I am beyond blessed that Strip Makeup sent me nearly all of their products, with the exception of their disposable wipes. I am absolutely passionate about testing products for you, as well as opening your eyes to a brand you may not have been previously familiar with. In this Strip Makeup review I will be covering the claims, directions, and performance of their products as we learn about this luxury makeup remover brand.

Strip Makeup Review

Before I start the reviews, I am jumping in to share that the brand states you should alternate between their two cleansers every three days. Cycling them encourages keeping your skin balanced and your microbiome healthy. They make a great addition to your daily skincare routine. The glass jars contain a generous amount of product for about two months of daily use.

Strip Makeup Whipped Coconut Makeup Remover

First in this Strip Makeup review is their Whipped Coconut Makeup Remover. This is a nutrient rich cleanser that extends beyond just a makeup remover. It is designed to support your skin’s microbiome as it delivers vitamins and micronutrients to increase circulation, rehydrate the skin, and to boost collagen production. The oil-based formula should melt away makeup, but continued use can plump, soften, and even your complexion.

This product can be used in the morning or night as your first step of a double cleansing routine, or on its own. Simply massage it over the skin and rinse it away. You may use this with their reusable wipes.

Here are the key ingredients:

  • Coconut oil: locks-in moisture and hydration
  • Mango seed butter: increases moisture retention and revitalizes skin with Vitamin A and essential fatty acids
  • Shea butter: soothes, softens, and strengthens the moisture barrier with Vitamin E
  • Ginseng root: increases circulation, replenishes micronutrients, and supports collagen production
  • White tea extract: protects against oxidative stress

What I like about this cleanser is that the oil-based formula is great for removing stubborn, waterproof makeup. It does not leave the skin feeling dry or stripped, yet it effectively removes all product with virtually no residue left behind. I can feel the light hydration. The formula is luxurious and rich. Overall, it is easy to use and non-messy. I do have one important note. The jar states it can be used for eye makeup removal, but their website mentions to use this cleanser with their reusable wipes to ensure you do not get it in your eyes. I did use it for eye makeup removal, and it burned my eyes. I do not recommend using this product for eye makeup removal, rather, you should use their reusable wipes with plain water.

Strip Makeup Caviar Jelly Makeup Remover

Second in this makeup remover review is the Strip Makeup Caviar Jelly Makeup Remover. It is designed to balance your skin’s pH and to restore a healthy microbiome. It should plump, hydrate, brighten, tighten, refresh, and rejuvenate with 2-in-1 anti-aging effects. You can effortlessly remove all traces of makeup with it, but you should enlist the help of their reusable wipes for waterproof eye makeup.

The formula contains two phases. Phase one is a lightweight, clear gel cleanser that sweeps away dirt, oils, and makeup. Phase two are caviar bubbles that break down as you massage them over the skin. They deliver nutrient-rich ingredients to the skin.

A scooper is included to grab the right amount of product to massage over your skin and rinse. Again, you may use their reusable wipes with this product.

Here are the key ingredients:

  • Prebiotic-enriched Rosaliss Active Complex: plumps and fills fine lines as it replenishes your microbiome
  • Acai berry extract: revives dull skin, adds vibrancy, and balances pH
  • Pomegranate extract: supports collagen production
  • Vitamin A: promotes new skin cell and collagen production while reducing the appearance of fine lines
  • Vitamin C: balances pH
  • Hyaluronic acid: locks in moisture

While this is not an oil-based makeup remover, it still effectively removes a full face of makeup (and matte lip color) with virtually no residue left behind. If you are dealing with stubborn eye makeup, you may want to enlist their reusable makeup wipes. This product does not burn my eyes! I appreciate the jelly formula because it is so different and unique from anything I have personally tried. Just like their coconut formula, this is easy to use and not messy, and it does not leave the skin feeling stripped.

Strip Makeup Reusable Cleansing Wipes

Third is the product I have already mentioned several times! Meet the Strip Makeup Reusable Cleansing Wipes. These are double-sided wipes, with a finger strap on the back, that are designed to wipe away makeup with water alone, or with a cleanser. I love how soft and plush they feel, as they are composed of millions of hair-like fibers. One side is for erasing oil and makeup, while the other exfoliates. This set of seven wipes also comes with a laundry bag. You can throw these in the washer and dryer with your towels. I am a big fan of reusable wipes over disposable, and you can read more in my tips on how to remove makeup.

Strip Makeup Strip Headband

Strip Makeup Strip Headband

Last in this Strip Makeup review is the Strip Headband. This is perfect for holding your hair back as you apply makeup or cleanse. Heck, you can wear it around town if you want! The super soft and stretchy microfiber material is sure to never hurt your head or tug on your hair. Plus, it is easy to clean.

Makeup Remover Review Frequently Asked Questions – FAQs:

I am ending with some frequently asked questions about makeup removal products:

What is the most gentle way to remove makeup?

The most gentle way to remove makeup is with a skin-friendly cleanser and a reusable cloth or pad. Traditional makeup wipes can be too harsh on the skin, which causes irritation and unnecessary tugging that leads to premature aging. Strip Makeup offers several cleansers and reusable wipes that gently get the job done with skin-loving ingredients.

Is makeup remover good for your skin?

Makeup remover can be good for your skin, depending on the ingredients. Strip Makeup puts their focus on skincare-friendly ingredients that truly act as a 2-in-1 cleanser and treatment. Their formulas are Vegan, hypoallergenic, and suitable for all skin types with ingredient such as Acai berry, mango seed butter, and more.

Is micellar water enough to remove makeup?

Micellar water can be enough to remove makeup if you are a light makeup wearer. For a full-face of makeup, especially waterproof mascara and stubborn lip color, you might need to supplement with an oil-based cleansing balm. Strip Makeup’s Whipped Coconut Makeup Remover comes in handy for these instances.

In conclusion of this Strip Makeup review, if you care about the health and condition of your skin, you really should consider investing in their luxury removers.
