long lasting, which is exactly what I think of when it comes to celebrity makeup! This is great for those with long days out in the heat or under hot lights performing.

La Luce Lip Glaze in Maraschino

The kit also includes the La Luce Lip Glaze in Maraschino. This is a super metallic and pigmented lip gloss. With that being said, you can feel the sticky product on your lips, as it is not the most lightweight. It does look striking at first, but it will transfer quickly. Plus, the pigment gathers at the edges of the lips creating a line. This is definitely not a necessary to have item.

Tutti Gel-Powder Highlighter

Much like the blush, the Tutti Gel-Powder Highlighter is a cream to powder formula that can be applied with a brush or your fingers. You will also find this to be long lasting. The shade is a hint too dark for fair skin, and it is most noticeable on the nose. Otherwise, I can swing this. You can get a really striking, celebrity glow!

Italian Glam Highlighter Brush

The Italian Glam Highlighter Brush is shaped like many other brushes on the market, so there is no particular reason that you need this one. Personally, this is my favorite shape for highlighter application. This brush is of excellent quality, plus the gold handle is beautiful.

Liquid Eye-Lie-Ner in Punk

The set also includes their signature Liquid Eye-Lie-Ner in Punk, but it has limited-edition gold packaging. This is a basic felt tip liner that produces a matte black line. You will find this easy to control. This is not special over any other liner, and you can enjoy plenty of drugstore felt tip liners that work just as good.

Tanti Baci Extreme Cream Mini Lipstick Set

The set ends with a small zippered makeup bag that contains the Tanti Baci Extreme Cream Mini Lipstick Set. These lipsticks come in core colors and feature a silk finish with a fair amount of shine. You can build the pigment up easily to medium-full. They do transfer easily, which surprises me given these are a red carpet pick for Lady Gaga. I expected a stronger formula here.

Haus of Rose B*tch

Last in this Haus Labs review is the Haus of Rose B*tch set. You get three items contained in a snap clutch that we are going to dive into now.

Glam Attack Liquid Shimmer Powder in Rose B*tch

This is one of their many liquid eyeshadow shades, known as Glam Attack Liquid Shimmer Powder in Rose B*tch. It has the most lovely mauve tone, and the shimmer almost gives your lids a wet look. The shimmer lasts all day, and the color is impactful. These are easy to blend and to work with before they dry. I do find that the formula never dries down 100% and there is some tacky feel, which annoys me during the day. Because of this, the formula does travel into and above the crease, while it also creases. Honestly, you can get a better performing formula by checking out the elf liquid eyeshadows.

Rip Lip Liner in Drag

The Rip Lip Liner in Drag is a basic liner pencil. I must say, the classic pencil wood smell is kind of nice! This is the perfect mauve shade that glides over the lips without tugging. Again, I am sure the drugstore offers a great alternative, as this is nothing new or unique.

Le Riot Lip Gloss in Entranced

The set ends with the Le Riot Lip Gloss in Entranced, which is a clear hue with fine pink shimmer. The applicator has a unique shape. As for the formula, it is like any other lip gloss. The shine is nice and this is not sticky or heavy. You will need to re-apply as needed. Again, this is not a new innovation.

Haus Beauty Looks

I am topping the Haus Labs review off with four makeup looks! I am putting the focus on the Haus items that I used, as the brand does not offer primers, foundation, etc. My goal here is to use as much from this post as possible.

Orange Queen

This first look focuses on a warm, orange look. Here are the products used:

To recreate the eye look, start by applying Sunkissed to the crease, and along the lower lash line. Next, apply Happy Hour to the eyelid. Then, apply Aperitif to the outer-v and outer-third of the eye, and connect that down to the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Babewatch.

Italian Glam

I adore this everyday glam eye look with the Fame palette! The shimmer on the lid is so striking. Here are the products used:

To recreate the eyeshadow look, start by setting the eyelid with Cake. Next, apply Curtain Call in the crease and along the lower lash line. Then, apply Spotlight to the inner third of the eyelid, Applause in the middle, and Contort to the outer corner. Also, connect Contort down to the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Spotlight.

15 Seconds of Fame

Now I am playing with more of the color range of the Fame palette. Here are the products used:

To recreate the eyeshadow look, start by setting the eyelid with Cake. Next, apply Cameo high in the crease and along the lower lash line. Deepen the crease with Contort, and also apply that along the lower lash line, closer to the lashes. Then, apply Shimmy to the eyelid, followed by Slipper Room in the outer corner. Deepen the outer corner with just a touch of Top Hat. Connect the outer corner to the lower lash line with a combination of Slipper Room and Top Hat. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with Spotlight.

Rose B*itch

A monotone mauve makeup look? Sign me up! I did not provide eye look directions because I am only wearing the liquid eyeshadow on the eyelid, then the eyeliner pen. Here are the products used:

Conclusion

In summary of this Haus Labs review, a good majority of these items are nothing new to the beauty world. You can easily find items from the drugstore that will provide the same results. As for the other reviews, there are a few nice-to-have items that will add a touch of life to your collection. The Fame palette definitely makes me want to try her other large eyeshadow palettes, and the Casa Gaga cheek items really hit the spot. Maybe it is just me, but celebrity brands make me want to see super high-quality long lasting items that should survive the red carpet. After all, you see the celebs wearing their brands. Haus Labs is good, but lost in the sea of the other celeb brands. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
