A very popular and in-demand post for you all is new wet n wild releases. With this in mind, I am adding another installment to bring you new wet n wild 2019 products. This article is very extensive because I have not limited it strictly what wet n wild considers to be 2019 releases. I am also including any new products released toward the end of the year, as well as any holiday gift items that were new. Additionally, I have product comparisons, and in-depth reviews and swatches. This may just be the longest post I have ever written. As a result you should be able to determine which products are worth buying and which you should pass on.

Primer Waters

To begin I have the 3-in-1 primer waters. They are designed to function as a primer, setting spray, and refresher throughout the day. For this reason, they rival and dupe other high end sprays. Each spray smells exactly it’s name. The packaging is the same as the original photofocus setting sprays. Because of this, I believe the sprayer will function well, just as the originals.

Pro Brush Line Brushes

Subsequently, wet n wild released another gift set of pro brush line brushes into Walgreens. The handles are designed in like fashion to the limited edition Fire vs Ice brushes. Some of the brushes are brand new to the line, while others are repeats. Specifically, the shader eye, flat foundation, fan, and concealer brushes have never been released before, leaving the rest as repeats. Likewise to all other pro brush line brushes, these are sturdy, of good quality, and ergonomic. I recommend them highly.

Highlighting Palettes

Next I am featuring two highlighter shades. wet n wild released one highlighting palette on their website, and one in Walgreens. Similarly they each carried the same shades, with the exception of the shades in the bottom right corners. I will say that Gilded Hibiscus and Paradise Bloom swatch in like manner. With this in mind and not forgetting that the other shades are repeats, it is best to save your money on these palettes.

Leave it to wet n wild to be innovative at the drugstore with primer sticks! There are two in the line- one provides a dewy finish, the other, conversely, is matte. To illustrate their use, you would rub the stick over your face, then use your fingers to evenly distribute the product. Swatching these are hard because of the nature of primers, but you can see some glow from the luminous stick.

When the holidays were within sight, wet n wild released three new coloricon loose pigments. Merry is a shimmer white, Jolly is a light gold, and Noel is almost a rose gold. Similarly, each pigment packs on plenty of shimmer.

megaglo Highlighting Bars

Thinking way back to 2016, wet n wild released a limited edition gold highlighting bar in their Sequins and Stardust collection. Because of popular demand, they brought it back, and accompanied it with three new shades. I still enjoy using the gold bar, and the swatches of the new ones should be analogous to the original formula. Each pan includes a pull-out mirror.

Continuing on we have two additions to my favorite drugstore highlighter line. Bloom Time is a beautiful, light pink gold. Awesome Blossom is a deep gold, consequently it is too dark for my skin tone. Above all, these have the same beloved formula of the other highlighting powders.

You readers were asking me if I was going to review the loose highlighting powders and the answer is yes! I absolutely love the two limited edition loose highlighters. For this reason, I was part of the crew that wanted loose highlighters in the permanent collection. After swatching each highlighter, I can confidently say that the shades are new and the formula matches the limited edition shades. If you were on the fence about purchasing these, I give them the green light. Although, if you dislike glittery highlights, these may not be your cup of tea.

Body Luminzers

Next up are the body luminizers. It feels odd that they were released at the tail end of fall, because they seem more like a summer product being as that you need bare skin to show off. With this in mind, I will probably not get use of these until summer. Each luminizer looks beautiful in the glass bottle with all of the glitter. They feature a pump dispenser, and you must shake these well before use. In summary of the swatches, I will say that a little goes a long way. Also, they have a slight chemical scent, but not enough to bother me. Finally, Invested in Bronze is not intended for my skin tone. I bought it to swatch it.

These may seem like lip gloss, however, they are different. Each pack on an impressive amount of shine and pigment, accordingly with the swatches. The formula is not sticky, but it would wear off quickly, similar to a lip gloss. A stain does get left behind, which supports the long-lasting claim. Keeping the pigment in mind, you can definitely wear these alone, however, you may still want to layer these with other lip colors if you prefer. The curved doe-foot applicator is likewise to all other liquid catsuits.

Liquid Catsuit Creme Liquid Eyeshadows

We have four liquid eyeshadows. Because of their neutral hues, these are perfect for on the lid application. Each has a creamy, highly-pigmented formula, and they dry down to be matte and long-lasting. To illustrate how these can be used, they would work well as an eyeshadow base, under glitter, to cut the crease, or alone. With this being said, you can easily blend them with your fingers or a brush.

Next I am exploring two eyeshadow palettes released in a holiday gift set. The Matte palette features all matte shades, contrarily to Shimmer, which contains all shimmer shades. These palettes look eerily similar to the Au Naturel palettes. I decided to do side-by-side comparisons and swatches below. My final determination is that these are analogous to the Au Naturel palettes. There are no reason to buy these if you have the originals. All wet n wild did was take the corresponding shades in the Au Naturel palettes and convert them to either matte or shimmer to suit the knockoff palettes. In like fashion to all wet n wild eyeshadow, they at least have good pigmentation.

10 piece nail color collections

Next I have four 10-piece nail color holiday sets that are exclusive to Five Below. While the hues and finishes are gorgeous, overall the swatches disappointed me. First, the formula is rather thin, making these seem like cheap nail polishes. Secondly, the polishes to do not contain wet n wild’s signature manicurve brush. Below I have swatched each nail polish. Do note that each set contained a clear coat, but I only swatched it once.

Makeup Sponge

It’s about time that wet n wild made their own makeup sponges! In my daily routine I use a large and mini sponge. Because of this, I am happy that there are two sizes. I can tell by squeezing the sponge if it will be good, or as hard as a rock. As a result of my test, I think we will be good to go. The ultimate test is wetting these and seeing how they blend makeup. While there are thousands of sponges on the market today, wet n wild came up with a new shape/cut that I have yet to see.

Silicone Applicator

Following the sponges is a silicone applicator. These blew up for a time, however, beauty guru’s proved that they are ineffective for applying foundation. Silicone simply pushes product around and leaves it on top of the skin. I bought this applicator for completeness.

Lash Renegade Mascara

Next up is the Lash Renegade mascara… which is by no means new. The waterproof formula, however, is. Since I have never tried Lash Renegade, this is a good time. The silicone applicator is unique because of the ball tip.

Mega Length Mascara

Secondly, we have the cult favorite Mega Length mascara. As the name implies, it is supposed to lengthen your lashes. This mascara has been repackaged and has a new formula.

Thirdly, we have Mega Volume mascara. It claims to volumize your lashes. Again, this mascara was repackaged and reformulated.

Finally, we have Mega Protein mascara. It’s formula is supposed to be healthy for your lashes. This mascara was only repackaged, not reformulated.

The release of this brow pencil causes wet n wild to join in on the fun of brands like e.l.f. and Loreal. Below my swatch illustrates how easily you can draw with hair-like strokes. Above all, Deep Brown should be a decent shade match for me. I have no complaints about the formula and I appreciate the the included spoolie.

Previously throughout the year, wet n wild has released many metallic liquid eyeliners. To this end, these feel unnecessary and not unique. However, they definitely hold up to their metallic claims. In comparison to past eyeliners, this formula is not as streaky, and more pigmented.

Moving on I have an exciting brow pomade! I really like e.l.f.’s version, likewise I anticipate to enjoy this one. The packaging opens into multiple parts, revealing a perfectly-sized brow brush. However, you can still use your favorite brow brush. The formula is creamy and Espresso is a good shade match for me.

Photofocus concealer is not new, however, wet n wild finally extended the shade range! I want to try Fair Neutral and Fair Beige because they appear to be the lightest shades. Finding a light concealer in the drugstore can be challenging, but I think wet n wild has outdone themselves. This concealer has a creamy consistency and blends out easily. It looks good all day long and is a favorite of mine.

photofocus Loose Setting Powder in Translucent

Look at wet n wild stepping up their game with loose setting powders! Will it beat my current favorite, Maybelline’s Fit Me loose powder? This powder comes in three shades- Translucent, Banana, and Deep. Because of my fair skin tone, Translucent will be the best for me. Swatching a powder is rather useless. The best test is applying it to the face.

I have never found a foundation stick that works for me, however, I have never found a wet n wild foundation that I did not like. For this purpose, I am hoping that wet n wild will change my outlook on stick foundations. Soft Ivory is my shade in the liquid photofocus foundation, making it a good starting point for the stick. In truth, it swatches soft and creamy. I blended the swatch with my finger easily, and it dried to a powder finish.

We have two additions to the coloricon blush line. Keep It Peachy is a peach tone, while Blazen Berry is a high shimmer berry hue. Both blushes swatched well, meeting my expectations of the coloricon line.

You may have noticed that wet n wild releases multi sticks for Halloween, however, these are suitable for the rest of the year. Multi Sticks are creamy and pigmented makeup sticks that can be used anywhere. For example, they can be used as lipstick, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, etc. The shade range in the lineup is stunning, and no complaints about the swatches. In the final swatch I testing blending the formula with my finger, which was easy to do.

I feel like wet n wild read my mind by updating their coloricon bronzer line. The new packaging is reminiscent of the limited edition bronzers from the Fire vs Ice collection. Each bronzer is new, however, Ticket to Brazil is not. I decluttered it from my collection because of it’s poor pigmentation, which has not changed in the re-release. Palm Beach Ready is more of a highlight than a bronzer. What Shady Beaches and Sunset Striptease are the best bronzers out of the bunch.

coloricon eyeshadow 10 pan palettes

It is time to talk about some new 10 pan eyeshadow palettes! I remember complaining in last year’s release that the updated formula was too powdery, however, these swatched must better. The familiar formula and pigmentation is back! These palettes are actually dupes for high-end palettes. For example, My Glamour Squad is a dupe for Anastasia’s Soft Glam palette. All of the swatches impressed me, except for V.I. purple. There is not much difference between the two purples and and browns in that palette. Otherwise, I like what I see.

perfectpout Lip Scrub in Brown Sugar Cassonade

Brown Sugar Cassonade is the only new lip scrub. The watermelon and tangerine ones were originally released as limited edition in the Flights of Fancy collection. However, wet n wild brought them back permanently. I am glad, because the drugstore needs lip scrubs. This scrub smells like pure brown sugar. To illustrate how I use these, I scoop out a small amount with a silicone makeup spatula, then I use my fingers to rub the product all over my lips.

We have a new lipstick line featuring sleek packaging and a smooth formula that is full coverage in one swipe. The shade range, for the most part, is appropriate for daily wear. The finish is demi-matte. In other words, it is not completely matte but has a slight sheen. Judging by the swatches, I think these will last well.

megalast Liquid Catsuit Metallic Liquid Eyeshadows

Moving back to the eyes in these new wet n wild 2019 products, I have two metallic liquid eyeshadows to share. The level of shine is unreal with these, and they quickly dried down and set in minutes. They are great for on the eyelid application. wet n wild has pictured more shades on Instagram, but have not released any more on their website. I am not sure if there is a problem, or the pictures are showing old shades that have been repackaged. If more do get released, I will update this post.

megalast Liquid Catsuit Shimmer Liquid Eyeshadow in Fairytale Ending

Another eye product to share is a shimmer liquid eyeshadow. This formula is a bit more sheer and streaky, but still nice. Again, more shades have been pictured on Instagram but have not been released for sale.

Mega Jelly Face Primer in Clear Canvas

Here is the moment you have been waiting for – the jelly lineup! Before starting I want to say that you should probably store all of the jelly products upright. First I have the face primer. Since it is clear it is not worth swatching. It does feel like a cool liquid as you rub it on your skin. As it dries it feels more like a regular primer. The drying time is no different from any other primer that I have used. In terms of being a “jelly,” this product really jiggles in the pot. Both the primer and highlighter came with a foil seal for shipping purposes.

Mega Jelly Highlighter in Blaze & Glaze

The highlighter is not as jiggly and would probably take time for you to pour it out of the pot if you tipped it. I believe the shade Blaze & Glaze will suit most skin tones. The formula is creamy and ultra shiny. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way! I suggest dotting onto your skin and blending it with a sponge or your finger. So far so good!

Mega Jelly Eyeshadows

We have the jelly eyeshadows. The formula of the eyeshadows reminds me a lot of the highlighter. Again, these do not jiggle much but are still jelly. Each swatch is pigmented and shimmery. I say that you should treat these like cream or liquid eyeshadows. Apply a small amount and blend it out with a brush or your finger. If you go too heavy with these they will move around your eye before they set. They do dry down in a few minutes and I do not think they will budge after that. In one of the images below I show the plastic cap that comes over the eyeshadows for shipping. The caps are very difficult to remove. I carefully used scissors to pry them off and I threw them away. Overall, the colors are beautiful and you will like these if you enjoy fun hues. I do not think they will give you the “wet eye” look like they claim. The formula is more like a highlighter than a gloss.

We have three primers that correspond to the setting sprays above. Each primer is scented and tinted in like fashion to the names. This product claims to be lightweight, to transform from a cream to a liquid, and to give your makeup a soft finish while hydrating your skin. I cannot wait to try these.

photofocus Makeup Remover Stick

Next we have a rather odd product- a makeup remover stick. It claims to melt away your makeup with no mess. However, I think slathering this stick all over your face will be messy. You will still need a wipe or towel to remove your makeup and the residue. The directions state to apply it to the face with damp hands. This product may be best for use in the shower to minimize mess.

Last is the moisturizing face stick. It can be used alone or under your makeup to provide hydration.

Not only are many of these products innovative for the drugstore, wet n wild also released more products than ever this year! I did notice that many of the products are for getting your glow on.
