You know it is a good day in Walmart clearance land when you find $15+ makeup marked down to $7! That is the best time to test products out. With that being said, what is makeup that expensive doing in Walmart in the first place?! I am getting my hands on a selection of Isabel Bedoya beauty items, which is the the perfect opportunity to do a Bedoya Beauty review. She is a YouTube influencer, and Walmart has been featuring influencer makeup brands both online and in-store. As a part of this review I have swatches, star ratings, and a full-face drugstore makeup look. I will help you determine if the high price is worth it.

Bedoya Beauty Walmart: Where to Buy

Before I get into the Bedoya Beauty review, I want to give more details about where you can buy the brand. Your options are Bedoya Beauty’s website, or Walmart. For another Walmart exclusive brand (but not from an influencer), do not miss my Carter Beauty Cosmetics review.

Bedoya Beauty Prism Highlight

The first items in this Bedoya Beauty review are the Bedoya Beauty Prism Highlights. It features a unique formula that feels like a cream and a powder at the same time. This fact was not known to me before application, so I went in with a brush as if it was a powder. It caused the coverage of my foundation to lift, and the foundation color was being deposited into the product in the pan. I recommend using your fingers to apply these. The top layer does contain a bit of overspray. They lean more on the glittery side of highlights versus metallic, but you can build the formula up. Euphoria is perfect for fair skin, while Honey is pretty much too dark, and there is no way that I can wear By Malibu. Once you use these correctly, they are ok.

Claims: The Bedoya Beauty Prism Highlight formula combines the power of powder, liquid, baked, and cream to provide radiance. The finish is pearl with a luminous glow to instantly brighten.

Bedoya Beauty Prism Lipstick

Second is a selection from the Bedoya Beauty Prism Lipstick line. There are five shades in the line, but I have three. I find the finish to be satin, sort of like the elf Srsly Satin Lipstick line. The product glides right onto the lips with immediate full coverage. They will transfer, but are comfortable to wear. I can make them last with careful eating and drinking. Ultimately, they are not any better or worse than so many other lipsticks at the drugstore. There is nothing special about them.

While the packagings seems super cool, it is important to mention that it is bulky, so it will take up more space in your storage. Plus, these lipsticks cannot stand on their own. However, you can remove the bullet from the packaging for easier use. The packaging is also very cheap. The adhesive sheet of jewels is peeling off.

State of Nature is a red-toned brown, while Cherry on Top is red, and Fine Wine is a deep burgundy.

Claims: The Bedoya Beauty Lipstick should have full-on color due to high-octane pigments. The shades are universal to compliment all skin tones.

Rating: ★★★★☆

Bedoya Beauty Prism Palette in Miss Spice

The last item in this Bedoya Beauty review is a Bedoya Beauty Prism Palette in Miss Spice. There are three total palettes. You will notice that it has the same jeweled packaging as the highlights. It looks cool from a distance, but pretty cheap up close.

Seeing these large pans is super unique for a palette. However, the formula is incredibly powdery. I can see it flying everywhere in application, plus there is a lot of kick-up in the pan. The pigment does require building, but ultimately it is somewhat lackluster. At least everything blends well and there are no patchy issues. You could potentially blend some of the pigment away. Ultimately, this is a cheap palette.

Claims: These eyeshadow palettes should have four rich, blendable shades.

Walmart Makeup Look Featuring Bedoya Beauty

I am ending this Bedoya Beauty review with a makeup look of products that you can find either in-store or online at Walmart. Since this brand is exclusive to Walmart, it only makes sense to go this route. Of course, it features as many Isabel Bedoya makeup products as possible.

To recreate this eye look, I will describe the shades as one through four, since there are no shade names. Start by applying shade two to the crease, and bring it down below the eye. Next, apply shade three to the eyelid and to the entire lower lash line. Then, apply shade four to the outer-v. Also bring some of shade four along the lower lash line close to the lashes to connect to the outer-v. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with shade one.

Conclusion

In conclusion of this Bedoya Beauty review, I do not desire to purchase any other products from this brand. These items are cheap in terms of quality and packaging. If an influencer reviewed these, they would feel the same way. That is what burns when they turn around and give us lackluster products that they would hate using personally. It gives a vibe that they only want our money and do not really care, especially with the high price point of these items. Also, the only lettering on the product packaging is “Bedoya Beauty.” There are no shade names, product names, or anything. How on earth would you know which lipstick shade you are using, for example?! I say, pass on these and save your money, unless you can find them on clearance and really want to give them a try. This is a prime example of why you should check out some Bedoya Beauty reviews first. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
