I asked you all on Instagram if you wanted a review of the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection, and the results are 100% yes! Knowing that it is only available from Walmart either in-store or online, my initial reaction is to let this collection go. But, give the people what they want! This is the first time that we are seeing the Fantasy Makers line outside of Halloween, and the packaging is giving me major Pump collection vibes. We are used to stencils, paint pots, and more, but this line is very different. Despite it not being Halloween, this collection is dedicated to festival season, and still provides an air of costuming with body tattoos, face jewels, dramatic lashes, and more. You can definitely rock these pieces at music, fireworks, food festivals, or just for every day use.
wet n wild states this collection is specially curated with neons, glitters, exaggerated textures, and high-energy finishes. I view this collection as a mix of pastels, neons and glitters. There is definitely an 80s vibe complete with a retro pop feel. You can view the collection’s page here. For the first time ever, I am going to be rating these products using a five-star system.
***Feel free to skip over the next sections to get on with the review. But, I have some things that need to be said.***
Issues Buying the Collection
As soon as I heard that the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection is Walmart only, I got pretty upset. Walmart’s website is not the best, and this is not the time to be going into stores. wet n wild will not be putting this collection on their website at all. I have kept track of all of the problems that I am facing getting my hands on the entire collection. This true story of my online experience should be taken into account when considering buying this collection or not.
- Random items show as a preorder, but the dates keep getting pushed back. For example, they would say April 14, then 20, finally 27.
- Random products that Walmart refuses to ship to your home. For example, out of the 10 nail polishes, there are two shades they refused to ship.
- For the items they refuse to ship, they must be done as in-store pickup. On the day that I was buying everything, Walmart wanted me to go to a store in another state. The next day the website then told me I could go to a store 30 minutes away. My local store is not carrying these items at all. So, yes, it did take me multiple in-store trips to get everything plus online shopping.
- If you are looking at the collection’s dedicated page on walmart.com, there are some missing items! The Gem Face Masks and Loose Highlighter can be found if you search them separately. However, there is an error with the Gem Face Mask in Glam Goddess. It shows as in stock, but you cannot add it to your cart due to an error.
- There are certain products on the collection page that show as out of stock ever since the collection dropped. I recommend on clicking on those products so that you are taken to the product’s actual page. From there you will be able to buy them or possibly do site to store.
- Be careful when shopping on the collection’s page. It does not show all of the options available for each product. I recommend clicking on those products so that you are taken to the product’s actual page.
- For whatever reason, Walmart would not ship the Multistick in Young & Reckless to me. I was told that product was delayed. I ultimately cancelled it and bought in-store.
- I received my order in a total of nine boxes! Their logistics is horrible! They ship the collection from all different states so everything was split up and packed oddly. Someone at the warehouse was also very lazy. These products must arrive to Walmart as a three piece unit, and the worker is to open the plastic and give you the item. There are a bunch of things where they threw the whole unit in my box, so I have duplicates of many items. I also received a Loreal lip liner that I did not purchase.
wet n wild Fantasy Makers False Lashes
The first products in the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection are five pairs of False Lashes. wet n wild’s false lashes always have a cheap appearance, and these are no different. These styles can definitely be fun for a special occasion, but otherwise they do not scream quality. I am used to that with their lashes. These look rather large to me, so I will probably need to cut the bands.
Claims: High quality, synthetic lashes. They feature a unique style and add texture, length, and volume. The band should be flexible for comfortable wear and easy use.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Gem Face Masks
Second are the Gem Face Masks. Never in my life have I attached gems to my face. I cannot see myself using these, so they are probably a waste of money. How would these stay stuck on your face once they touch your foundation and powder? It would be absurd to not wear face makeup with these. I imagine that most people use eyelash glue. But, then again, these are self-adhesive, so you really should not need to do that. Please tell me how to use these gems in the comments!
I do want to note that the adhesives/tattoos in this plastic packaging do not photograph well. When you take them out of the plastic, they actually photograph worse.
Claims: These should be easy and fool-proof to apply with no glue required. For a better hold, they can be placed on clear skin or a non-oil base.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Body Tattoos
Third are Body Tattoos. These remind me so much of the as seen on TV Shimmer Tattoos. Do you remember them? The metallic jewelry body tattoos. Well, they sank like a lead balloon and were being sold at Dollar Tree. I thought we were over the whole tattoo jewelry thing. In some ways, these are kind of juvenile. But, I can understand how they fit into the festival theme.
Claims: These can elevate your look in under one minute with easy application.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Nail Accents
Fourth are the Nail Accents. Wild Soul definitely looks like it is made for kids, but Star-Studded is beautiful! I have not known wet n wild to do nail accents in the past, but I am excited to wear Star-Studded over a nude pink polish. I would place them on the nail as a final step before top coat.
Claims: The accents last for days and are easy to apply and remove.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Setting Spray in After Party
Fifth in the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection is the Setting Spray in After Party. This definitely reminds me of their Natural Finish Setting Spray, but the ingredients are completely different. It does set your makeup and melt everything into the skin, but it does not prolong the wear of makeup. For the drugstore, I do like it and it is great for everyday use. I have no complaints on the sprayer as we have seen this packaging many times. Makeup always settles into fine lines on me and nothing really stops that.
Claims: The fine mist goes on light and does not make the skin feel tacky or tight. It should prevent cracking, melting, fading, smudging, and settling into fine lines for a flawless look. Any skin type can use this spray and enjoy hydrating and refreshing benefits.
Rating: ★★★★☆
wet n wild Fantasy Makers Setting Spray 3-in-1 Rose Primer Water in Pre Party
Does this spray look familiar? It is exactly the same as the Rose Primer Water in the regular line. All of the ingredients are exactly the same. You can use this product as a primer, setting spray, and refresher. Just as I say above on the setting spray, this stuff will set your makeup, but you will not get a bullet-proof face. It is fine for the drugstore and for daily use.
Claims: This multitasking spray keeps your skin revitalized throughout the day with a radiant finish. It also boosts hydration for fresh looking skin.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Nail Color
Next are 10 nail colors! I love wet n wild nail polish, and I am a major collector. These feature their signature ManiCurve brush. The only con is that most of these shades we have seen before, as I will get into in the bonus section.
Claims: The salon-quality formula has excellent color payoff and adhesion for long wear. The rounded ManiCurve brush lays flat to allow the polish to flow equally down the bristles.
Rating: ★★★★★

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Nail Color Face and Body Gems
Here are three sets of Face and Body Gems. Wonderland is my favorite set, but Play Zone and Rock Band do feel childish to me. Same idea here as the Gem Face Masks. I am still wondering how these will self-adhere to makeup without using eyelash glue. These actually say they are reusable, but I would think that eyelash glue or just your foundation/powder would ruin them. I probably will not be using these.
Claims: These are long-lasting, self-adhesive gems that can be placed anywhere on the body. They are reusable and easy to apply without glue.
Rating: ★★☆☆☆

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Glitter Liners
Next up are the Glitter Liners. The formula itself is a clear liner with glitter in it. As I am doing in my purple makeup look at the end of this post, I think these are best used layered over a solid eyeliner, or used to add sparkle to an eyeshadow look. They do dry down and wear all day without movement. Kaleidoscope is holographic, which is awesome! The brush on my Fireworks liner is permanently bent and messed up. It will be hard to get a precise line with it.
Claims: The formula should be buildable, quick-drying, budge-proof, long-wearing, water resistant, and water-based. Application should be smooth without flaking or transferring.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Liquid Eyeshadows
Continuing on with the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection, we have 12 liquid eyeshadows. The only new shade here is Dreamers, as I explain in the bonus section later. But, I love Dreamers! It has a metallic, duo-chrome purple blue shift. This formula is great and I highly recommend it. Do not be afraid of liquid eyeshadows! These are easy to work with before they dry down, and they do not budge, flake, or crease all day.
Claims:
- Long-wearing
- Bold, high-intensity color
- Transforms from a liquid to a solid
- Non-tacky
- Dries quickly and seamlessly without fading, creasing, transferring, or smudging
- Can be layered
- Light-weight
- Silky, smooth texture
- 3 finishes: glitter, shimmer, and metallic

wet n wild Fantasy Makers High Shine Lipsticks
Here are the nine High Shine Lipsticks. All of these shades have been released before, but I am noticing a few differences when I compare the ingredients of these to the previous releases. They wear and feel the same on the lips, so I am not sure what is being changed or why. I love how shiny and juicy these make your lips look without being sticky! The shades are absolutely gorgeous. I wish they had long staying power, but its not possible to be that shiny and last long. They are good until you start eating and drinking.
Claims: The formula delivers high-impact color and shine with opaque pigment. Your lips will feel moisturized and nourished while looking full and luscious. These are described as having the coverage of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Glitter Gels
Pressing on, I have the five Glitter Gels. This is a completely new product for wet n wild, and I adore these so much more than expected! I consider these to be like body glitter for an adult. The formula is a clear gel that is not sticky or tacky in any way. While the swatches did not fully dry down, when you pat these onto the face or body with your fingers, they do dry down and last all day. Best of all, you can apply these over powder and they look great! I attribute that to the gel formula. I can see myself rocking these on a daily basis and I am addicted to wearing them over the highlighter on my cheekbones.
Claims: The gel is super concentrated, hyper-reflective, and self-adhering. It glides on effortlessly with no mess or fall-out, and it lasts all day.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Multisticks
Here are all 14 Multisticks in shades that we have seen before. I appreciate this line because you can wear these anywhere on the face and body. Since they do not fully dry down, using them as an eyeshadow may not be the brightest idea, as creasing is imminent. Most of these are matte, but there are a few shimmer shades.
Claims: These sticks are intensely pigmented, blendable, buildable, and velvety with a cream-to-powder finish. You can apply them to the eyes, cheeks, and lips.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Lip Glosses
Continuing on with the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection, I have the nine Lip Glosses. You know that I hate lip gloss, but wet n wild’s formula is the best because it is not sticky! Now we just need a lip gloss that can last through eating and drinking. But, I know that is impossible. No FOMO is my favorite because it smells like a delicious cookie and I really want to eat it, but I will refrain. I am not sure why the others do not smell like cookies. Most of these colors we have seen before.
Claims: These deliver a translucent, mirror-like shine that make your lips look fuller and amplified. They also moisturize your lips.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Pigment Palettes
Next up are the Pigment Palettes. I admit that they look super pretty in the pans! They do have a warning that they should not be used on the eyes, and I hate when products say that when they are clearly eyeshadow palettes. You must be curious about the glitters. The glitters are equivalent to the coloicon Glitter Singles, the whole Vaseline mixed with glitter situation. I find the formula of the glitters to be very inconsistent, meaning some feel drier than others. That is evidenced by the swatches themselves- the glitters that look more finely dispersed and are overall bad swatches are the drier ones. I find that the glitters do not dry down, so they do crease horribly on the eyes. You can also see in the pans of the swatched glitters a black look because I am literally hitting the bottom of the pan just by swatching. They do not give you very much glitter.
The actual matte and shimmer shadows leave a lot to be desired with the swatches, but you can work with them and build them up on the eye just fine. I am disappointed by these because I have no desire to use the glitters. I would rather have a full palette of the actual pressed shadows.
Claims: Each palette is color coordinated, with different textures and finishes. These are perfect for creating monochromatic looks. You can layer the shadows and even use them wet. The finishes are glitter, shimmer, metallic, and matte.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Highlighters
Here in the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection are the Highlighters. Out of five shades, only one is new. These are definitely the megaglo Highlighters that we have all become accustomed to and love. Just look at how the product in the pan shines under the light! I am sad to report that Flash Me applies like straight up glitter on the face, but it swatches normally. I do not like highlights that act like glitter. Otherwise, the remaining shades are just fine.
Claims: They provide high-impact, light-catching dimension with a silky smooth and buttery texture. The buildable formula allows you to control the glow, from subtle to intense.

wet n wild Fantasy Makers Loose Highlighting Powder in Spark-gasm
I am ending the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection with the only Loose Highlighting Powder. These are always intensely pigmented and metallic, so a little goes a long way. What can I say, I love it, but the shade is a repeat.
Claims: The formula contains iridescent pearls and light-catching pigments for an intense payoff. You can also mix it into foundations, primers, and moisturizers for a glassy finish. This product can be applied all over the body, and you can control the luminosity by building it up.

Looks
I am using items from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection to create three makeup looks! All of these looks are made from 100% wet n wild makeup. I am letting the color schemes of the pigment palettes to inspire color-theme looks! You will notice that I am using The 40 Palette to supplement the eyeshadow looks, as you do not get base or transition shades in the pigment palettes. All products used are listed.
Note: the pigment palettes do have a warning to not use them on the eyes. I am choosing to do so and taking the risk, but you should follow all safety instructions and warnings on product packaging.
#1 Mustard yellow & gold
For the eyeshadow look I am using the 40 Palette to set the eyeshadow primer, and I am placing some nude brown shades in the crease. To create the halo eye effect, I am packing on the matte mustard yellow shade from the Pigment Palette onto the eyelid, but I am leaving a blank area in the middle. In the middle I am applying the liquid eyeshadow. I am wearing the shimmer gold shade from the Pigment Palette along the lower lash line. The Multistick is being used to highlight the brow bone and inner corner.

#2 Red (I call it Queen of Hearts)
For the eyeshadow look look I am using the 40 Palette to set the eyeshadow primer, and I am placing some nude brown shades in the crease. The liquid eyeshadow is being applied to half of my eyelid, starting from the inner corner. While it is still tacky, I am pressing the red glitter from the Pigment Palette on top. I am using the matte red shade from the Pigment Palette on the outer-v and the shimmer red shade along the lower lash line. My inner corner and brow bone is highlighted with the Flash Me highlighter. You will also see the Glitter Gel applied on my cheekbones, layered over the highlighter.

#3 Purple (Purple Rain or Alien)
For the eyeshadow look look I am using the 40 Palette to set the eyeshadow primer, and I am placing some nude brown shades in the crease. On the eyelid and lower lash line I am applying the matte purple shade from the Punkster Pigment Palette, and I am taking the shimmer shade from that same palette and applying it on the outer-v. I am applying the liquid eyeshadow over top of the matte purple eyeshadow only, which goes about half way across the eyelid. From the Pink-a-Palooza Pigment Palette I am using the shimmer shade for my brow bone and inner corner highlight. Once the black eyeliner is dry, I am applying the glitter liner over it. You will also see the Glitter Gel applied on my cheekbones, layered over the highlighter.

Bonus! Product Comparisons
If you have read any of my previous wet n wild collection posts, you know that I always provide bonus comparisons. wet n wild is famous for re-releasing past products under a new name and in a new package. So, I typically do side-by-side swatches and I tell you what is a repeat. That way if you already have the old item, you can save your money by not being tricked into buying the new.
Usually there are only a handful of repeats. Well, with the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection, there is an entire list! I did not think it would be productive to attempt to swatch all of these items because this will make the blog post double in size. What I am doing instead is that I am creating a list in OneNote of the repeats, and I am pasting it here. With this list you can cross-reference the product shade names, as well as the collection it is from, so that you do not buy any repeats. This is a great post to bookmark! I will provide some links to the blog posts where you can find the original swatches and reviews of said items. (FM = Fantasy Makers, wnw = wet n wild)

Conclusion
In summary of the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection, this is the most disappointing collection by far. First of all, the issues with Walmart are a real bummer. When we consider quality, we know that wet n wild is capable of better, especially with the Pigment Palettes. A huge percentage of this collection is actually repeat products from not just their everyday line, but from past collections, simply renamed and repackaged. This means a lack of creativity is present here. I recommend that you only buy the products that interest you the most. In my opinion, there is no reason to buy the full collection, considering the fact that it will be a pain in the neck, and because you probably have a lot of these already from their other collections. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
Will you be buying anything from the wet n wild Fantasy Makers Neon collection?

Did you see they rereleased this with more products a few new colors to the current line. I just hope they dont make it as hard to find as it was last year. Supposedly its a display with the new Sponge Bob release
Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I had no idea about a new collection at all. I was just in Walmart today and there was nothing. I’m going to start researching. I will do a review once I get everything. Totally agree with you- it was a nightmare getting the products last year.
Hey Charlene, I wanted to follow-up with you. I have purchased the 2021 Fantasy Makers Neon collection and the Spongebob collection. I bought the new items for this year, but there was a lot from last year. Reviews are coming! I found them in the Walmart 30 minutes away from me and nothing is online yet. Thank you again – I really appreciate you taking the time to bring this to my attention.
You are so very welcome. It seems like this is going to be a worse run around than last years as it isnt on line and even if it is it wont let your order and go pick up. Also they are giving false info like saying a Walmart has it when they dont. I saw only one item online the body gel and It said I could get it at the 2 walmarts nearest me but nope. Nothing there SMH
Looking forward to your review
