Box of Style Spring 2020 Review

I never heard of the Box of Style until I saw it as an ad on Instagram. As it turns out, this box is nothing new and has been around for a few years. This is actually Rachel Zoe’s own subscription box service of high-end or luxury goods. I am scoring a major deal on the spring 2020 box, so I figured I would do a Box of Style spring 2020 review as a new piece of content for you all!

Here are the stats on the box. This is a quarterly subscription that costs $99 per quarter, or you can pay up front for a whole year at $349.99 which saves you $50 annually. The total value of this spring box is $443. However, I am using a coupon code that is lowering the price of this box to $69, plus the coupon adds in a pair of earrings valued at $168. The total value of my particular box is now $611! Now you see why I cannot pass this deal up! I am doing this as a one-time thing just because of the incredible value, but I will not subscribe moving forward.

This box comes with a small info booklet that provides details about the products. It is very nice and kind of like a mini magazine. The box itself is made of a sturdy cardboard with magnetic closure and a faux snakeskin effect. Let’s unbox this and explore the products inside.

R + Co Waterfall Moisture Shine Lotion, $29

The first item in this Box of Style spring 2020 review is R + Co’s Waterfall Moisture Shine Lotion. You may be wondering what on earth this product is based upon the name. It is a haircare product! You can apply it to damp hair and then allow your hair to air dry or blow dry. Or, you can apply it to dry hair. It claims to tame fly aways and to moisturize your ends while providing shiny, soft, manageable hair. This product is designed for fine to medium and extra long hair.

BaYou With Love Oval Chain Bracelet, $195

Second is BaYou With Love’s Oval Chain Bracelet. It is the perfect subtle statement piece that pairs with everything- from a t-shirt to an evening gown. This bracelet is made from recycled brass plated with 14k yellow gold. It will stack well with other bracelets.

Diff Eyewear Bella Sunglasses – Black, $85

Third are the Bella Sunglasses from Diff Eyewear. I have the option of selecting either tortoise or black, and I am picking black. This is my first ever pair of sunglasses that come with a drawstring bag! How fancy is that! The oversized frames can really amplify any look and they claim to be flexible, thus comfortable.

Erno Laszlo Hydraphel Skin Supplement, $60

Fourth is Erno Laszlo’s Hydraphel Skin Supplement. The packaging and even the box seems very luxe. This is a toner water that claims to enable your other skincare to perform better. You want to apply it to cleansed skin either with a cotton round or by patting it into your skin with your fingers. It should hydrate, calm, refresh, even skin tone, and eliminate dullness and dryness. Additionally, it can clear away dead skin cells and other residues. This product can be used both day and night and should be followed with your other skincare products.

Shiraleah Arden Tote, $74

Fifth in this Box of Style April 2020 review is the Arden Tote by Shiraleah. This bag is totally something Rachel Zoe would carry on the daily because she features slouchy bags such as this one in her Living in Style book. It is incredibly spacious and can even hold a laptop. It features a magnetic closure, and it has a zipper pouch on the inside to hold your phone, keys, wallet, etc. The material is a very soft vegan leather and suede. You can pair this bag with most outfits, from work wear, to dresses. The tan hue really pops against winter jackets as a transitional spring piece.

BaYou with Love Chain Earrings, $168

Next are the BaYou with Love Chain Earrings, which is a special freebie that I get for my new subscription and for using a coupon code. These do not come with the box otherwise, but they match the bracelet very well. I imagine that the material is the same as the bracelet, but no info is being included.

Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara

I am surprised to see a few Chanel samples that I had no idea were being thrown in! I am sharing pictures of this entire Le Volume De Chanel mascara sample, because I am super amused by the overdone packaging. First, you get a box, then you open the box and you have a bag. The bag includes a card that basically tells you nothing, and the mascara sample itself. Good ol’ Chanel being extra! You can just throw the tube right in my shipping box and I do not mind. This mascara formula looks like it will be wet and clumpy. It claims to have a ‘high-precision’ formula with instant volume and intense pigment for an eye-opening effect.

Chanel Gabrielle

The other Chanel sample and final item from this Box of Style spring 2020 review is of the Gabrielle fragrance. This is a single use sample where you pull the tab straight up and then squeeze the cardboard to spray it onto yourself. With notes of jasmine, orange blossom, tuberose, and ylang-ylang, this classic floral scent is considered to be the essence of a woman.

We have reached the end of this Box of Style spring 2020 review. I figure that many of my readers may not have been familiar with this box, as I was not, so I am happy to share it! Ultimately, it is outside of my price point, but the spring box is a deal too sweet to skip out on. I will find a way to wear and use what I have received. I am most excited to style the jewelry!
