I am probably the last influencer to do a Believe Beauty review, but here it is! I have always had a curiosity about the brand, and some clearance finds prompted me to finally give it a go. Over the years I have heard many good reviews specifically on the foundation. I grabbed enough products to do a full face look of the brand, while giving you a comprehensive review. Together we will determine if the brand is worth it. Unfortunately, you need to purchase these items in Dollar General stores. There is slim to nothing when it comes to online options, so I cannot provide links. Also, not all products have published claims.
Believe Beauty Makeup Reviews
Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Charmed
First in this Believe Beauty review is their Velvet Matte Lipstick in Charmed. It apples with full-coverage in one swipe, and dries down to be completely matte in minutes. The formula does not dry out the lips, so there is no flaking. In the look below I should have exfoliated my lips prior to applying this, which is my error. This product feels comfortable on the lips, almost as if it is not matte or dried down. It has little to no transfer and lasts well all day. You can layer this to re-apply if you need to. This brown tone is great for fall, but I want more colors!
Claims: This liquid lipstick should be comfortable, creamy, lightweight, and full coverage.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Perfect Glow Highlighting Stick in Pixie
Second for Believe Beauty products is the Perfect Glow Highlighting Stick in Pixie. This is the lightest shade that I could find, and it just squeaks by for working on fair skin. I find that this picks up and removes coverage from foundation underneath. If you apply it with a brush or a sponge, you can lessen that effect, but not fully prevent it. This appears to be more on the glitter side. Overall, I am not impressed. Go with the wet n wild version of this stick!

Rating: 3 out of 5.You’re Covered Liquid Concealer in Pearl
Third for Believe Beauty makeup reviews is the You’re Covered Concealer in Pearl. I contest the claim that this has high pigmentation. This features buildable light to medium coverage that is more on the sheer side. I do like the tiny doe foot applicator. It has a natural finish that matches the overall finish of your makeup and it looks skin-like.
Claims: This is a highly-pigmented concealer that brightens with natural coverage.

Rating: 4 out of 5.Pretty and Primed Stay-Put Makeup Primer
Fourth is the Believe Beauty Pretty and Primed Stay-Put Makeup Primer. The texture feels like lotion, but without the grease. It leaves your skin feeling smooth but not tacky, with minimal pore filling. As I will keep saying, it has a natural finish (not dewy or matte). Makeup applies normally over top. During the day it allows a minimal amount of oil to come through on the t-zone. I do see wear and tear that is normal on my skin, which includes makeup breaking down on my chin and upper lip. However, there was less separation in those areas. This does not extend the wear time of makeup. If you are looking for a true makeup extending primer, you MUST read my Alix Avien review!
Claims: This primer should leave the face fresh and smooth to keep makeup in place.

Rating: 4 out of 5.Skin Finish Foundation in Delicate Ivory
Fifth in this Believe Beauty review is the Skin Finish Foundation in Delicate Ivory. I love the glass bottle and gold pump! Standard foundation contains 1 fluid ounce of product, but this falls short at .85. It has a buildable medium to full coverage finish that is skin-like. Again, it has a natural finish. I see normal wear and tear, but it does not break down on my chin or upper lip! It allows little to no oil through and ultimately holds up well. The hype that you might hear in another Believe Beauty foundation review is true!
Claims: This is a medium to full coverage foundation that blends effortlessly for a flawless look. It should also smooth and blur imperfections.

Rating: 5 out of 5.In The Tropics Bronzing Powder in Hawaiian Glow
Next is the In The Tropics Bronzing Powder in Hawaiian Glow. This is a good shade for fair skin. It has buildable pigment that is not orange or muddy. It is a soft powder with a matte finish.
Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.Born to Blush in Wink
Here is the Born to Blush in Wink. I know it looks like a wild shade, but it is easy to control. The pigment is buildable and soft with a matte finish.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Luminizing Glow Trio in On Cloud Nine
This is the Luminizing Glow Trio in On Cloud Nine. The powders in this palette feel very soft and buttery. You can build them up to your desired intensity. They do not emphasize texture, but this is not a glittery or a wet look. This is more of a natural luminosity that I imagine you would get from an Hourglass product, although I have not tried them. Usually highlighter palettes have some shades that I cannot wear on fair skin, but I can rock all of these.

Rating: 5 out of 5.High Drama Fiber Mascara
Continuing on, this is the High Drama Fiber Mascara. For anyone that is terrified of fibers, I do not see any in the formula itself. The skinny wand does a good job of grabbing and coating each lash. I see separation and length, but not much volume to speak of. This is not the best or the worst.
Claims: This mascara should provide instant fullness with a false lash effect, along with length and volume.

Rating: 4 out of 5.Long Lasting Lip Liner in Barely There
Next in this Believe Beauty review is the Long Lasting Lip Liner in Barely There. This brand does a great job with their pencil formulas! This is so creamy and glides right on without tugging or skipping. It really feels like gel. The finish is matte and full coverage, yet it feels comfortable on the lips. I need more colors!
Claims: This is a moisturizing lip liner that should be creamy with a smooth glide. The color is bold, yet the lines are clean.
Rating:

Rating: 5 out of 5.Brow Defining Pencil in Dark Brown
Here is the Brow Defining Pencil in Dark Brown. This also has a creamy formula that glides right on without tugging or skipping, that again feels like gel. You will have to sharpen the plastic on this, as it does not twist up. The tip is too big to get hair like strokes, but it does fill well. Since this is so creamy, the included spoolie really blends it all out like butter. I would love to see this formula done in a micro tip! Dark Brown is very dark.
Claims: This brow pencil should be creamy, smooth, and add definition.

Rating: 4 out of 5.Long Lasting Eyeliner in Caviar
This is the Long Lasting Eyeliner in Caviar. Yet again we have that super creamy, gel-like formula that glides on without skipping or tugging. This would be beautiful to smudge! It is matte black, full coverage, and lasts. It even holds up amazing on the water line. Let me just say I was a bit… emotional…. the day that I tested this, and it held up.
Claims: This creamy eyeliner glides on easily with a defined line, or you can smudge it.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer in Light/Medium
Continuing on is the Brighten Up Color Correcting Concealer in Light/Medium. Peach concealers are an amazing way for fair skin makeup wearers to cancel out under eye darkness! This one has a dry matte formula that dries down fast. But, do not fear! I recommend applying this with a brush, then pressing it into the skin with a damp sponge. That allows you to work with it, and eliminates the dry look to give you a skin-like finish. This does not have any light reflecting properties, so it does not brighten. Makeup applies normally over top.
Claims: This concealer should enhance and brighten the under eye to disguise discoloration. It should be creamy and blendable.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Jetsetter Mani Nail Polish in It’s a Long Shot
Are you curious about Believe Beauty nail polish? I tested out their Jetsetter Mani Nail Polish in It’s a Long Shot. This is a super dark brown shade with a touch of red. It needs two coats to be full coverage, and it is very shiny. It has a brush that spreads out and is soft, which is my favorite kind. The claim that one coat is all you need is not true. Overall, this looks and wears like any other standard nail polish, and I approve.
Claims: You should get full coverage color in one swipe.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Satin Crush Lipstick
Pressing on with this Believe Beauty review is two shades of Satin Crush Lipstick. As the name implies, it has a satin finish with full coverage pigment in one swipe. It is creamy and glides right on with a moisturizing feel. This will transfer just like any other satin lipstick, but I really like it. Dare I say I like it more than elf Srsly Satin Lipstick, and I keep wearing these.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Soft Rose
Vintage Romance
Eyebrow Styling Gel in Dark Brown
Here is the Eyebrow Styling Gel in Dark Brown. Again, this is very dark in hue. It leaves the eyebrows with a shiny finish, but the hold is firm and flexible. The spoolie is tiny like many other gels. However, this formula is highly wet. I use gels virtually every day, and this made a complete mess around my eyebrows! I never clean up with concealer, but I had to for the first time. I tried this again being extra careful, and it made less mess but it is not perfect. The wet formula simply “flicks” onto the skin causing unnecessary cleanup. I recommend trying the clear version.
Claims: This brow gel should adhere to the hairs to make a naturally shaped, defined brow. They should look fuller and fluffier.

Rating: 2 out of 5.Master at Matte Makeup Setting Spray
This is the Master at Matte Makeup Setting Spray. It does have a matte finish and a fine mist that sets everything well. However, it does not extend wear time. It allows a minimal amount of oil and shine to come through on the t-zone, but it is not too bad.
Claims: This spray is weightless and holds makeup in place to reduce shine with a matte look.

Rating: 4 out of 5.Eyeshadow Palette in Love Struck
If you want to talk about the best Believe Beauty products, you cannot look past their eyeshadow palettes! This is the Eyeshadow Palette in Love Struck. There is very little kick up in the pan, or fallout on the face. None of the shades are patchy or chalky. They feature buildable pigment that is soft and velvety. The shimmers are stunning wet or dry! I cannot stress enough that these apply so blurred on the eyes as if they blend themselves.
Claims: These eyeshadows should have high pigmentation while being smooth and blendable.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Matte Blur Loose Powder in Translucent
Last in this Believe Beauty review is their Matte Blur Loose Powder in Translucent. The powder is finely milled and sets everything completely with a matte finish. It gives you a soft focus effect, and it bakes well. I did get shiny in the t-zone with it, as it allows some oils through. But, makeup does not break down. Also, I did not get the weird wearing off effect on my chin or upper lip.
Claims: This powder should be lightweight and blend effortlessly to reduce shine. It features a natural look to blur imperfections.

Rating: 5 out of 5.Believe Beauty Makeup Look
Get excited for this full face of Believe Beauty look! I am wearing nearly everything featured in this blog post. For the lips I went with the Satin Crush Lipstick in Soft Rose. I used the highlight palette instead of the stick.
The eyeshadow palette does not have shade names, but I will refer to it by number. To begin, apply shade four to the crease. Next, apply shade three to the eyelid. Then, apply shade five to the outer corner, and along the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with shade one.

Conclusion
In summary of this Believe Beauty review, the brand is worth it! I want to go back and get more shades of the lip products, pencils, and nail polishes. The foundation is awesome, and the highlighter palette acts like high end. With inflation it is hard to find drugstore makeup as cheaply priced as this brand. If you find yourself in a pinch at Dollar General, this is the brand to go with. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Believe Beauty Foundation is NOT a clean product. It contains cetyl peg/ppg-10/1 dimethicone, dimethicone, tocopheryl acetate, talc and titanium dioxide. Toxic ingredients!
Believe Beauty Lip Gloss is fantastic! That is probably why Dollar General runs out. I have used every brand including the expensive name brand and none can compare. Thankfully, there are 3 Dollar Generals in my area, so if one location is out, I go to the next.
Thank you for this detailed review! I appreciate the honesty about the products you didn’t love. I’ve seen some “all-positive” reviews of this product line (i.e., saying all the products are awesome, no complaints) and I’m often skeptical of those. Realistically, even my favorite brands have some products that I don’t love.
One note of caution about “clean” products. There’s no industry-wide definition of what that means. Generally it means avoiding certain ingredients, but the list might vary slightly between brands/stores. Some companies (e.g., Target, Ulta, and a few others) publish their full “Made Without” list on their websites, but many do not. Hopefully this will become standard practice.
An earlier comment claimed that certain ingredients are “toxic”, even though many of them are completely safe for topical use (e.g., tocopheryl acetate is vitamin E.). Talc is a legitimate concern though.
I’m trying to purchase Believe Beauty loose powder. Can someone help me? Thanks!
Hi Lisa! The powder is available in Dollar General stores. I’ve never been to one that doesn’t sell the powder!
