This Walmart Beauty Box Spring 2021 review is special because it is the first box since Brandshare changed the subscription. The new price is $6.98, an increase from $5, and they are promising a higher quality box with six items. We are going to unbox and review everything together. As you can imagine, I am placing this box under scrutiny, and I have a lot to say.

Right off the bat, it should be obvious that I was jipped. My box only has five items instead of six. I was really hoping for the Dashing Diva nail polish strips, and maybe I would have gotten them if one item was not left out. For an increased price I am somewhat sad over these tiny samples. On a good note, nothing here is a repeat, and I am pumped about the scrunchies. Further, this box arrived early in Spring! We are so used to these boxes arriving a season late. I will say they charged my card on February 25 and it took a month for them to actually ship it.

Olay Ultra Rich Hydrating Moisturizer

This moisturizer claims to instantly hydrate and visibly firm with no greasy feeling. You are to smooth it over your clean face and neck both in the morning and night. This is a white cream with no scent.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer

This primer claims to grip makeup for 12 hours while it plumps, moisturizes, and perfects the skin. This is a clear gel formula with no scent. My combination skin responds well to gel products when it comes to oil production, so I have high hopes that it will hydrate without the grease! I have to say, I have been liking all my recent Hard Candy primer and setting spray samples. They have definitely stepped up their game. I never seem to get to try the matching setting sprays and primers together, though.

Hello Antiplaque + Whitening Fluoride Free Toothpaste in Natural Peppermint

Walmart has sent me plenty of Hello over the years, but this one is new to me. It claims to brush away plaque, to eliminate tartar, and to naturally whiten. This is white toothpaste with an inviting peppermint scent/flavor that is not overbearing. I genuinely enjoy this brand, even when I do not see any particular results.

Wild Primrose by Scunci 5 Piece Scrunchies

This outdoes the value of the box single-handedly! Are these scrunchies cute or what?! There was several variations that I could have received, but I am pleased with these. As you can see, we have a variety of textures here, from silky, to cotton, and velvet. One scrunchie has a bow, and we have two prints. You bet I am excited to wear these! The quality is definitely present. FYI, the Wild Primrose line is made exclusively for Walmart.

Tanologist Self Tan Face + Body Drops in Medium

You can mix these into your makeup, skincare, or body care products. The more that you apply, the darker your tan will be. This formula claims to not block pores or to dry the skin out. Nor should it transfer onto fabrics. I have zero interest in tanning, so this packet is going straight into my donate box. This is personally a disappointing sample to receive.

I am happy for no repeats and the timeliness of the box. But, I am disappointed to have a missing item and to receive self tanning drops. Ultimately, I will stick with this subscription and see how it goes. The increased price point does not yet appear to be changing anything about the products themselves in terms of size.
