We are heading into fall and into a Play! by Sephora September 2019 review. The theme of the box is Must-See Beauty, where we are promised to get products that will “entertain.” I am not sure what that means. Maybe these products will provide noticeable results? Or perhaps they are odd looking or innovative in some way. No matter what the deal is, we have to open the box to find out the truth. Time to begin!
Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb
The first product in this Play! by Sephora September 2019 review is Belif’s The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb. Believe it or not, this is a repeat from the September 2018 box, but this time the sample is deluxe size. This product claims to leave your skin smooth, supple, and nurtured for up to 26 hours. You are to apply a quarter-size amount to your skin in the morning and night.
Amika Bushwick Beach No Salt Wave Spray
Second is Amika’s Bushwick Beach No Salt Wave Spray. My holy grail wave spray is from Ouai. Will this one stand up? It is only $1 cheaper so I really do not care if it is a dupe or not. I like the idea of saltless wave sprays because the salt gives me hard and tangly hair that is horrible to tame. Amika’s directions are to shake this product well and then to spray it on damp or dry hair. Then you twist or scrunch your hair to get the wave. Finally, let it air dry or blow dry. From personal experience I like to apply wave sprays to damp hair, then dampen the hair more, scrunch with my hands, and allow to air dry without messing with it. This product has a beachy smell.
Fresh Rose Floral Toner
Third is the Rose Floral Toner from Fresh. It claims to calm, clarify, refresh, hydrate, and to prep the skin for makeup application. You are to use it two times per day, in the morning and evening. It can be sprayed directly onto the skin or applied with a cotton round. It smells like roses, just like Fresh’s other products. You should get 24 hour moisturization.
Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Black
Fourth is the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash Mascara in Black. It claims to deliver serious length, volume, and lift, all with a weightless formula. The packaging is very luxe, but the wand looks ordinary. I am amused by the fact that this mascara comes with a piece of paper that states to “avoid contact with your eyes,” yet this is a mascara.
Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in Shade 3
Fifth is Benefit’s Gimme Brow+ in the shade 3. Sephora has sent me so many samples of this exact shade and product. I know that it works perfectly fine, the shade is great for me, and the wand is the perfect size for application. For those of you who do not know this product, it claims to volumize, tint, and tame your eyelashes with the use of microfibers. Repeats just pain me because I make an effort to use up, or “pan” products, but I have to keep panning the same products instead of getting to my main collection.
Yves Saint Laurent Libre
The last product in this Play! by Sephora September 2019 review is Libre perfume by Yves Saint Laurent. I try a lot of perfume samples with this subscription, and I usually like them all (I am not picky), just not enough to buy the full size. Only two other perfumes peak my interest enough for a repurchase, but I think this will be the third! It is mainly a floral scent with plenty of orange blossom and lavender, but it also has a note of something musky or masculine. The scent is definitely unique and a head-turner.
We are at the end of this Play! by Sephora September 2019 review. Again, I am saddened by repeats, but I am most excited for the perfume. Testing out the wave spray will also be fun. What do you think about this box? Do you use any of these products already? Please let me know in the comments. Until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
