Doll Face Beauty Review, Swatches, Look

I have always wanted to try Doll Face Beauty since they popped into Rite Aid around 2020, but, the higher price point turned me away. Their products average on the high end around $9-25 and even more for their skincare. With those prices, you carry a high expectation. On the day that my local Rite Aid began their store closing sale, I went in and got as much as I could to do close to a full face. A lot was already sold out! Here I am swatching and reviewing everything that I could get to do a brand review. Together we will figure out if the brand is worth your time and money.

Doll Face Beauty At A Glance

• A higher priced drugstore brand.

• The full brand is available exclusively at Rite Aid.

• Products are manufactured all over the world.

• Very hit or miss.

Doll Face Makeup Review

I want to give you some details on where you can find this brand, as it may or may not be known to you. Doll Face Makeup Rite Aid is the prominent option. You can find a display in most of their stores. They also have their own website. CVS and Amazon carry a handful of items.

Amanda’s Review: ★★★

Glowtime DuoChrome Dust in Blue Moon

First for the Doll Face makeup brand is the Glowtime DuoChrome Dust in Blue Moon. The texture of this loose pigment really does feel like dust, which is offputting in some ways. It can be used as highlighter or eyeshadow. This product has a lot of glitter, yet it is subtle. Blue Moon has a metallic blue shift, giving you that frosty highlighter effect. I like to use it as face highlighter. I recommend dipping your brush in, then tapping almost all, but not all, of the excess off. Then, build it to your desired intensity. I am knocking a lot of stars off for the packaging. It has no powder dispenser top. All it has is a flat plastic disc that unsecurely sits on top of the powder. I made a big mess with it immediately.

Pillow Perfect Gel Cushion Blush in Pillow Talk

Second for Doll Face beauty products is the Pillow Perfect Gel Cushion Blush in Pillow Talk. I applied my “normal” amount to my cheeks and blended it out with a sponge. I could see the color but it was very subtle, so I had to build it up more. This blends and builds like a dream for ultimate control. I did knock one star off for the feel. It stayed tacky on my face, but, the swatch dries down to feel velvety. It must be the way that it layers over makeup when doing a cream look. This is worth using again!

The Fine Line Lasting Matte Liquid Liner in Black

Third in these Doll Face makeup reviews is the The Fine Line Lasting Matte Liquid Liner in Black. This is a standard felt tip eyeliner that is a true matte solid black. It can create precise lines and it does not bleed.

Rating: ★★★★★

Stretch It Out Creme Flex Concealer in Natural

Fourth is the Stretch It Out Creme Flex Concealer in Natural. I was surprised that the color was light enough to use on my under eye area! The formula is very creamy and full coverage, yet it blends out perfectly and is not heavy. Honestly, it is great! I am knocking a star off for the packaging, specifically the applicator. It is easy to twist to open and close, but you have to squeeze forever before the product comes out! There is a resistance when you squeeze that makes it feel like it is closed when it is actually open. I would love to see this done with a standard doe foot applicator.

All A-Glow Illuminating Face Powder in Translucent Glow

Fifth is the All A-Glow Illuminating Face Powder in Translucent Glow. You can definitely see the glow, but it is not glittery. This has a nice illumination! I used it as setting powder, and did not like it at all powder-wise. Somehow, it looks very heavy on the skin and powdery, almost chunky. It also gives you a white cast. I do not find that it extends or harms makeup wear time. This would probably be better used as a subtle highlighter or blush topper.

Rating: ★

Brow Gamer Powder Brow Enhancer in Deep Brown

Next is the Brow Gamer Powder Brow Enhancer in Deep Brown. Despite the unusual applicator, this product successfully fills your brows without any mess. Your brows will look soft and diffused. My star rating is due to the shade. I purchase deep or dark browns from all sorts of brands, and this color is way too light of a brown. The hue is off completely, as it has a touch of orange.

Rating: ★★

Stand Corrected Complexion Correcting Primer Redness Relief

This is the Stand Corrected Complexion Correcting Primer Redness Relief. It does nothing for my redness. To be fair, I have never used a green primer that has worked for that. This primer leaves the skin feeling very smooth and not tacky. It feels a lot like one of my favorite primers, which is Smashbox Photo Finish. It attempts to fill pores, but does not measure up. Maybe it would work on less severe pores. This is a nice base for makeup. It does not extend or hurt wear time.

Contour Wizard Sculpt & Highlight Palette

Here is the Contour Wizard Sculpt & Highlight Palette. These powders are super fine and they apply and blend like a dream! The contour shades are spot on, not too gray or orange. I really enjoyed how my contour turned out and I will use this product again for sure.

Retro Rogue Matte Powder Blush Trio in Audrey

Next is the Retro Rogue Matte Powder Blush Trio in Audrey. These powders are soft, blendable, and buildable to your desired intensity. I love to mix them to get custom shades. This is a solid blush palette option for the drugstore.

Glow, Baby Glow! Illuminating Highlighter Trio in Hollywood Halo

Continuing on, this is the Doll Face Beauty Glow, Baby Glow! Illuminating Highlighter Trio in Hollywood Halo. This product is likewise soft, blendable, and buildable to your desired intensity. It is not too glittery and has a nice metallic sheen. Not all of the shades may be suitable for fair skin.

Rating: ★★★★★

Avant Glam 10 Shade Matte & Shimmer Eye & Face Palette

Here is the Avant Glam 10 Shade Matte & Shimmer Eye & Face Palette. The bigger pans are to be used as matte face powder and highlighter, but, they can be used on the eye. I find that the matte shades have to built up a lot, causing you to dip your brush in many times. They swatch better with the finger than they apply on the eye with a brush to ultimately give not the best pigmentation. They are very dusty, as you can see the powder flying everywhere. However, the shimmers are great! They are stunning even when used dry.

Rating: ★★★

Wings of Love Long Lasting Liquid Liner in Black

This is the Wings of Love Long Lasting Liquid Liner in Black. I think this is the same formula as the other eyeliner mentioned here, just a different shape for the tip. Instead of repeating that review, I will say this is good for thin and thick lines.

Rating: ★★★★★

Matte-Nificent Matte Liquid Lipstick in Girl Crush

Pressing on, this is the Matte-Nificent Matte Liquid Lipstick in Girl Crush. Girl Crush is a beautiful deep mauve! I find this has full pigmentation in one swipe. It is creamy and lightweight, all while not being streaky. This will dry down to be fully matte quickly, and there is little to no transfer. I did not experience any dryness or flaking.

Rating: ★★★★★

Nothing to Hide Twist-Up Perfect Cover in Ivory

Last for Doll Face Beauty is the Nothing to Hide Twist-Up Perfect Cover in Ivory. I tried to use this under my makeup as a spot concealer. It is creamy so it glides right on, but, it disappears when you blend it out. This cannot be layered. It does nothing and is completely useless to me.

Doll Face Beauty Products Makeup Look

I am ending with an almost full face makeup look with Doll Face Beauty! I filled in with other drugstore products where needed. Below is the complete list of what I used:

To recreate the eye look, start by applying the matte pink shade to the crease and along the lower lash line. Next, deepen the crease with the matte medium brown shade. Then, apply the metallic pink shade to the eyelid. Now, apply the dark brown matte shade to the outer corner and connect it down to the lower lash line. Finish the look by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with the large cream shimmer shade.

Conclusion

In summary of this Doll Face Beauty review, the brand is rather lackluster. I do not feel compelled to try anything else out, especially at the price points. You should check out the items that I did rate highly, as I will definitely go back and use them again. It is evident that they are trying, but missing the mark in some areas. I do appreciate their packaging designs and how the products are made all over the world. For a better drugstore experience at a lower cost, I recommend my Believe Beauty review. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
