This blog post is doing double duty as a Gabe’s haul! If you are not familiar, Gabe’s is a discount store much like TJMaxx, Marshalls, and Ross. Often, their makeup finds are discontinued or random brands you have never heard of before. I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw a display of Revlon. On the display was 18 lipsticks in three finishes, and six lip liner options. I went crazy and bought one of everything! Each item was $1.99, so I will let you do the math there. This deal is incredible, especially considering none of these items are discontinued. I am turning this haul into a Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick review where I will share swatches and shade descriptions. At the end I have all the lip liners as a bonus.
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Review
Purchase Options
For the most part, the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick line is a drugstore classic that has been around for a while. You can find these lipsticks at most major retailers in-stores or online that carry Revlon. For simplicity, the major online players appear to be Walmart, Ulta, Target, and Amazon.
Creme Lipstick
I am starting this Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick review with the Creme formula. I have eight shades to share.
Claims
Get ready, as this lipstick makes a boatload of claims. As for the color, it contains microfine pigments to provide vibrancy and a high-impact. The formula should be creamy, lush, lightweight, and moisturizing. The two key ingredients are vitamin E and avocado oil, which attribute to the buttery and hydrating feeling. Finally, these lipsticks should not cake.
Review & Swatches
When I think of classic drugstore lipstick, this line fits the bill. Starting with the packaging, it is a lightweight, black plastic tube featuring a luxurious gold interior. Nothing is stamped on the lipstick bullet. Creme means the formula is not matte, nor does it contain and shimmers or metallics. This formula is very smooth and comfortable. It does not drag or tug. You can build it up to full coverage. The finish is shiny. It will transfer as it does not dry down to the lips, which is fully expected of standard lipstick. I can confirm that the claims are met.

- Pink Velvet: Muted rose pink

Matte Lipstick
Next in this Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick review is the Matte line. I have six shades.
Claims
The Matte line claims to provide full-coverage color that feels supple and smooth on the lips. The formula is infused with various botanicals, including agave, moringa oil, and capuacu butter. Application should be easy with the precise bullet shape.
Review & Swatches
Sometimes when we think of Revlon we think of it as the brand of makeup that your mom wears. Revlon struggles to appeal to those in the target age group of this blog. Everything about these lipsticks absolutely targets them to us! For starters, the packaging is matte black and it has a feeling of weight and quality to it. The Revlon logo is stamped on the bullets. I find these to be full-coverage in one swipe. Just like the Creme line, they do not drag or tug. These will transfer, as they do not dry down onto the lips like a matte liquid lipstick. However, the rate of transfer is less than that of the Creme or Pearl line. Again, I can confirm the claims are met.
Color Descriptions
- Crushed Rubies: Red
- Pick Me Up: Taupe brown
- Heartbreaker: Vibrant pink
- If I Want To: Nude
- Insane: Berry red
- Shameless: Brown-toned red
Pearl Lipstick
The last round of lipsticks is the Pearl line. I have four shades.
Claims
The claims for the Pearl line are exactly the same as the Creme line mentioned above.
Review & Swatches
Since the claims are the same as the Creme line, my review really is, too. Even the packaging is the same. Pearl means the shades contain a slight shimmer, but nothing over the top. This formula is very smooth and comfortable. It does not drag or tug. You can build it up to a medium to high-medium coverage. The finish is shiny. It will transfer as it does not dry down to the lips, which is fully expected of standard lipstick. I can confirm that the claims are met.

Bonus! Revlon Colorstay Longwear Lip Liner Review
As I said in the intro, the Gabe’s Revlon display also had six Revlon Colorstay Longwear Lip Liners! You can definitely rock these with the above lipsticks, on their own, or with any lip color. I am going to swatch and review them as an added bonus.
Purchase Options
Like I said for the lipsticks, you should be able to find these lip liners online and in-stores at most major retailers that carry Revlon. I am having good success finding them online at Target, Walmart, and Amazon.
Claims
These lip liners claim to wear for eight hours while being smudge proof. They should prevent bleeding and feathering of your lip color with smooth and even application. A pull-out sharpener is included.
Packaging
The lip liners feature a retractible pencil. However, you can remove the bottom end to reveal a sharpener. This feature is perfect to keep the tip at a point if you do not prefer how it rounds over time.
Review and Swatches
The swatches evidence that these lip liners have a matte formula. I found them very difficult to wash off as they really adhere to the skin, which is good to support the claims! They provide full-coverage in one swipe that does not drag or pull. I find the tip to be the perfect size to apply easily, but the sharpener is a great bonus. The shade range is smartly created in a range of reds, pinks, nudes, and berries, to help you match as many lip colors in your collection as possible. Again, these meet their claims, and I will be wearing them often.
Color Descriptions
Below are the shade names of all of the shades that I have. The names directly describe the color, so additional description is not needed.

Conclusion
To summarize this Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick review, each formulation 100% meets its claims. If you love a great, classic drugstore lipstick, look no further than the Super Lustrous line and all of its colors and finishes. My collection is just starting out and there is so much more to explore. When I reach for standard lipstick I will definitely be wearing these. I am most excited for the mattes, because a good matte lip is my favorite above all else. All of these shades are super wearable and will make you feel like you can conquer the world. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.

I don’t have much Revlon myself. I think they struggle to stay relevant in the constantly changing landscape of beauty. The lipsticks are worth it!
Oh wow, what a bargain! I haven’t bought anything from Revlon in so long, but so many of these colours are shouting me xx

I hear you. Revlon is not a brand that comes to mind very often, but, they do have some awesome shades! The matte lipsticks and shade range really speak to our generation.
