Spring is upon us which means I am doing my Play! by Sephora March 2019 review. The theme of the box is Beauty in Bloom. The thought process is that the products inside will help us get ready for the new season. I really have no idea what to expect in the box. Time to jump straight in.
Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen
The first item in my Play! by Sephora March 2019 review is a product that upon first glance I am thinking I will not use. After further inspection, I am excited to try this product! Unseen Sunscreen is a weightless, colorless, scentless sunscreen that claims to act as a primer to grip your makeup with a matte finish and a pore blurring effect. It does have a slight sunscreen scent. You are to apply a dime-sized amount after your skincare products, but before your makeup.
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo
Second I have a dry shampoo by Amika. It claims to absorb oils while leaving hair smooth, soft, volumized, and refreshed. You are to shake the can and then spray it 10-12 inches away from your hair. Be sure to massage it in and brush thoroughly.
Sephora LashCraft Big Volume Mascara
Third I have a repeat sample from the September 2018 box– Sephora’s Big Volume Mascara. It claims to be full volume while preventing flaking, smudging, or clumping. The pigment should be a saturated black, and the curved wand is supposed to coat every lash.
Drybar Triple Sec
The fourth item in my Play! by Sephora March 2019 review is a repeat but one of my holy grails at the same time- Drybar’s Triple Sec. I cannot be mad about this sample! It is a weightless texturizing spray that also volumizes and absorbs some oils. My favorite use for Triple Sec is to spray it all over curls instead of hairspray. For me, my curls last better and I have waves for days. The powder fresh scent is also nice.
Nars Bronzing Powder in Laguna
Next I have a cult favorite bronzer, which is Laguna by Nars. This particular shade works well for my skintone, and it has a mild shimmer. It does live up to its claims about being buildable and radiant with a soft finish. There is no orange in sight!
Versace Bright Crystal
The final item in my Play! by Sephora March 2019 review is the fragrance sample. Bright Crystal is a sensual scent that features iced accord, pomegranate, peony, musk, and more. It is the perfect scent for feeling feminine and glamorous.
In summary of my Play! by Sephora March 2019 review, some products are repeats while others are new to me. The products do not connect to spring, at least in my opinion. I am excited to try the Laguna bronzer and to get some more Triple Sec. Overall, I am not disappointed by this average box. Will you be trying any of these items? Let me know in the comments, and until next time, continue to let your true beauty shine.
