I was able to get my hands on a three pack of full size anti-frizz products from Garnier after Christmas at a seriously low price. Let me just say, I am impressed! I sought out the full line in order to do a Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine review. With this review I will be covering each product individually in detail. I will also be sharing an anti-frizz haircare routine using this line. Brands always tell you that you have to use everything from a line in order for the affects to work properly, but, I think that is a marketing lie. Along the way, I will let you know what you actually need from the line, or if you do need it all. I started by using everything individually, then moved my test to one product at a time and adding on.

Garnier Fructis Sleek And Shine Review
I would like to provide context on my hair type. My hair has been naturally frizzy my entire life, even before I started using bleach, and still today now that I have grown it out. I used to wonder why my hair did not look like everyone else’s. Over the years, the only product that took the frizz away was the Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil. I swear by it, but it is also expensive. I have tried my fair share of oils and nothing compares. My hair is also thin and fine.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-In Conditioner
First in this Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine review is the Leave-In Conditioner. I have been using leave-in conditioner in my damp hair for years. Some weigh the hair down or actually give a dried-out product resisude feeling. This conditioner is the real deal! It is so lightweight and creamy. I could see after just a few uses that my hair had a healthy shine. It is the first smoothing conditioner that I can say actually works 100%. Now I regret the other conditioners in my stockpile and I want to get rid of them. This product is an absolute must-have from the line!

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner
Second is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner. The shampoo is a clear gel and very lightweight, almost reminding me of a clarifying shampoo. The conditioner has that nice and creamy feel that you would expect. As a duo they do a fine job of cleansing and detangling. They alone are not enough to cut the frizz, so technically you can skip these. I also want to say that everything in this line makes your hair shiny in a good, healthy way, but nothing really stands out or is over the top like the leave-in conditioner.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
Third is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Anti-Frizz Serum. For the most part, the products in this line smell identical, but the serum has something more fruity in it like melon and it is divine! One pump is enough to cut the frizz entirely! It absolutely replaces the Ouai oil in my routine, which I did not see coming. I cannot use the serum and the Garnier oil together. It is one or the other, but the affects are virtually the same. Using them together would leave my hair looking wet and oily. This definitely imparts some shine as well. The directions say to apply it to dry or damp hair. I find that it does nothing when I apply it damp. Dry is the way to go!

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Smoothing Oil
Fourth is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Moroccan Sleek Smoothing Oil. I can confidently tell you that this oil works just as well as Oaui for me, for the first time ever! With other oils I always have that experience of my hair looking great for five to 30 minutes, then it is as if the oil has worn off or been absored and the frizz fully comes back. Garnier gets the job done! You always have to experiment with oil to find the right amount for your hair, and that will change with the length. Expect to look crazy for a few days until you figure it out. You need this or the serum.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine 10-in-1 Multitasking Leave-In
Fifth is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine 10-in-1 Multitasking Leave-In. This product comes off as confusing to me along with the leave-in. Products like this that claim to do 10 plus things feel like a lie to me. This product alone does not cut my frizz, and it is not as good as the leave-in. However, I do use it as my heat protectant spray, or to dampen my hair for heatless curls. It may be optional for you if you do not care for those things.

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Glass Hair Water
Last is the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Glass Hair Water. When I hear “glass hair” I am expecting some major shine. This does not give any more or less shine than the other products. I also do not find that it makes the hair any softer or smooter. To me, this is the weakest link in the line and I am considering not repurchasing it. Plus, it is designed to be used up more quickly and bought more often. I also wanted to address the warming sensation. You will feel it on your hands, and it is not bad. If you have any cuts anywhere, it might slightly burn.

Hair Routine For Frizzy Hair
Now for this Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine review I want to share how I am using everything for a hair routine for frizzy hair! I do start with the shampoo and conditioner. Once a week, I use the Glass Hair Water after the conditioner. After, I brush out any tangles and towel-dry my hair with a 100% cotton t-shirt. I then apply a quarter-size amount of leave-in conditioner to my damp hair, focusing it on the lengths and ends.
Once my hair is dry, I prefer a wide tooth comb or a brush that will not add frizz. I currently use The Wet Brush comb and Tangle Teezer brush. Then, I apply either the serum OR the oil. For the serum, one pump into the palm of my hand is enough, and I focus it on the ends and work it up the lengths. I do the same with the oil, but, I part my hair in half first. I have learned how much oil each half needs. The 10-in-1 leave in is reserved for heat protectant when I need it.
Do not forget to wash your brushes regularly to avoid re-depositing oils and dead skin! I have a full tutorial on how to clean hair brushes that is super easy.
