wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021

Do you love it when makeup randomly gets dropped without any prior notice? First introduced in 2020, wet n wild is bringing back their festival collection for another go. Believe me when I say that I have SO MUCH info to share about the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection that this absolutely is the most informative resource on the internet, period. This blog post will take you through reviews, swatches, star ratings, up close and personal shots, two makeup looks, plus a complete investigation on the issues and oddities with this collection. wet n wild describes this years collection as a lineup of products that embrace the intersection of expressive colors, exaggerated textures, and high-energy finishes. This is makeup designed for music festivals, fairs, costuming, and more. We are going to jump straight in.

General Notes

Before I get into the actual product reviews of the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection, I have a lot that needs to be said. First, you may recall last year was the first time wet n wild did this collection. The collection names “Festival” and “Neon” are interchangeable, but wet n wild seems to be pushing “Festival” more, so I am going with that as well to differentiate this blog post from last years.

Second, this collection contains completely new items, new shades of past items, as well as repeats from last year. The goal of this blog post is to purchase everything that is new. If you are looking for a review and swatches of a missing item, then it is probably from last year, which I already have a blog post on. For example, the high shine lip colors and liquid eyeshadows did not appear to be new. wet n wild is using the same shades and names from last year, so at least they are not trying to pull something on us.

I highly recommend that you keep the Neon collection open in a separate tab.

Issues Buying the Collection

It is no secret that wet n wild has been doing poorly with the releases of collections for a while now. Last year’s festival collection was terrible, and this time around is no better. When it comes to oddities about the individual products, I will give you full details as a part of the review for that item. One item to mention right away are the Fantasy Makers Blotting Sheets in Rose & Green Tea*. They appear on Walmart’s website as sold out and they cannot be found on any in-store displays, so I do not have them.

This collection is available in Walmart stores. As far as I can tell, the cardboard display contains the SpongeBob collaboration and the Festival collection. My local store has failed to put the display out, even though the official released date was 4/10.

On the cardboard display they have the Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousses, which are available in their everyday line. They also have their Mega Volume Mascara done with limited edition Fantasy Makers packaging. I did not buy it as I already own it and have reviewed it on the blog, but I will use it for the makeup looks at the end of this post.

99% of this collection cannot be purchased online from Walmart. They are not allowing for delivery or in-store pickup. You have to go inside and hope and pray that they have the items. With this being said, a handful of random items can actually be shipped or picked up.

wet n wild has a handful of items up on their website. At the time of writing this post, you can buy all of the body tattoos, gem face masks, brushes, and setting sprays, but only one of the Multi Sticks in Pearl Jammin’.

These supply issues are making it tricky for me to link you to products to buy. The shopping carousel at the end of this post features every item from Walmart, but of course, you cannot buy anything. I am hoping at a future date they will let us buy online, and those links will convert over to be useful for you. Under each product review when I give you a text link I will place an asterisk (*) with it to fully disclose that the link IS currently able to be shopped, as I mention above wet n wild and Walmart have a handful of items ready to go. If I do not use an asterisk (*), the link is only able to show you the product. If you would like to purchase through The Aesthetic Edge to support the blog to keep content like this coming, I would be so grateful if you waited to shop with my links!

You should know by now that I do my very best to ensure that I get every single item to review. While I am always successful at that, wet n wild is making it impossible to access each and every item (more on that later). If I ever find more items, I will come back and update this blog post. I recommend bookmarking this page in your favorites, signing up for my email list, and following on social media so that you can be the first to know when this post is updated.

Update 5/29/21: Walmart now has a collection page*, but do note that it does not contain the full collection. Several of the above mentioned products are now available. When on the page you can add products to your cart for at-home shipping if the individual product pages do not let you! Simply click on the circular product image, then add to cart. Doing so will also reveal all the available options. For example, if it only shows you one out of four pairs of lashes, clicking the one will reveal all. With this being said, all, if not most of the products should be able to be shopped now.

Individual Gems

The first items from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection are two sets of Individual Gems*. These are a fresh take on the previous Face and Body Gems. As I always say with this type of product, I wonder how they would actually stick over top of makeup, especially without using eyelash adhesive. I would think your powder/foundation would ruin them, but I want to hear some tips in the comments. Overall, I like the idea of these, but I cannot see myself using them.

Claims: These are long-lasting, self-adhesive gems that come in different colors and sizes so you can create your own personalized look. With easy application, you can place the gem anywhere on the face and body.

False Lashes

Second are two new sets of False Lashes*. wet n wild’s false lashes always have a cheap appearance, and these are no different. These styles can definitely be fun for a special occasion, but otherwise they do not scream quality. I am used to that with their lashes. Chic and Foxy are a lot more wearable and elegant than past styles, even though they are rather large. Glue is not included.

Claims: High quality, synthetic lashes. They feature a unique style and add texture, length, and volume. The band should be flexible for comfortable wear and easy use.

3-in-1 Face Mists in Dewy Illusion and Mist Me

Third we have two new varieties of the 3-in-1 Face Mists. Both types do successfully set the face, but they do not extend the wear time of makeup. They create a dewy look by covering the face in a fine glitter. Dewy Illusion* has a gold-toned glitter, while Mist Me* is more of a pearly white. You do need to shake these very well because the glitter mixture settles.

Claims: These revitalizing sprays can be used to prep the skin before applying makeup, set a finished look, or as a moisturizing refresher throughout the day. The micro-fine pearl pigments add dimension and light-reflecting properties that leave the skin glowing. Skin loving ingredients should brighten the skin, reduce redness, and moisturize.

Glitter Makeup Sponges

Fourth are some Glitter Makeup Sponges*. I was able to find two types, which are Hippie (teal) and Rapper (purple). On Walmart’s website they picture two more sponges in Country Singer (orange) and Popstar (pink). Country Singer and Popstar show as sold out and cannot be found in-stores. My display does not even have a spot for them! Weirdness! Anyway, wet n wild’s sponge formula is one of my favorites. Their sponges do expand when wet and bounce on the skin without feeling like rocks. They are just as good as other top drugstore sponges. However, the glitter will transfer off of these sponges, but it is nothing that severe, causing me to dock one star.

Edit 5/21/21 – the missing sponges in Country Singer (orange) and Popstar (pink) became available for online order/delivery, so I am now able to add them to this post!

Claims:  Designed with a unique hydrophilic material, these sponges help you put on your favorite cosmetics with a streak-free effortless application without glitter fallout. You should be able to blend, spread, and smooth with ease.

Artificial Nails

Fifth from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection are four sets of Artificial Nails*. This is a first from wet n wild! Many years ago they did faux nails for Halloween under the Fantasy Makers line, but this collection holds its own. With these sets you get 24 nails, a mini nail file, and a tube of nail glue. As you can see, these are cheap nails. I am sure once you custom fit them to your own nails that they will look somewhat decent.

Please note that the glitter on the glitter nails goes everywhere. You can see that in the pictures as the glitter gets all over the packaging. They definitely will not hold up to hand washing, showering, and other daily activities. I recommend applying a layer (or two) of clear top coat to seal the glitter.

The Wild Gal set makes another issue apparent. You can see extra plastic at the tip of the nail that is very sharp. Be sure to file those pieces off if they appear on your nails because you can definitely scratch yourself.

I actually did a wear test of the glue. Now, I will say my personal preference is a brush on glue, but I will not let that affect my review. You have to cut the tip off of the tube and give a decent squeeze to get the glue out. At the time of this writing, I have been wearing a faux nail on the middle finger of my right dominant hand for 13 days. The nail has never fallen off and it is just as perfectly glued on as it was on the first day! This is fabulous, considering that finger gets a lot of pressure put on it from daily activities such as cleaning. Of course, to prep my real nails for glue on nails, I always follow the prep steps in my nail care routine. I do not have a blog post detailing how I apply faux nails, but I have a mini tutorial on Instagram.

Claims: These nails feature beautiful colors, designs, and finishes so that you can enjoy perfectly manicured hands without investing any time or effort. Differing nail sizes are included to ensure that there is a perfect match for any size nail bed. The included nail glue provides an extra strong bond to make sure your nails stay safely and securely in place.

Edit 5/21/21 – Makeup Body Sponge in Rockstar

I was going through Walmart’s website to see if anything new popped up, and out of no where, a brand new Fantasy Makers Festival item has been added! This is the Makeup Body Sponge in Rockstar*. As far as I can tell, this is wet n wild’s typical sponge, just made to be huge for body makeup. Personally, I do not engage in any body makeup, so I am buying this to share with you. Do note that their sponges expand when wet, so this baby is going to get even bigger! I also note it feels more dense and not as bouncy as their normal sponges, but I figure that is due to the incredible size and circumference.

Claims: Apply large swaths of color easily and seamlessly. This large teardrop shaped makeup sponge makes it quick and simple to blend and apply makeup large surface areas of the body. Designed with a unique hydrophilic material, this sponge helps you put on your favorite cosmetics with a streak-free effortless application

Rating: ★★★★☆

Gem Face Masks

Next are three new Gem Face Masks*. Never in my life have I attached gems to my face. I cannot see myself using these, so they are probably a waste of money. How would these stay stuck on your face once they touch your foundation and powder? It would be absurd to not wear face makeup with these. I imagine that most people use eyelash glue. But, then again, these are self-adhesive, so you really should not need to do that. Please tell me how to use these gems in the comments!

Claims: These should be easy and fool-proof to apply with no glue required. For a better hold, they can be placed on clear skin or a non-oil base.

Nail Colors

Continuing on we have four new shades of Nail Color*. I love wet n wild nail polish, and I am a major collector. These feature their signature ManiCurve brush.

On Walmart’s website they show a neon yellow nail polish called EDC You Later. In stores they only have last year’s mustard yellow called Lemonade Heaven. However, the picture of the back of the EDC You Later bottle on Walmart’s website does say Lemonade Heaven. I actually ordered it and they sent me Lemonade Heaven. Therefore, I am convinced that EDC You Later does not actually exist and there is somehow an error with the listing. Perhaps it will be a shade available for Halloween.

Claims: The salon-quality formula has excellent color payoff and adhesion for long wear. The rounded ManiCurve brush lays flat to allow the polish to flow equally down the bristles.

Nail Accents in Hippie Hue

Here is one new type of Nail Accents in Hippie Hue*. I would place these on the nail as a final step before top coat. This set features a variety of boho prints in a metallic gold finish.

Claims: The accents last for days and are easy to apply and remove.

Glitter Mascara in Silent Disco Time

Pressing on, we have a brand new wet n wild product, which is Glitter Mascara in Silent Disco Time. elf used to have a variety of these many years ago, which I enjoyed wearing, but they discontinued them. Just like elf’s, wet n wild’s features a plastic wand that is threaded like a screw. This is clear mascara loaded with silver glitter. You can apply this over mascara or wear it on its own. I hope in the future that they give us more colors! This product is perfect for adding a fun pop of glitter and we are here for it.

Claims: The lightweight, gel formula glides on smoothly and dries quickly for maximum comfort and hold. Wear it on its own or combine it with other mascara colors and styles. A specially-designed applicator deposits the perfect amount of glitter evenly along the entire length of the lashes, from root to tip. Apply a single coat for a subtle shimmer, or build up the intensity.

Illuminator in Seeing Rainbows – Blue

Next from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection may just be the most curious product. This is the Illuminator in Seeing Rainbows*. As you can see, mine is clearly blue. You may be wondering, what does a rainbow have to do with this product? Buckle your seatbelts kids, I have a lot to say here.

First and foremost, the packaging and name should remind you of the rainbow highlighter first introduced in the Unicorn Glow Collection that was then expanded on with the Halloween Fantasy Makers 2018 collection. Keep these facts in mind.

Blog reader Charlene has been faithfully sharing her reports with me about this collection, and she has made major discoveries with this illuminator. She has found a pink, yellow, and purple version! As far as we can tell, each Walmart gets one color, and the display only has room for that one color. The product link that I have to Walmart’s website ONLY shows the pink version.

Upon further inspection, if you visit that Walmart.com link and scroll down, they actually picture a legit rainbow highlighter much like the past ones mentioned. Neither Charlene nor myself have found the actual rainbow version. Call me crazy, but it appears wet n wild has packaged each shade of the rainbow separately. I do not understand the point of that. Further, they name all the shades Seeing Rainbows.

If you want to see the other shades, definitely check out Charlene’s Instagram feed (and give her a follow!). Thank you so much for your investigation, girl!

Anyway, all I can find is the blue shade. When I stare at the swatch on my hand I cannot help but think of it as a bruise, even though the shade of blue is far too vibrant to be a bruise. I am personally not into colored highlighter, but I cannot envision anyone actually wearing these except for Halloween to become Elsa from Frozen. I am docking it stars because it is not practical. This is a medium impact highlighter versus what you get from a megaglo Highlighting Powder.

Claims: Perfect for both soft and high-impact looks, this ultra-saturated shimmering powder features micro-fine pearl pigments that mesh together to create a targeted multicolor glow from the inside out. Blend with other illuminators, highlighters, and foundations to generate a beautiful rainbow highlight.

Rating: ★★★☆☆

Update 6/5/21- Illuminator in Seeing Rainbows (Pink)

Walmart now allows purchase of the Illuminator online, but only the pink option. Mine does not have the star details because it came completely smashed. It was wrapped so well it boggles my mind as to how this happened. It makes me wonder if it was broken before shipping. As you can can see by the swatch, just like Blue, the glow is mild. Even the pink hue is mild.

Update 7/15/21- Illuminator in Seeing Rainbows (Green)

The green version of Seeing Rainbows looks very blue in real life. I am including a side-by-side shot of blue and green so that the difference is more visible.

Lip Treatments

Here are two new varieties of Lip Treatments. The original varieties of Lip Treatments exist in wet n wild’s everyday line, as released with their 2020 new products. I already know that I like this formula and it works. I turned to this line about a year ago when my lips were in bad shape, and I was able to nurse them back to health. Watermelon n Chill is obviously watermelon flavored, while Popsicle Drip is lemon popsicle flavored (although it reminds me more of delicious lemon cake). I tried to swatch these but they both show clear, so there was nothing to show.

Claims: This ultra-hydrating lip balm immediately provides relief for chapped and dry lips while improving appearance and leaving them silky soft. You can use these multiple times a day, as needed, to keep your lips feeling hydrated all day long.

Rating: ★★★★★

Glitter Gels

Pressing on, we have two new and one repeat variety of the Glitter Gels*! I am beyond excited to see the new tube packaging! The original jar packaging causes these to dry out after being open for a few months. The tube will prevent this from happening. Bad Trip and Seeing Double are the new shades, while Light Show is a repeat. I know that I said I am only buying the new stuff, but Light Show is my personal favorite glitter gel, so you bet I want it in a tube!

I consider these to be like body glitter for an adult. The formula is a clear gel that is not sticky or tacky in any way. When you pat these onto the face or body with your fingers, they do dry down and last all day. Best of all, you can apply these over powder and they look great! I attribute that to the gel formula. I am addicted to wearing them over the highlighter on my cheekbones or making creative eye looks with them.

Bad Trip is a stunning chunky copper glitter that easily provides full-coverage. Seeing Double is a chunk silver glitter, and Light Show is a chunky iridescent glitter.

Claims: The gel is super concentrated, hyper-reflective, and self-adhering. It glides on effortlessly with no mess or fall-out, and it lasts all day.

Rating: ★★★★★

Glitter Liners

wet n wild keeps bringing back these Glitter Liners*, but at least we are finally getting five new shades. They are still using a crappy brush that gets all bent out of shape. Believe it or not, the formula has gotten worse. I had the hardest time making the swatches show up, and that problem persists on the eye. The glitter is too dispersed in the clear gel formula to get nice impact, and the bad brush does not help. I am docking these another star this year.

I do want to point out two things. First, Kaleidoscope is a repeat name, but the glitter has changed. This year it features a combination of blue and silver glitters. Second, Disco Dew is also a repeat name, but the color has changed. Last year it was purple, and this year it is a vibrant blue.

Claims: The formula should be buildable, quick-drying, budge-proof, long-wearing, water resistant, and water-based. Application should be smooth without flaking or transferring.

Multisticks

Finally we are being treated to five new shades of Multisticks*! Sadly, these are another example of a product that has gotten worse, causing me to dock a star over my previous rating. Each shade is incredibly metallic, but they swatch with sheer light to medium coverage. You cannot build the pigment up! The Multisticks almost always feature a full coverage formula, so this is disappointing. Either way, I appreciate this line because you can wear these anywhere on the face and body. Since they do not fully dry down, using them as an eyeshadow may not be the brightest idea, as creasing is imminent.

You may be wondering how TechNO Worries is different from Pearl Jammin’* as they both appear to be a metallic white. TechNO Worries is much more light reflective than Pearl Jammin’*, so I dub it a brand new shade.

While we are on the topic of Pearl Jammin’*, it is available on wet n wild’s website for purchase. Do note it is a repeat from last year.

Currently I am missing two brown-toned shades called Come Down and Mic Drop.

Update 6/5/21- Both Come Down and Mic Drop are available online! I accidentally re-purchsed Artist Pass when I should have gotten Come Down. 100% my fault, but it is not worth it to ship it alone. I will add it to my next larger order. Please excuse the duplicate swatch of Artist Pass, as we want to focus on Mic Drop.

Final update 6/16/21- Adding the swatch for Come Down!

Claims: These sticks are intensely pigmented, blendable, buildable, and velvety with a cream-to-powder finish. You can apply them to the eyes, cheeks, and lips.

Lip Glosses

Continuing on with the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection we have seven new Lip Gloss* shades, all in a peachy/orange/gold/brown color family. You know that I hate lip gloss, but wet n wild’s formula is the best because it is not sticky!

Claims: These deliver a translucent, mirror-like shine that make your lips look fuller and amplified. They also moisturize your lips.

Highlighter in Front Row Glow

Next from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection is one new shade of Highlighter in Front Row Glow. This shade is a bit too dark for wear on fair skin tones. It is a rich golden peach shade that is heavy on the glitter. If you do not like glitter highlighters, then you will not like this one. Yes, this is the megaglo Highlighting Powder formula.

Claims: They provide high-impact, light-catching dimension with a silky smooth and buttery texture. The buildable formula allows you to control the glow, from subtle to intense.

Rating: ★★★★★

Bronzers

wet n wild has not given us new bronzers since since their 2019 new products launch! Here we have two shades of Fantasy Makers Bronzers, which is also a first for the FM line. Dusk to Dawn is a highly shimmery bronzer, while Waitlist is almost fully matte with the slightest bit of unnoticeable shimmer. Sadly, both of these pull more on the orange side, with Waitlist being the worst. Both of these are also highly pigmented, so be careful to use a light hand in application. I am docking them a star for the orange tone and the strong pigment. Otherwise, they are soft and blendable.

Claims: This bronzer makeup gives you a natural glow in both matte and shimmer shades. This long-wear formula stays in place for hours at a time, and is silky smooth and easy to blend.

Pigment Palettes

We have some interesting things happening with the Pigment Palettes* this year. Jungle Juice is brand new featuring a color palette that reminds me of camo. Desert Heat is a repeat from last year, however I am buying it again because they changed it! The glitter shades were a light orange and medium brown last year, but this year they are dark orange and yellow! Below I have a side-by-side shot to show you what I am talking about. I do believe the shimmer brown shades are still the same, but the lighting is what is making them look different.

I have to say, the Pigment Palette formula also got worse this year. The mattes and shimmers produce a lot of kick up in the pan, and they will fall out like crazy on the face if you do not tap your the excess off your brush. On the flip side, they are highly pigmented. Yep, you guessed it, they get docked a star this year.

The glitters are still the Vaseline mixed with glitter situation we are used to, but somehow they are more greasy this year. I will get more into this disaster when it comes to the makeup looks at the end of this post. I could not get a good swatch of them this year because of the greasiness and how the glitter is so dispersed. Yet somehow the yellow glitter in Desert Heat seems dry.

Otherwise, my notes are the same as those from last year. They do have a warning that they should not be used on the eyes, and I hate when products say that when they are clearly eyeshadow palettes. There are no shade names. I find that the glitters do not dry down, so they do crease horribly on the eyes. You can also see the actual pans in the swatched glitters because you hit pan immediately.

Claims: Each palette is color coordinated, with different textures and finishes. These are perfect for creating monochromatic looks. You can layer the shadows and even use them wet. The finishes are glitter, shimmer, metallic, and matte.

Blushes

wet n wild had a top blush formula at the drugstore until they discontinued all of them, and re-released their coloricon Blush line into round pans with a new formula in 2020. The only shade that is actually good is Mellow Wine. I cannot get the other shades to show up on the face for anything and I hate using them! I am happy to report that all of these Fantasy Makers Blushes* are good, as they are new to the FM line. They feature buildable pigmentation that actually shows up in swatches and on the face in four shades that are completely new. The formula is so soft and blendable. I will note that Ferris Wheel Fantasy is absolutely not a blush. It applies like a mild, light pink highlighter.

Claims: As silky smooth as it is buttery soft, this one-of-a-kind blush is infused with nylon, giving it its signature texture that practically melts straight into the skin. It is also easy to blend it with other pigments. You can build up from a subtle shimmer all the way to a seriously intense glow.

Update 6/5/21 Rose & Green Tea Blotting Sheets

The infamous Rose & Green Tea Blotting Sheets* are finally here for online purchase as a part of wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection! wet n wild first gave us blotting sheets with the Pump Collection. As far as I can tell, these are basically the same and will get the job done. They also smell like rose or green tea slightly. You get 50 sheets per box, for a total of 100 per package.

Claims: These sheets are made from vegan hemp pulp to gently absorb and remove excess oil without removing or smudging makeup. Infused with fragrant and skin-loving rose and green tea extract, these sheets soothe the skin while leaving your makeup untouched.

Brushes

The last items from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection are the Brushes. After I did all my photography for this post, wet n wild randomly releases these four brushes. First, the handles are filled with a clear liquid and a variety of holographic confetti that is perfect for the Festival line. wet n wild has done this sort of brush handle in the past with the PacMan and the My Melody and Kuromi collections.

The weird thing with these brushes is that they are combining the Essential and the Pro Brush lines together. The pink and white bristles should be familiar to you from the Essential line. I went through my collection to do some comparisons for you below. Basically, all of these brushes are repeats. You would only buy them to get the limited edition handles.

wet n wild makes excellent makeup brushes. The bristles are super soft and I rely on them for my makeup every day. The quality is definitely evident.

You can purchase all of the brushes from wet n wild’s website, so below are the links:

Claims: Ultra-soft and plush, these makeup tools feature two-toned synthetic fibers that mimic the consistency of natural hairs, so that they pick up product easily so you can evenly apply as much or as little as you want. Designed just as much for comfort as they are for style, these brushes feature a festive liquid confetti-filled handle. These brushes can be used to apply any type of makeup, whether it’s mineral, baked powder, or cream.

Rating: ★★★★★

Powder Brush

As you can see, the Essential Powder Brush is the same as this one. This is the only brush they duplicated from the Essential line. The others are all Pro Line brushes, but with Essential bristles. Weird!

Eyeshadow Blending Brush

wet n wild has released several blending brushes similar enough to this one to call it a repeat.

Blush Brush

We have definitely seen the blush brush before.

Highlighter Brush

wet n wild likes to keep releasing the highlighter brush with different handles. It is a good thing this is my favorite style of highlighter brush, because now I have more of them than I will ever need!

Makeup Looks

#1 Jungle Juice

I am ending this wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection review with two makeup looks. The first look centers around the Jungle Juice pigment palette. Unfortunately, this makeup look is a fail. The complexion is the best thing about the look, sans the orange-toned bronzer. I am digging the lip combination and how well it matches the Jungle Juice theme. While the eyes might look pretty cool from a distance, they are a hot mess!

I know last year I used the glitters on the eye, but the formula must have changed some how. So much so that the Nyx Glitter Primer is not even helping. The glitters are so greasy that the Kiss Lash Glue Liner will not dry down. Instead, it wants to rub away and the eyelashes WILL NOT stick to it! I cannot believe the crappy palette is defeating my holy grail Lash Glue Liner. Even normal eyeliner or lash glue will not stick to the eyelid over top of the glitter Vaseline mess! Below are the products used, and yes I use some non-wet n wild products to help out where necessary:

You will clearly see in the pictures that the inner corner of the lashes will not stick down for anything. Further, the lashes really are not on my eye! I did want you all to get an idea of how the lashes look on the eyes, so I am showing the world this fail. I will also give you the directions on how to re-create the eye look, but I do not recommend putting the glitters on the eyelid… or anywhere where you might want to layer products on top of. You can also see how the glitters will not build up, so they appear to be highly dispersed. I want a full-coverage glitter look, but you just cannot do it with this formula.

To create the eye look, apply the matte brown shade in the crease and bring it down below the eye. Next, apply the Nyx Glitter Primer to the entire eyelid. Now, apply the bronze glitter to 3/4 of the eyelid, and the dark glitter to the outer third. Then, apply the matte olive green shade along the lower lash line. Finish the eyeshadow portion by highlighting the brow bone and inner corner with the FM Highlighter in Flash Me.

For the eyeliner look, create an extra long wing with the Breakup Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. Then, line rest of the eye with the Kiss Lash Glue Liner. Now, apply the glitter liner along the bottom of the wing, and bring it out past the tip of the black eyeliner.

I am not using lip liner for this look, rather, I build up the Multistick* the best that I can, and then top it off with the lip gloss*. It makes a unique shade that I cannot replicate with another lip product in my collection!

#2 Desert Heat

This look is much better due to the lessons learned with the first look. My eyeliner is probably not even but I am not mad about it. At least my eyelashes are glued to my eye! The yellow glitter from the pigment palette is patchy and clingy, but as to be expected since it is on the drier side. You cannot see the glitter liner at all. Overall, I like this orange themed look and it is clearly my favorite. Below are the products used:

To create the eye look, apply the matte orange shade onto the crease, and wing it out past the line where your eyebrow ends. Next, take the metallic brown and use it to deepen the crease, while also winging it out. Now, take the Nyx Glitter Primer and apply it onto the entire eyelid, and also along the lower lash line and in the inner corner. Then, take the Glitter Gel in Bad Trip and squeeze some onto the back of your hand. Use a flat eyeshadow brush to pat it onto the entire eyelid. Go back to the Pigment Palette and apply the glitter yellow onto the inner corner, then the glitter orange onto the lower lash line. Since the glitter orange does not pack much of a punch, I also mixed some of the metallic brown into it. Highlight the brow bone with the Highlighter in Front Row Glow.

For the eyeliner look, create an extra long wing with the Breakup Proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, winging it out to mimic the edge of the eyeshadow. I did take the Glitter Liner in Glitz Blitz and apply it in between the eyeliner wing and the eyeshadow wing, but you cannot see it very well. Then, line rest of the eye with the Kiss Lash Glue Liner.

I did line the lips to give them a little something before topping them with plenty of lip gloss*.

Conclusion

In summary of the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Festival 2021 collection, there is so much to say! wet n wild snuck this product into the open in tandem with the SpongeBob collection, so it totally got overshadowed. They are failing to market it or distribute it well, which leads to issues purchasing the items, and little info being available on the internet. While they are re-releasing so many products from last year, there is also a boatload of new items being discussed here. I am so excited to see brand spanking new items here like artificial nails, bronzers, and blushes. But, items actually got worse in quality like the pigment palettes, glitter liners, and multisticks. Now that you have made it through this huge post you should know exactly what you want to buy and what to avoid, if you can even find these items. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

Will you attempt to get anything from this collection?
